More new surprises - more drama to make move the paintbrush of the mind's eye and bring forth scenes to halt the breath and make pump faster the blood! Again, you are to be thanked for this great task!

For a very low-fi recording of The Planets, try this 1926 version conducted by Holst himself.

That's on 78s! Can you try finding it? Any great sounding recording of the planets will do!

Nice gear from a vinyl perspective - table, arm and cart. Destroyed of course by 'tube. Interesting music. Not Brahms of course but thank you so much for sharing.

I like to post music slightly off the beaten track most of the time. The only Brahms you'll find on my channel is this East German recording from Leipzig ruclips.net/video/MYHV0fIx-XU/видео.html

@@ClassicsAndVinylactually I deeply appreciate that you’re not playing “the three Bs + Mozart” that classical radio is unfortunately constrained to playing (I had a discussions with a program director once and he said if he plays anything too “modern” he gets loud complaints…considering it’s listener supported non-profit radio, I get it). You’ve introduced me to some composers and works I’d never heard of before. So thanks.

@@gravityissues5210 Well, I'm not chasing "likes" or subscribers, just posting music I enjoy. I'm happy you've heard some unfamiliar stuff here! It's quite amazing the amount of good music that's out there that just doesn't get heard much.
