When Moira wrote that song for some reason she couldn't finish it for 2 years. The first part of the song is full of sorrow and pain that she is always asking why this and why that, spent her life complaining to God. Then she met Jason and she stared at him then she finished the song for only 10 minutes. Then the other half of the song became a hopeful one. The song she assumed to be heartbreaking turned out to be a hopeful song,

Just to share: It is deep and I think, base on the lyrics and the video itself, her Father leaving symbolizes his (Father) death. It is more likely the meaning since one of the lyrics translates to "I found you in God's place", and if you notice- in the entire song lyrics, she is like complaining to God and at the last lyrics, she said she has found hope (which is Jason) and that Jason was the one who never left her even if she is already giving up. If that is the actual case, then it means that the Father did not abandon her and got to another physical place, but he left her to be with God.

@@Vixiebabe Sorry! I did not know and I just found some information regarding it, the song for me seem to have a deeper meaning and symbolizes something, but I guess I was miscalculated. Her parents' marriage was 'annulled' back when she was 3 years old, since in the Philippines- a child has to be 7 years old, in order to pick which side they will stay, and her Dad moved far away. Yet, she got a Stepdad, and they reunited after 12 years in another place, San Francisco. By 2019, both her biological Father and Step Father got the chance to see her in her wedding with Jayson.

Yes she is a great storyteller precisely because of the honesty of her songs and concepts -- she allows emotions no matter how raw to be the narrator and catalyst of her tales. I'm curious what she thinks about baring her vulnerabilities, or maybe they're not vulnerabilities to her? Maybe there really is a sense of security in their "Wingman" that even those laid bare are done so as celebration.
Waleska is so on point on her interpretation from what I know and remembered when I watched her vlog a few years back where she was meeting her father is the USA. Her parents separated when she was young and she only had communication with her father again when she was older I am not sure with the details though so anyone can correct me if I am wrong 😁.
Now enter Jason her best friend who eventually became the love of her life helped her a lot in dealing with these unresolved issues and she found what she was praying for through him. The video is really very realistic in terms of Moira's own experience. Enjoyed this as always!

Wale you’re actually right. Moira joined singing contest but never won because her way pf singing is not typical and not the same with what’s normal in the Philippines. She tried emulating the most common genre but it just didn’t work for her and so she accepted her own genre and her way of singing just exploded.

Bathala is another word we use for God. But it does not have any Catholic or Christian origins. The Philippines has it's own version of Gods/Goddesese. Bathala = Zeus.
The part "tagpuan ni bathala" translates to God's meeting place. Moira and Jason, if I am not mistaken met at church.
