    Excellent work.
When reinstalling the front-element, if the three retaining- screws are alligned 120-degrees apart, is the orientation unique?
It appears that you rotated the element for proper alignment.
With the screws 120-degrees apart, three separate orientations are possible.
I ask because I will be cleaning an EF 135 f/2 L lens.
Thanks so much for the video. I hope to hear from you.
    Cheers,
    Mike

This skill is definitely useful. I had a clear lens filter on the front of my RF 24-70mm that burst into tiny glass fragments. Despite the sealing on the lens, some of those fragments managed to get behind the front element of the lens. After some RUclips tutorials and a purchase of IFIXIT precision screwdrivers from Best Buy I was able to take the front element off and get the broken glass out of it the same day.

Did you put adhesive on the ring when you put it back on?

Not necessary as the original adhesive can be reused

Lo.. sorry never seen anyone use heat gun to take that off then so use that blade. Then leaves out the fact you need to MARK where the screws go?
