I think a good follow up would be a video on how to build to your terrain. like building on some of the desert plateaus and curving your walls and builds to match the curves of the plateaus. Especially for walled cities.
That would be a very good follow up topic. A bit more difficult than building on uneven ground I'd say, but there's stuff to be learned here that would help out for building with the terrain
First off, thank you so much. This is something I have struggled with for so long. After watching so many build videos, I don't know why I have never thought about this. Do you have a video for that leveling build you showed here? The Yamatai and Nemedian flow so well. I loved to see the video with the rest of its decorations. Great job, and thanks again 👍
Thanks Jacque, glad you enjoyed it so much! I don't have a video with that build, truth be told I wasn't super happy with it, so I'd probably do it a little different next time. There are a few builds that are a good example of levelling though Shimco Castle: ruclips.net/video/ETaxK_iyg10/видео.html Raven Castle (Light levelling & elevation): ruclips.net/video/xB_gkTHQ0RY/видео.html Mountain Castle (Kinda both): ruclips.net/video/XizU18pn7F0/видео.html Inexian Seafort: ruclips.net/video/20o93Ab3BCQ/видео.html To be honest there are probably many more that I can't quite lay my hands on at the moment. Nemedian & Yamatai is a very nice combo I've used a few times, though I'm trying desperately not to keep falling into the same rut of mostly using arena or nemedian lmao
thank you building on uneven ground has been the bane of my building. I wish we could just can change the terrain some what like the Sims or PSO2NG Creative Mode.
Nice Video! Thank you for the explainations, very appreciated. A question: Why use pillars and ceilings instead of simply use Foundations? I use Foundations all the time, am i doing something wrong? 🤔
Glad you enjoyed it! Foundations aren't "wrong" per-say, but they're far and away the least flexible option. I actually have an entire video about pillars and ceilings! ruclips.net/video/JywqMQOR_Kw/видео.html
Before i even watch the video, gona have to say thanks for it I always go out looking for a cool spot to build a new base but all i see is lots and lots of uneven ground everywher which gets me stressed and i eventually give up on building a new base.
Hopefully this helps you all build on troublesome terrain!

Thanks Hero, glad you enjoyed it!

It's so obvious...but I never really considered the leveling technique except for stairs.
Nor did I for a good while 😂 There's been plenty of times I've used a technique I use for one thing and it works perfectly on another
Thanks again@Eradicati0n..I will try to employ the levelling method in my next build. I appreciate the inspiration :)
Happy Birthday Rad!!!
Thanks ill! One step closer to officially being old😩

Glad you found it helpful! It's a constant thorn, though learning to work with it does help out a tonne
Hey mate, love your videos been following you for a while. I was wondering could you maybe show a build for a pict settlement?
Nice Video!

Such cool builds just thrown in casually as examples..😭
Before i even watch the video, gona have to say thanks for it

Me too. There isn't a lot of flat ground that isn't desert that isn't taken up by NPC stuff.
Uneven ground = chance to build basement. ❤
Big truth, we love a good basement
Bro I love your designs! But how can we have a balance between pretty and secure?
I always build on 30 to 45 degree and even shear changes in elevation. Only way to get the most dramatic construction.
How would you use these techniques on an open court yard with a fence around it
Thank You for the info, this will be really helpful in builds later :D
Thanks Pupper, glad you enjoyed!
90% of the server I'm on need to watch this. Massive boxes hanging off the edges of cliffs everywhere.
0 creativity.
😂😂😂😂
Yeah I remember that well from my Ark Official PvP days 😂 Can't really blame them though, the meta is meta for a reason: it works
Are you using any dlc on this one
All the example builds do using varying DLC pieces, however the core concept of building on uneven ground can be achieved with any material set
@Eradicati0nn do we know when chapter 3 age of sorcery be coming out, like we know it's 14th December. But what time.
@@SamuelGreenRoad2Recovery I'm not too sure what time, I think it's usually around midday to early afternoon in UK
@@Eradicati0nn thanks
@@Eradicati0nn that's going to be the next day for me.
