Agreed! If you want to do something, you cant always wait for others. I am planning a trip to CR. (which is how I found your video) Trying to get friends to come with me is proving to be difficult with matching everyone's schedules. Might have to go solo like you! Thanks for the inspiration
My pleasure! I know that feeling of trying to schedule a trip with friends. It almost never happened. But its ok because you can always make friends out there!
I agree I have the same issue. Ironically that’s how I came to see this video. A friend of mine wants to go to Hawaii… but I want to go to Costa Ricaaaaaa. You like you are a lot of fun to be around. So glad you enjoyed your stay.
Pura Vida. Great video and CR info. I already been once and solo tripped as well. I still watch videos to find more great places as I loved CR so much and will definitely be back. Shooting for this year. LOL when you mentioned yoga. "farts in class" LMAO seriously never thought of that and yoga. I'll never try yoga and more now that I'll be thinking of the possible fart in class. 🤣
Hello, I would love to visit! This really encouraged me to get out of my comfort zone. 💜 I’m genuinely curious on how much you spent all together on this trip?
A great video and content!!!! I solo traveled to Costa Rica in February (San Jose -> La Fortuna -> Monteverde -> Tamarindo) - had a blast. Wanna do it again end of November (Manuel Antonio -> Jaco -> Santa Teresa) and maybe Puerto Viejo. Wonder if Santa Teresa is worth visiting?!!
Natasha ~ really enjoyed your CR video. Making our 12th CR trip soon. We LOVE CR! Please tell me the name of that amazing spa and where it is located. Thank you!
Loved this video, it looked so fun! I am going to CR by myself in July but I’d be staying 4.5 weeks… i am feeling super nervous about the costs though as I am seeing more and more that it is expensive (esp when you travel solo!) debating on whether I should just do 2 wks there and 2 wks in Guatemala to balance. How long did you stay and did you feel like prices were quite high? Thank you ❤ will check out your other videos 😊
I definitely didn’t find CR to be a cheap travel destination! So yes, I do think I would’ve spent a lot if I stayed for a month or longer. I’m sure there’s always a way to cut costs like staying in hostels, etc.
what is a good trip length would you say? I’d love to go somewhere for like a month but I’m thinking maybe around 2 weeks to start with my bf? I’ve never gone on a trip longer than a week before
I did a 30 day solo backpacking trip in Costa Rica and not knowing any Spanish made the trip beautifully challenging. ruclips.net/video/JiGKeExyN9w/видео.html
This vid is so helpful as I plan my solo trip to CR! It’s adding to my courage to just do it! Two questions - what type of tripod did your use? And when you switched hotels - checkout at 11 / next 3p check out. How did you fill that time?
Thank you! My gimbal came with a small tripod that I use a lot. Otherwise I did buy a basic tripod that came with a selfie remote. I only used it once. Also, I always drop off my luggage early at the hotel if my room isn’t ready and I can’t check in. I then just go hang at the beach!
Hey there what was the flight process for this? I need to be in cahuita but I want to Experience Tamanarindo for a weekend. As in you flew into San Jose and what was the nexts flight you have to get on and didn’t you had to book on a different site specifically for the Tamarindo location?
I traveled in June/July. I was told by locals that October is their heavy rainy season and everywhere is flooded so it is strongly recommended not to visit during that time.
Hi! Thanks for the video, sooo helpful! Im thinking of doing a solo CR trip this summer!! Do u mind sharing how u went about booking the mini plane (after San Jose), the personal drivers, and the different hotels? Thanks sm🥰
I did a 30 day solo backpacking trip in Costa Rica and did city buses as well as private buses/vans. I also stayed in some beautiful hostels bruclips.net/video/JiGKeExyN9w/видео.html
My pleasure! I booked directly with Sansa Airlines online for the mini plane ride. I think I just googled private drivers in Tamarindo and I emailed a few different options. Morpho Vans was the quickest and most professional in my opinion. They did not disappoint me at all. The hotels take me awhile to book because I look at every option on every site possible and I compare hotels vs airbnb's. I probably use Airbnb and Tripadvisor the most for my accommodations. =)
I definitely spent more than I needed to. The flight was cheap but everything else, not so much besides a few places to eat. Hiring a private driver was probably the most expensive thing I budgeted for but I could’ve rented a car for half the price. The first hotel I stayed at was also half the cost of the second hotel I stayed at. All in all, Costa Rica wasn’t too expensive and you can definitely enjoy it for way less than what I spent 😊
@@NatashaWitt - I’ve never been out of the country before, can you explain the currency, did you use US dollars? If you used different currency did you have to go to the bank?
@@mariaguadamuz1543 they do accept US dollars in Costa Rica. I did however exchange for the local currency with my bank before I went out there. I also have a travel credit card that doesn't charge me foreign transaction fees so I'm able to use that too.
I want to go to Costa Rica by myself too, but I'm definitely afraid. I don't want to get kidnapped and end up in sex trafficking. Yes, that is an actual fear.
I’m planning my solo trip and your video was sooo helpful!!!! You are so cute, and FIREEEEE. This content was everything and seriously so helpful. What company did you fly the small jet from SJC to Tamarindo? Where was the Indonesian soaking tub? That was bomb. Loved this so much!!
THANK YOU!!! 😊 You made my day with that comment! I bought my flight ticket from SJO to Tamarindo with Sansa. And the Indonesian soaking tub was at the spa at Los Altos de Eros (LADE)

Stop caring what other people think. Just be you and do you ❤ beautiful video
Nice video. I travel all the time by myself so I get your point. Life is about new experiences.
Loved this video ! I was having a hard time deciding what towns to visit on my trip and now I know where to go 🙂

I really don’t remember but I would guess around $3k
Thanks for share! I traveled solo too to CR!

Hey! Maybe I missed it. Had you uploaded the video about the foods you ate while you were there?
When did you travel? I booked my trip in mid August, I am nervous about the weather, what do you think about the weather in mid August?
I went the end of June/beginning of July. It’ll probably be a little more rainy but I was told September/October is when it’s really bad.
Loved this video. Thank you!
Can I ask how did you charter a plain to Tamarindo?
I just bought an airline ticket with Sansa Airlines directly from their website 😊
@@NatashaWitt perfect! I was curious. Thank you. 🙏🏾

That’s amazing! I can’t wait to go back! The spa was at the hotel Los Altos de Eros near Tamarindo. I think it was about 20 minute drive from there. 😊
how much did your airbnb cost a night
I believe the Zen airbnb was $124 per night
@@NatashaWitt not bad because that was a beautiful one glad you had fun!!
Awesome and informative video! how much did the spa day cost ?
Thank you! The spa day was $275 plus tax. Tip also wasn’t included.

For your video clips in the water did you use a go pro? I'm a completely noob traveler so want to be able to do something like this one day soon.

Los Altos de Eros 😊
Did you do Uber for airport transfer? I’m so lost on how to get to my place of staying if I book a trip
No, I don’t believe Uber was available there. I had to quickly google a local taxi number and they came to pick me up
Please mention towns and hotels and cost would great. Nicely done
Thanks for your video ! Is it expensive to take a taxi to travel around CR ?
I can't remember the exact price but I did use some online Costa Rica taxi calculator to get a ballpark figure and it was pretty expensive!
