    Whatever you takeoff qty for wall area comes end in Linear meter actually.. Only unit varies... Please explain

    Hi Mr. Saady
    It is possible to show the label with 2 options (linear meter and square meter)
    And also in estimation sheet so we use in multiple puropose like skirting, paint and plaster

      1) Area and Linear can be shown in one label. Check the very first few videos on YT. You'll get the answer.
      2)
      Linear can be shown in estimating tab by adding a column *Linear Total*.

    Hello, how can a vertical linear item be configured in the advance properties (or if there is another way) so it can be in either a Template or an assembly? I'm specifically looking for Plumbing Risers. Thank you in advance.

    thank you for this wonderful video. i followed the same steps but still area is not getting displayed on the left hand side. the unit is sqft but its linear quantity measurement is given. pls give me resolution.

    if you are taking wall length, wall width and wall height, wont the result be in cubic meter instead of sq. meter?

      Wall Width is just for appearance. It is not multiplying with Takeoff.

    I think that's a wrong formula in first place, you see both linear measurement & area calculated later are almost same, even after you had 88m of linear length, area should be (88*.2=17.6) in first place , even after you adjusted the width the linear length changed to 18.8m so area should have been (18.8*.2=3.76 sqm) which isnt in this case, You didn't change the formula in QTY tab which in this case should have been [Takeoff]*[Width], because we already have linear measurment & only need width of the wall and in case of vertical area Width/thickness can be taken as Hight because in both cases we already have breadth of the wall

    plan swift always shows one result at one time, how can we gain two results at the same time like wall area for billing and wall volume for material estimation

    Sir please Tell Me
    In this tutorial sir you have not multiplied the takeoff with wall height
    Estimating=Takeoff*Wall height
    but you have just done this as
    Estimating=Takeoff
    Sir please check it i am confuse in this point

      @@SaadyChohan Iam using old plans swift software. Due to this I think iam not getting results. I literally done same procedure several times. But got only linear meter takeoff

      At 5:16 I forgot to Multiple by Height that's why the result is incorrect.
      Correct Formula: Qty = [Takeoff] * [Height]
      Let me know if it works.

      There are different ways but for all of them, you have to prepare a calculation formula.
      1) Create a formula in an Excel sheet
      2) Create a formula in the PlanSwift.
