i love how ryan very visibly is vevry careful about the wording when it comes to liv and maddie bc he wants to make sure no one takes anything he says out of context in a bad way haha, like we get what he's saying, it''s so funny to see him be very deliberate with wording

@@Missmagazinebura yeah that too, but he's not on disney shows and stuff, and liv and maddie has been off for a while. what i meant was more like, liv and maddie matters to a lot of people and he clearly knows that, so i can see him speak carefully as to not say anything bad about it (well i don't think he would say anything bad) but you know it's just a job he did and itrepresents a period of his life that is long gone and maybe has some bad memories, so i can see him carefully toe the line of being honest (ie talking about all the ppl he worked with and how good it was for him to learn and stff) and being nice about it rather than negative. and i get why as well.

Sams dimples are so cute, they're just so her and radiate her bubbly personality i love them.

You're so right bout Diggie, he's both the least interesting character in the entire show and also incredibly manipulative towards Maddie and I hate him with a burning passion. I would love to hear more of your thoughts on the characrer, specifically what you would've liked to have seen instead.
I liked him until he came back from study abroad.
He was originally nice to her and always liked how he could tell liv and maddie apart even when they switch places. He was nice to her family. Not my favorite character, but did not hate him yet.
But as soon as he came back from his world travels, he became very hypocritical and selfish and mean to maddie. I get long distance relationships and evolving changes people, but he became worse.
And he broke up maddie and josh. You should have chose josh.
No offense Ryan. Oh wait, he hates diggie too so I take that back.
@@gabrielleduplessis7388 I loved Mosh (Maddie and Josh)! It was heartbreaking when he broke the two up; you could tell how happy they were together.
@@daiyufairy yeah. I get they were close to long distance too, but they were not at that point yet. And i always support love interests who help bring a smile to the sad person’s face and respect their boundaries first before getting together and josh was that.

so this is a personal opinion, but I hate it when there is problems like when he had to go to Australia and “Tundrabainia” we could’ve seen way more in the show but it wasn’t interesting without him during those times but I love how disney gave him time to be in the show and overall if there was no Diggie I wouldn’t have watched the show, great job to ryan!

I thank you for being in that show because liv and maddie was and is my childhood and if you aren't in that show I would be here in your channel and much more
I have what I affectionately have coined "danger vibe alarms" that go off in my head when I meet someone. My body just senses the danger and alarms go insane. So like when Diggy first shows up, my head was basically like screaming at me "Nope uh uh ain't it sister. GET OUT." And after that breakup scene where she throws the basketball at the rack of other basketballs, I knew he was trouble. (Not even gonna lie, this is the smoothest Taylor Swift reference I've ever made.)
The funny part is that I had this same sensation with movie JD but not musical JD. I honestly felt somewhat "safe" around Ryan's JD...until Our Love is God. I still get yucky goosebumps every single time JD sings "I worship you. I'd trade my live for yours." Which I take as a good thing. When JD sings that, you're supposed to be like "Ehhh, that's kinda terrifying tbh."
But like anyone who pulls out a mf gun to deal with school bullies right off the bat is to be avoided at all costs. My alarms were going into meltdown mode. It looked like something from inside out in my head.

I loved Liv and Maddie, that’s what kinda built a friendship with another person, and for me, I loved Diggie he was probally 2nd favorite on the show! But I get it, I mean being on Disney comes with the dRaMa of being a Disney star but Diggie was iconic! But I do understand in the sense of drama.. no offense towards you hopefully your not mad at me! Lava your content called to your still a bright and happy soul! ❤

Ryan, was "Diggy being written the way he was" experience being the main reason that you've chosen to mainly pursue a career in Broadway as opposed to TV roles?

English is not my first language, so I can go messy, but I'm coming from the future to say that, as a person who lives with someone whose job is to find loopholes in other people's speech, Ryan could get away pretty easy from the question "Would you rather tell us about the worst celebrity you ever work with or take a mistery shot"
If he answers "tell about the worst celebrity", the answer is done, he just said he prefers one thing over another, never said that he WOULD talk about, is like the erase Liv and Maddie or Heathers, he can answers any of that, but he is not erasing it (much because he can't)
The same if he answers "the mistery shot", he never said he was taking it.
There's no way this question could've been done that would force Ryan to do any of these things in this kind of game lol.
It would have to be a dare stablishing "I dare you to, either TRULY tell us about the worst celebrity you ever work with or take a mystery shot, NOW in front of a RECORDING CAMERA to a video that will be posted AND REMAIN PUBLIC on youtube, NOTHING of this segment will be cut in edition and the video WON'T BE DELETED". Otherwise he has lots of runaways.
I know it's just a game and of course no one is forcing Ryan to anything, is just a funny think I'd like to share.

@@patrickt6845 Hahaha. I used to work as an usher at a theatre that used to house touring Broadway shows. The first run of Wicked that I worked was an almost 3 months run and I worked almost every night/weekend…..you add up all those shifts and you get to see the show A LOT. I basically got paid to watch the audience watch the shows….it wasn’t all fun, we had some awful shifts with comedy shows and theatres sometimes smelling like pot and booze…..but Broadway shows were the best thing ever. But yeah. 75….it’s very VERY ridiculous.

As a new subscriber to this channel, here's hoping that you guys still check your comments even three months after you and everyone else has moved on, as I finally got around to viewing this particular video. I work weird hours, so I hope that you'll indulge me. As an unabashed adult fan of "Liv and Maddie," I must admit that, at first, I was a little taken aback, about your comments about Diggie, but then thinking about it, I have to agree with you. I mean, think about it: Why would a popular high school kid, who's captain of the basketball team, and is dating what possibly could have been the best thing that's ever happened to him at that particular time, drop everything to be an "exchange student" in a frozen tundra?
I loved the show mostly because of the writing and because I loved and cared about the characters, (everyone in the cast was nothing short of brilliant), but I have to ask what the intentions of Beck, Hart, et al., were in the first place. Did they not know what to do with him initially?
Your video brings up a question: If you, Mr. McCartan, had any say so, what would you have done? How would you change the character, if you could?
But, for what it's worth, I still thought you were great in the role, and I don't think anyone else could have performed it as well as you. I still think that even five-and-a-half years after the series' end.
By the way, have you ever thought seriously about writing a book about the experience? If you start writing now, and maybe self-publish, you could release it next year just in time for the show's tenth anniversary. ("Decade-A-Rooney," anyone? No? Anyone? Hello?)🥴
