- Anthony grew up in the Texas foster care system, and already had one failed adoption behind him. Bennie Berry met Anthony when she was his teacher in an alternative school. Their bond evolved quickly, and in November 2017, it became permanent.
Im adopted and i plan to adopt when i finish college
I am not adopted but I see the need to help those who need it. I can’t wait.
I am adopted too. In turn I adopted 7 kids, and maybe adopting another set of twins if approved, our age is now apparently a problem. 2 of my sons have now adopted 2 kids.

I wish I had a home to go to when I was growing up.
I basically raised myself.
Homelessness, Eating out of garbage cans and then found my way to a group home for the rest of my teenage years.
Bio mom didn’t want me nor did my adopted parents.
But I’m still here 49yrs later.

Biology has nothing to do with making a family. It's the unconditional love, protection and provision one offers. THIS IS AWESOME!!! God is good. He brought them full circle. What a great foundation she will offer him. YOU ARE LOVED!!!!!

God has a habit of picking up nobodies and making them somebodies without consulting NOBODY. I am so so pleased that this young man finally found what he's been looking for and this lady is been used by God to be a mother figure to him. I guess he's been praying and asking God to give him a family and his prayers been answered. This story brings tears to my eyes.

He was never a nobody
Jana Sali - in the world he was. As evidenced by his parents , the system and homes that didn’t show him how very special he was. But in God’s eyes he was always somebody and God put him and his forever mom and all the men in the Brotherhood of Jesus Christ in just the right place at the right time to show him what a Somebody he truly is. So many people need Jesus and don t even know it.
I also want to hug the stuffing out of his Forever Momma... Love this...

You got this, compared to the past its nothing and when things get tuff remember God put you here for a reason, he didnt give up so dont you dare on yourself. Awesome video. Love that phrase at the end... "go ahead, shoot your shot". As a current foster parent that is what I'm doing. Loving kids who aren't mine as if they are. Not easy, but so worth it.

I’m a former foster child and fortunately I had one great home and we recently reconnected on FB and keep in touch. My heart goes out to children in the system I’ll never forget seeing all my stuff being put in a trash bag and is being physically pulled away from my family. You feel unwanted and it takes YEARS to process that as a child. Foster kids are often mature for their age. I can’t wait to begin an organization for these kids. It hurts knowing the government does so little to fix the system. Everyone doesn’t end up like Anthony and all of these kids should have the opportunity to be loved instead of disciplined by ppl who don’t care to know them.

I am so happy for Miss Bennie and Anthony. I was a part of a Minority Adoption group when I was in my 30's. We had Minority Adoption Banquets where prospective parents and minority foster children could meet each other. When the kids and prospective parents eyes' met, they knew they were family.
Major shout out Soror for changing this young man's life and giving him a chance at life by adopting him.

This is beautiful, God not only gave him a mom but he also gave him many Dads. He is surrounded by lots of older men to mentor him. God is good, he puts the lonely into families.

I remember one time when I was 5 years old I got lost in a store, couldnt find my parents anywhere, I still remember that was the most terrifying day of my life, I thought only the worst things could happen to me if I didn't find my parents, and I didn't even know how cruel the world ACTUALLY IS(I was so right), so, I can't imagine how strong these kids in foster homes are, I really admire them all, and I wish I could adopt someday
