Thanks for the video. It worked well to fill the hole, but the radial lines of the star crack are still visible, even after repeat applications of the last step with the clear sheet. But I suppose it will keep the crack from spreading which was my main goal. I did not expect a $13 product to make the crack completely invisible. I noticed your final results still had the lines too.
I've done this 4 times now and I can get the radial lines to disappear by moving the applicator head right over the individual lines and applying more of the liquid. I also found that doing this in the hot sun or using a hair dryer helps the capillary action of the liquid. Thanks for your comment.
Okay I went to three different glass shops One will call me back, Two said they could not do it because it was double pane? three wanted $190.00! So I got this kit and did it myself. But I over tightened it, and it broke one leg off the sucked cup.
Oh man, that stinks. I don't think this kit will work for double pane class.
I tried it…my windshield crack extend more…!!! I think once we put the fluid don’t screw all the way down,may be tat made my crack bigger…so my personal opinion better go to professionals or shops …anyhow thanks for the video…
Sorry it didn't work for you. I should have mentioned in the video that it's a gentle screwing of the applicator to push the fluid in slowly.
That crappy Rain-X product made my windshield crack larger. I should have stuck with the other brand
Hello, I've used this kit multiple times with great results. Did you have a bullseye chip or a long crack?
won't work. glue running, curing messy. waste your money on RainX. i got Permatex Windshield Repair Kit from auto part store. better
I've used the Rain-X kit multiple times with no issues. Maybe it's your technique.
