    I am Brazilian craftsman, I make sculptures with iron, recycled metals and scrap metal, here where I live and very difficult to take bread home, inside I know that I am a blessed person, unemployment caught me in 2013, My mother had an avc after From this date my life began to be different, the depression began to embrace me, the only thing that sustained my sanity, was one day to be a craftsman, I ask for an opportunity to show my art, my name is Deivid Henrique moro in Cordisburgo-MG .

    Excellent video. Question: after you finished the piece how did you clean rust, oils, etc.? Also, did you spray clear coat? Very creative!! Keep them coming!!

    • @MakeItMetal
      @MakeItMetal  7 лет назад

      hi Steve, i use a acetone solution, then clear coat. as a rule i use the acetone before i weld, saves all the hassle.

      You saved hassle in this video 😳 then why all the grinding. The grinder should never turn back on after you start tig welding. No joke, tacking those chain links should have taken maybe 35 seconds never lifting your lid once and adjusting slightly, maybe twice

    hi:) can you inform me about your welder and other stuff? what kind of welding are you doing in that video? what is your welder machine?

    • @MakeItMetal
      @MakeItMetal  5 лет назад

      Hi..in this video I either use an R-tech Tig welder or a migatronic flex 330 mig welder. Both are quite old now but very reliable units. Hope this helps. Jason

    I've ...messed around welding some scrap chain like that. Except I used a stick welder, which can be very trying, lol. Great build!

      it's an R-Tech tig 251 ac/dc..one of the better chinese manufactured brands. not sure of the price but i know there is a similar one on ebay at £1900..mine is a water cooled unit so i guess mines worth more?

    Brill again . I'm amazed with the lack of use of filler rod . What amps are you using for the chain to tack them ???. Tried this myself after seeing your other videos and fook it's hard . Keep the projects coming

    • @MakeItMetal
      @MakeItMetal  6 лет назад +1

      thanks bbe. typically i set the tig to 60 amps for chain and use a foot pedal. most of the tacks were probably done at around full pedal (60amps)
