The Bern World Championships was an incredible 2 weeks of Climbing where the Combined Podium would walk away with the first 3 Olympic tickets for each gender...
It's great to see how you gain your experiences from the highs (and lows) of your comps in such a mindful way and manner. Keep on grinding and hold on to your positive mindset. Your time to qualify will come ;)
Thank you :) learning from mistakes is such a big part of sport, every competition I feel I’m learning something new and it’s great to build on that to become stronger 😈😎
You are a joy to watch climb. It was good to hear your reflections on how you’ll learn from your struggles. Good luck Toby and thanks for your great videos!
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts Toby, it's great to see how you reflect about your experiences, you really set a good example for everybody out there. It's hard to not become a fan after watching videos like this, can't wait to see you in your next comps, cheers
Have been waiting so long for this video 😊 was rooting hard for you and you did great! You're perspective on things is quite amazing! Keep it up, 💪💪💪 best of luck for the nezt comps!!
So much enthusiasm in you Toby that you can achieve anything :) You are rising star on this darkie and wet island, you will put it into light and dry it up a bit, for sure. Did you think to see @WideBoyz in Sheffield? It may burst up your channel... and you can learn from them of course. (They had Ondra over in cellar.) Greetings from Peak District.
Awesome and honest insight into the comp from an athlete's perspective. Even though we've gotten right into watching the world cup, my wife and I aren't climbers except for the occasional trip to the climbing gym. We do do circus aerials though, and we've notice climbers trying to generate momentum for swings differently to how we would on a trapeze. Climbing holds are obviously very different to a trapeze bar but if you want some unsolicited advice, for a bit of fun that might also help with those swings try and find a flying trapeze lesson to go along to.
Toby, having competed on the British team in hang-gliding World and European Championships I completely understand what you mean by feeling overwhelmed. It's great to see videos like yours, which give more insight into the competitions and your openness and honesty over the feelings you go through is really refreshing. You said you 'have areas to improve' and will work on them.. Well I just watched the stream of you climbing in Laval. I guess you did just a little bit of work on those weaknesses ;-). You totally dominated that comp and were a joy to watch. I was cheering when you hit the top of the lead route!! Well done - you're an inspiration. I can't wait to see you in more comps and especially the Olympics!!
Awesome behind the scenes. I was rooting for you. You'll have many more comps ahead of you and hopefully soon you'll punch your ticket to the Olympics. The only advice I'd give is just keep up the good work and have fun. You have the right attitude to win and with more experience I have a feeling you're going to be winning a lot.
So happy your feeling good after the world champs, great to see your keeping positive!! Looking forward to seeing you crush in Laval!!! Well done toby, you are awesome!!!!!
Hey you mentioned coming to Belgium, are you perhaps attending the MOF(Master of Fire) Competition at Camp de Base, and if so which slot are you doing for qualis?
@@TobyClimbing Hoping with you, if you do participate do know you'll have lots of support as I think you're a great inspiration to many young climbers in Belgium.
So excited for your 2024 season already!! Such a beast
Thank you! I can’t wait 😎
Omg we were rooting for you so hard!!! Really proud of how far you've come and you will definitely go further!! ❤
Thanks so much, I’ll keep pushing 🤞🏼😈
I think the biggest thing would be a visit to the Wideboys cellar, to set some T-Grades !

Much as I'd love to see what you can do on rock, try and avoid burnout dude. We've seen so many people get burned out by comps.
🙌🙌💪💪💪🔥🔥🔥💫🤘
Ame la referencia a los juegos del hambre 🤣🩷
Haha such a good film 🤣
Collab with @STORROR on dynos? Please?
Magnus! 7:15
magnus at 7:14

would love to see a vid of some dyno/lache coaching with Louis Parkinson @CatalystClimbing
He is probably still better than Louis tbh but a collab on hard comp boulders would be sick
