    Nebula itself looks amazing but what’s even more mindblowing is the background filled with crazy number of stars and, I guess, galaxies.
    Thanks for putting into perspective time and distance the light traveled through.

      Yes, the stars are quite overwhelming. I had to significantly decrease their size to not visually overpower the nebulosity. If I remember correctly Pixinsight counted about 60000 stars while plate solving the mosaic.

      Yes, although the answer is a little more complicated. Technically they are all points of light and should be a pixel wide each as their angular resolution is too small to fill more than a single pixel. However due to the nature of light, and the different brightnesses of each star, they look differently sized. Thus how "big" they look in a photo not used for scientific purposes is up to the person processing the data. For nebulae it helps to keep them "smaller" as they otherwise tend to overwhelm the subject.
