PART 2 of our Spare Shooting System that WORKS. We tackle the most common multi-pin spares in this video. Check out Part 1 -- • Spare Shooting System ...
Dasha works with a lot of players who don't have an effective spare shooting system. Spares are cruuuucial, especially as you progress to bowling more tournament with more elite players. One spare could be the difference between making the cut and missing the cut.

I feel for you, Dasha. I've had severe pain from my fingertips to my shoulder from a bad drilling for over a week. I've still struggled with the same type of pain for months (another bad drilling). I finally got a deep tissue massage today out of desperation to relieve some pain. Wow! It really helped a lot! I wish I had done this sooner. I wasn't sure that I would be able to play in league tomorrow night. But, if it stays like this, I should be fine. Until I can find a PSO that does decent drilling, I'm stuck in this spiral. Hopefully, the guy I'm meeting with on Wednesday does a far better job. Get well soon! And another great video, Valerie!
Thanks so much @GrumpaBaggins! and I really hope your next drilling is the one that works the best 🙏 sometimes these things take time to get right. That's great that the massage helped!
@bowlwithVALue Update: I did meet with a new PSO, and the new drilling is far superior to any that I have had. It feels like a dozen ruined balls to find the right one, but it is worth it to be pain-free. I am also far more consistent with my new ball, even after going up to 14 lb from the 12 lb ones I've been throwing. It's brought the excitement of bowling back again. The new PSO put me back into the suitcase release from years ago. I can get far more hook now and no pain. 😁
Hallelujah! So glad to hear it. That suitcase release is actually what helped me get more "behind" the ball and spin it less. It's amazing how much more it hooks that way. And no pain🙌
3-6-10 "new" method is awesome! I chop that spare all the time. I can't wait to try this.
Same, haha. How has it been???
Really great info, can't wait for part 3.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the comment!
Just wanna comment to support. 🤗 Keep the vids coming!
Thank you so much!!
Val and Dasha two excellent bowlers. Both ladies are very talented so we need to support our sisters!!!
Watch 👀 the video, like 👍 the video, leave a comment 😅 and subscribe 😉
Thanks so much!! 🤩🥰
I use the "hope for the best" system for all my spares.
haha 😅 if it works, it works!
I would really like to see the Spy compared to the Axe. As a spare ball and strike ball
Thank you for the comment! I wish I could give this one to you....I can't get ahold of the Spy, unfortunately :( and with my rev rate, I was told by the guys at Brunswick that the 2 bowling balls would look identical.
@@bowlwithVALue Thank you! That's the info that I was looking for
🙌
DASHA!!!!! I just picked a Radical The Spy for my spares. I hope it works out.
I bet it'll be great!
Love this! thank you, some were the same for me, some were different like the 2 4 5, Going to try it next practice.
can't wait to hear about it! did you try Dasha's way or mine?
@@bowlwithVALue I've tried bits of both of you. Our pattern changed this week and now its flat from 8 to the gutter, and I'm suddenly missing the 3,6,10. It's just sailing off and not coming back, so I'm going to try your way of moving it right and throwing it up 10. Normally I stand on 29 and its not working. I've tried Dasha and both your way of the 2 8, and 3 boards right worked pretty well! Love this vid, saving it for reference. Thanks again.
Sounds good! I am loving throwing at the 3-6-10 straight up the right side! Hopefully it works better for you on the new pattern you're bowling on.
Sounds like you and Dasha are using a 3-6-9 type of system for spare shooting? I recently switched to 3-6-9 to get away from the plastic ball increasing carry down. Still working on it, but it’s okay for me on a house shot.
Similar for sure. I would use the 3-6-9 strategy if I were bowling on a house shot and didn't have my plastic ball. Oftentimes I won't shoot a 3-6-10 with my plastic if I'm bowling on a house shot. Could have mentioned that! We will for sure mention it when we do Part 3!
