1977 manufactured Ford 7700 tractor , Dual Power foot lever works but the travel to operate it is about 1 inch, not quite the distance shown in the manual .
it is as it should be. you press low and it goes low, you press high and it goes high. I have exactly the same tractor that has run 20,000 hours and it just keeps going. fantastic tractor
I’m not sure about yours but the 7700 and the 9600 I farmed with the dual power pedal locked in to position both high and low range and it had the same orientation as yours
Thanks for the comment, does it slip in all 8 gears in high ? When in high is the foot pedal level like the pic in the manual or is it at an angle in hi like mine is ?
Thanks for taking the time to make this and share. I have the same tractor and the pedal is in the same potion/angle. Quick question, if I may. I loaned mine to my neighbor to load some hay bales. Since then I'm having issues with the power steering, it seems to stop working and steering is very hard. I added some repair fluid to the pump and it doesn't seem to leak anywhere. Any idea? I have the tractor on blocks to change the front tires and the wheels turn left and right easily. My next step is to pur a pressure gauge to see if I can read the pressure on the cylinder. Any other ideas before I switch the pump?
Thanks for watching . I’m not sure what to tell you, seems like it’s the pump , or is it low front tire pressure ? Also what Freon does yours use ? And how many cans to fill it ?
georgiabigfoot Thanks. I don’t know about the freon. My AC works since I bought it and have not looked into it yet. I will let you know if I find out. I’m in the process of restoring it. Previous owner didn’t take care of it as it should have.
Well considering I’m trying to dodge low hanging pecan tree limbs when we are running our nut hustlers why would I want to raise the height of my tractor ?

Mine works as in the picture.
Lovely tractor. I live the 7700
You "live" it??? Spell check Yank.
@@johnscrimgeour4888 love. Yeah right buddy.
Em... are there Irish yanks??😁
Linkage is just out of adjustment. It should lock in low but can't because of the linkage
FORD IS GOLD 💪👌❤️ SIMPLY THE BEST 💪👍👌
Thanks for sharing. Hope you’re well. My best to you & yours.
Thanks George, do you have a tractor like this ? I got the virus a month ago, it was a terrifying ordeal. I hope you are staying safe .

Another thing to check on the 7700 is whether the previous owners cranked up the injector pump screw to boost hp.
Putting a front loader on that tractor should carry a prison sentence.
You must be rich

Maybe replace the wood screw with a proper size bolt and nylok nut to eliminate some of the overtravel each way.
From the picture you are showing it is in low, push the pedal the other way & that is high, I have the same 7700 for the last 26 yrs
Your pedal is out of adjustment, same as the ford 9700. Where do you live as I'm very familiar with dual power transmissions, rebuilt many of them.
Just bought an 8600 that I will be fixing the dual power once it warms up. It slips in high.

@@georgiabigfoot It slips in the full high range. It's 2 separate buttons on the floor instead of the pedal. It's not momentary.

Replace the cab mount rubbers, the cab has sank down.
