It’s always been a one time fee plus an optional “maintenance fee” which basically covers upgrades to the software. I don’t even use the latest version. They have barely changed anything for the last 10 years.
Thanks for your response , I might have to try the programme and possibly switch from blue beam. Looks way easier to use. I don’t like how slow it is to create layers and label everything in blue beam
@samhenderson9975 I used to use Bluebeam for my takeoffs many years ago but switched to Planswift. I has a great search feature and you can turn on and off the layers.

Hey Anthony. I have a model called “Bid Machine Mastery” where I teach you our exact process on how to estimate. It’s perfect for owners and employees of the company.

Nah it won’t. If projects and plans were standardized, then yeah it would be super easy to do this. But there are always conflicts and issues and we are years away from this happening. There are some they claim to help you with AI but all they do is trace walls that it recognizes, but it really doesn’t understand the construction elements to make, real life decisions.

@@KyleH-1990 Hello, I prefer using MeasureSquare for building material takeoff because it offers better features than Bluebeam Revu and PlanSwift. In MeasureSquare, it's easy to calculate the direction of seams for carpet and wall tile, floor tile patterns, wall tile patterns, and material wastage. We can also find out the exact material quantities in MeasureSquare. PlanSwift is also a good software for takeoff and counting, allowing for easy addendums and overlaying drawings to be checked.
Thanks for that info. Xactimate isn’t really designed for commercial construction. It’s more for insurances claims. Are you using Xactimate for your estimates?
@@iambuilders I do water damage sales and just using Xactimate as an example of expensive software.I will need help in the near future to bid on commercial demo jobs
I’ve actually never heard of them. I’m going to look into them. At the end of the day all the estimating programs do the same thing so it doesn’t really matter which one you pick. What matters is is that whoever is doing the estimating knows what they are doing and doesn’t miss things. It also matters that you have the pricing since the pricing changes all the time.
To be honest, I don’t really like all those automations. The AI’s and object identifiers don’t even work that well in most software they’re at best 50%. But again if it works well for you then all the software do basically the same thing. I only use Planswift for the search functionality and the layers.
It has object recognistion , i use plainwift 11 ! @lso it has area fill Before u comment , make sure you have that knowledge about this spftware Anyways thankyou have a good day
Thanks for the review, can you confirm that this a one time purchase ?

Will we need to send you a set of plans for you to tell us the cost of your estimating? I'm a general contractor. Thank you
Awesome Jorge. Send them to info@iambuilders.com
Actually need some info. I’m actually a Subcontractor loosing a lot of work because I don’t have time to estimate.

I haven’t but typically you see that on very large projects. Most projects are estimated using digital takeoff software and pricing software.
