  • My Busa is lowered but I wanted to restore the handlebar height using the factory bar mount and without raising the ride height back up. Here's how I got it done (in my living room)

    Thanks for this video. My Heli riser gets delivered tomorrow for my 2022. Did you just use a good allen wrench to work on those 4 mounting bolts? Getting a ratchet or breaker bar in there sure seems like it'd be too tight.

    • @PAULIskander
      @PAULIskander  Год назад +2

      You may need to use a second wrench on the first one as leverage to break them free for the uninstall since they have blue loctite from the factory. However when you reinstall just get them as tight as you can with the wrench without using any extra leverage. You don't need to crank them down and you could possibly crack the handlebar mount. Definitely put some blue loctite on the bolts to hold them tight. Also removing the windshield is the way to go to get enough room when working on the two front bolts. I didn't have to raise the gas tank up to get the rear ones but if you wanted to, that would give you some extra room plus eliminate the risk of accidentally scratching/denting it with a slipped wrench.
      Good luck, be patient, you can do it

    Hey, thanks for the video, very nice.
    Do you have any issues when the bars are in full left or right lock? Do they hit the windshield?

      Nope not at all. Everything is perfect

    Hello Paul
    Could you please share your feedback/review after putting on the HeliBar risers on the Gen 3 Busa?
    How has been your riding experience afterwards?

    • @PAULIskander
      @PAULIskander  Год назад

      Well keep In mind that my bike is still lowered, so essentially the Helibar riser just put me back to stock ride height on the handlebars, maybe a smidge higher

      @@PAULIskander I see. So what's the real purpose of installing the Helibars? Does it provide more stability or what?

    • @PAULIskander
      @PAULIskander  Год назад

      @Deepanshu Chadha They allowed me to lower the bike by raising the forks in the triple tree. The Helibar then takes up all that extra space so that the stock handle bar mount can be reinstalled . If your bike was not lowered, then the helibar would give you about an inch and a quarter rise in your bars

    Just got mine today. Think I'm feeling lazy on this one and might just pay a shop to do it.

  • @Arky187
    @Arky187 Год назад +1

    what are you using to lower the front end?

    • @PAULIskander
      @PAULIskander  Год назад

      The triple tree is lowered and I had a ALIF bar mount installed that allows the fork tubes to pass through so you can set any ride height you want. I ended up putting the factory bars back on so I'm selling the ALIF kit if you are interested. Everything you need is in the box except the wrenches

      It's more of a forward lean but nothing like an R1 or Gixxer. Quite a roomy bike, sport touring I would say. I'm 64, 6' 225 and I love riding itThe riser was a great addition.
      Incidentally, Mine is for sale. LMK if interested

      @PAULIskander  10 месяцев назад

      @mad151maxx4 I'm 64, 6' and 225 and the bike fits great. The busa is a big bike but I have no issues with the 4" stretch or the lowering. Unless you want 600cc sport bike handling, go for it
