Just found your channel, so fab to hear a familiar accent,(I was born and bred in Ryhope), know live on borders of the lakes and dales and just starting my veg garden at home. Its a lot to learn. In answer to your salads I'm growing lambs lettuce and rocket. I'm going to try to grow okra (a veg i loved eating when I lived over seas) I have a question do you manage to grow sweet corn? I'm trying it. Lets hope spring keeps springing.
Hi Tony hope am not to late for the seed comp . Been looking at your video for months now love your video you give some good tips . Keep on doing your video they are good John from Scotland
Hello Tony, I've just sown some Brads Atomic grape seeds in a cold frame inside the greenhouse after seeing you grow those tomato plants last year. Hope I'm as successful as they look like an interesting variety.
Yaaay, time to get gardening!!! It's funny that your 'seed' boxes are such a thing for gardeners now, they have been available at all our US craft stores for years for crafts storage...that's how I use them and they are fab!!
thanks for the idea Tony about pea shoots when i get back from Exeter later on i'm straight to the local co op to see if i can get a few mushroom trays to sow into ,up the black cats
Great video as usual tony... i have been watching you for about a year now and have just got my first plot today so i hope i get the 10 years good growing luck that you promise hehehe
Hello from Ontario Canada. Tony may I ask what a grafted aubergine is in more detail? I’m a newbie as I’ve commented before on your channel. Thanx hugs for Daisy a fellow Doberman owner, lol ours is called Poppy! Blessings 🐝
Always need more seed trays since I am a beginner. I think the tall ones are best but as long as the roots have room they will be great. Understand if can't send to US
Hi Tony. Aubergines is a newby for me this year. Didn’t realise we could start them off so soon. I’ve recently got a heat mat and some grow lights so if the time is right may try popping some seeds in this weekend. Unfortunately my plastic type greenhouse has no heating in and not a lot of room indoors..do you think it’s still ok to plant some. As for the seed boxes..their brilliant received one 1/2 your size for Christmas. My raised beds are only small..though hubby made me another late last year.. so I’ve 7 now 🤗. But there is only 2 of us so along with tubs etc..should be enough. But loving the veg growing.
Aubergines are like tomatoes and peppers, they need the heat so would ideally need to be kept inside until it warms up. Aubergines are so slow, mines been in about 6 weeks and still tiny
Too much choice!! I have so little space and no compost so I've not even started to plant things yet! The garlic and onions were overwintered but are only starting to produce shoots. 1 garlic bulb was found sprouting under a bench so put it in a pot kept in the outhouse until Monday. Hope its hardened off OK!
Hi Tony, Wasabi Rocket from ‘Just Seed’ is one of my favourites. Great in a mixed salad, also in a mushroom omelette and fish finger sarnies have never tasted so good!
I dont mean to be off topic but does any of you know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account..? I somehow lost my login password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me
@Nelson Bodie I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
In ayrshire and its about time for me to start. I have built my greenhouse and put something on back to front so have to remove glass and fix it so I can put the vent panel on 😭
I would imagine that the postage to the US for the seed trays wouldn't be cheap either Tony, judging by the price of the postage on the birthday cards I got from family, plus they stopped sending Christmas cards because of that reason.. family aye, tight buggers LOL

2B pencil is best on labels. Dark for legibility, lasts as long as you want but can be scrubbed off with an abrasive cleaner. Hob cleaner my favorite.
Being physically disabled these would be awesome to use!
Thank you Tony for teaching us all how to garden :)
With you being North East England would you say you're more in line with East Scotland plantings or would you say we're still a week or 2 behind you??
Tony. "A little bit nippy today!" Master of the understatement.
Positively Baltic in Wallsend man.
Still a good day in the garden.
