Also should add .. if the conditions are right . Ride at great speed with edging board at a forming wave . Hit like a ski ramp will give amazing hight to your jump 😁👍
CheckedJackets thanks my friend! Blake and I spend a lot of time planning to get these right. Comments like this make it worth it. If you have a trick you're working on let us know and Blake & I will make it for you. - Rygo
Thank you Blake, I’ve been watching your video since I started kiteboarding. You helped me a lot. Even if I had to watch the video about how to go upwind 5 times before I get it. It wad exactly how you said. “everything will come together and I was finally be able to come back on the same spot where I started.” I am looking forward for the next step because I want to fly in thr air. I know it will take some time and some tries and crashes but I am sure I will make it with your videos. Thank you again.

Thx for the video! But I'm not sure the words match the video well enough? Watch 1:38 thru 1:40. Blake doesn't sheet out and then send kite to 12 ... look carefully: he sheets out with bar simultaneously moving kite to 12. Might be really important? Would love to see another video breaking down the bar control and timing more accurately.
Hi Northern Secret. Thanks for the feedback! I think you are correct. We're going to have to follow up with a second video on jumping where we go into more detail. The timing with sheeting and when to pop can vary slightly from kite to kite. It also varies a little bit depending on the kite size and the corresponding wind conditions. So that might be something to explore. Let us know if you have any other video requests. -Rygo
You said sheet out once you reach the peak of your jump? Won’t that make you fall faster? Every other video I see they say to sheet out and steer the kite just before landing like 10’-5’ above ground.
I jumped and must have flown straight downwind cause when i landed my kite lines were so slack that the kite just backstalled and crashed. I know you are meant to start steering it back to the side when landing so u can ride away but that is not really possible if ur lines are that slack. What did I do wrong? Not edging enough?
A few tips without seeing you ride. The body follows the head. Look where you want to go. I’m this case down wind. Stay small. Bring your knees close. Try a few smaller jumps and practice staying in control. You might just need to build a little strength overtime for more control. - Rygo
The shot of the shark was epic!!! Amazing you got it so good.

Cheers man, glad to get some details on the bar. Sheet out when sending and sheet out when landing. I was not sure about those. Thanks.
Honestly your videos are one of the most concise and educational I've seen regarding basic tricks! Thank you very much!

Can't wait to use this to go big. Thanks for the vid.
Yeah bro!
Good video but it would be more informative if the kiting video clips were slowed down more so we could see what the kiter and kite are doing.

Probably flew the kite too far behind you. Your body overtook the kite and the lines went slack.
Hello Blake I have a question I keep on spinning in the air when I jump up. What can I do to just jump in control?

Really well explained! Thx mate!
Glad it helped Michael. How is the progression going? - Rygo
Damn dude. Is this a shadow or a shark at 1:00-1:01 in the water?
Thank you for sharing the stoke, my friend. 🤙🏽 Yeah, Blake sees lots of Bull Sharks out there kiting in the Keys. Good winds! -Aaron
Hey where is the video where Blake hurts his hand and then jumps over a shark!
Great Video,, What is the reasoning to depower the kite upon landing? If I depower, will I not drop faster?
Sometimes, It's good to sheet out a little to initiate the decent. Other times it's useful to slowdown a little upon landing.
Estaría muy bueno para el público hispano parlante que tuviera subtitulado en castellano estos videos educativos
