    The ring for a quart mason jar is good for balancing your tile because it has a wider circumference and is lower.

    This video is so helpful!! I think yours is the first video (that I've watched anyways) that adds the alcohol down before the colours! My alcohol is only 70% so I'm hoping it will work! Thank you for the tips :)

    • @abstractboss
      @abstractboss  3 года назад +1

      Thanks! I’ve used 70% too, just takes longer to evaporate but definitely usable for this type of project. You can do the projects both ways, alcohol first or color first but I find the alcohol first spreads better

      yes, lots! it is just the same as a top coat on an art piece. pour the resin in a thick enough layer and make sure to set it in a dust free zone. Also use a resin that is heat resistant so you can put coffee mugs on it

    So pretty. I'm having a marathon of your playlist. Have you done any resin making a faux stained glass? I saw a video the other day she used tulip fabric puffy paint as the lead for the stained glass and then poured resin in. She did have the puffy paint sitting on top of a thin layer of resin and then in fully encased in resin. Anyway have you done anything like that?

    • @abstractboss
      @abstractboss  4 года назад +1

      rita pita you are the best hahaha I love that you are supporting my channel by watching my vids! Thank you. I haven’t used puffy paint before but I’ve seen artists use a glue gun for the lines to contain different resin and then pour over top so the glue gun doesn’t lift because normally it wouldn’t stick to resin

    • @abstractboss
      @abstractboss  4 года назад

      Alysia’s Journey I have found that a heat gun helps to dry the ink faster which sets the color more vibrantly. A blow dryer is harder, blows it around longer but can create great lines as long as you keep the ink moving back and forth
