    You're doing fantastic, Richard. Get through your 90 day probation period. Since you're past the 60-day period, opt on vacant routes for the hold down on those routes. Keep up the good work and try to attend your branch's monthly union meeting.

    Great videos so far. I have an interview coming up and watching your videos are helping me get ready for what I’m getting myself into. I know this is a good job and I know it’s going to be really hard but I love hard work. You should make an update video about how your first holiday season went. Of course we’d have to wait till January but that would be a good video to talk about.

    Man this is Awesome! I was thinking of you today wondering how you were doing as I've been following your saga since the beginning. There was another CCA opening in my location and this time I was offered the position. Hopefully I'll start soon. Is there any chance for you to do a video about the best way to "casing the mail" for newbies =) . Thanks in advance!

    • @blue99saturn
      @blue99saturn 6 лет назад +2

      You may not be casing the mail when you first start, but you'll learn how to case mail at the academy and during your 3-day on the job training at your office. Good luck, Rick.

      @@blue99saturn Thank you sir you are very kind and it makes perfect sense now (you being a driver safety instructor) I must say what an asset to the postal service you are. I'm located in central Virginia. I couldn't help to watch a couple of your videos where some new CCA's are driving. May I ask, are they taking the driving test there or are they actually delivering a route? Thanks again!

    • @blue99saturn
      @blue99saturn 6 лет назад +3

      Those carriers are driving the route. They are on their 3-day "on the job" training with me. I go to their office and teach them on the routes they will be working. Sometimes, they'll come for more training to my office, if needed. Thanks for viewing my videos and good luck with your training.

    Been a CCA for a year now , it’s the hardest job I’ve ever had but just keep your head down stay under the radar the best you can and give it your all , as of right now I’m going on 13 days straight it’s rough . Supervisors will be rough on you in the beginning you just gotta brush it off , I went from not even able to hold the mail on a walking route to mesmerizing every route , if anyone has questions ask me ! Btw the training and academy is a waste of time doesn’t teach you anything haha

    Hey Richard, I like watching your videos, you provided some great information and experiences of the Post Office Job. I did my exam for Post Office 2 weeks ago passed with 82. Last week September 26 the USPS sent me an email about motor vehicle record search and additional criminal background checks. I noticed one of my applications says Pre-Hire. So I hope an email for the interview will come up soon. Process is long but I am enjoying it and hope to one day work for the Post Office. BTW the position I am seeking is CCA.

    God bless you, I just left my CCA position recently and for you to say 630 is way different then the office I was at they were pushing 6 PM. And my day started at usually 930. So that kind of day was crazy, I wasn't even able to take breaks so it's not carrying that people think. I liked the job but not worth the stress on my life since I do have other responsibilities.

    Finally I got an interview date on December 6 with a post office that is 1 hour away from where I live. I have a question what should I expect at the interview? I believe it’s group session and then a private interview. Thanks!!!
