- In the last World Cup of Toby's first full IFSC World Cup at Koper in Slovenia, there were 2 significant dynos that had a big impact on Toby's competition.
Learning to execute these moves in high pressure scenarios is a crucial part of competition climbing... - Спорт
With your Competitions, you have already taken us on such a huge journey, it feels almost absurd that this is your first season. You're a big motivation help for hard training.
Thank you 😆 still can’t believe it’s my first season! Can’t wait for more 🔥 and glad to hear you’re out training hard
It was amazing to see the recovery from some of the cruxes on the routes, good effort on the competition. Seeing all the views while you trained convinced me to visit Slovenia some day
Thank you :) yes I highly recommend it, such a nice country 🤩
@@TobyClimbing I'll be taking that recommendation up 😁
Toby thank you for being you, you inspire me so much despite all the ups and downs you manage to work through it and seeing this helps me a lot in my life of working through my problems and achieving my goals. THANK YOU!❤
Wow you almost made me tear up 🤣 thanks for the support 🙏🏼
Thanks for taking us behind the scenes a bit and for sharing your strategies for increasing confidence and commitment! "I messed up badly on that move last time, so I really hope there's another one, to give me a chance to crush it..." That's good stuff!
Thank you!! Haha it’s for sure satisfying when you make progress on something like that. I’ll try bring it into the next comps 😎
was cheering you on thru the livestream, so incredibly happy for you on that dyno!! looked super smooth and decisive, unfortunate about the crux but that dyno was a winner
Thank you, yes I’m happy because i now have confidence in those types of moves. Thank you for the support 😆
solid mindset about being happy to see the jump in finals, great to see
Thank you 😆
let's goooooo toooooby! it is really cool to see also other stuff than training, and see you enjoy all the places and countries! we were rooting for you and were so impressed how you managed that campussection in semis, and then also we were so nervous for the finals dyno but you did it so well and it made us happy!
Exploring the country’s is such a big highlight. I’m hoping the videos show a bit of insight into different places as well as hard climbing 😎 thanks for the support 😇
Your videos are so insightful about what it is to compete at this leven in climbing, real motivation fuel!! Keep it going!! Congrats on these amazing results!!!
Thanks a lot 😎
Always happy when I see a new upload from you toby 🎉
Woooooo 😎 more to come 🎉
Thanks for the video Toby it is a pleasure to watch them and to see you climb in livestreams I always want to cheer for you, keep it up
Thank you for the support, it means a lot 😇
Love the mindset about not seeing the dyno’s in lead routes as rubbish, even after having struggled on a few of them yourself. You’re inspiring brotha! And that fight in the semi’s to get to the headwall was insane 😱
Toby's videos make me so happy 😊 i am really proud of you. Congrats for the amazing video and competition😊
I’m happy you’re enjoying them. Thank you😇
your mentality is so good it seems to barely even matter how you're placing... massive kudos Toby! 💪👌 i'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Thanks a lot 🙏🏼 I appreciate the support 😇
loving seeing you become more comfortable in front of the camera and telling some jokes. keep up the great videos man!
Thank you, glad you’re enjoying the videos 🔥😎
Great comeback on the jump, look forward to seeing your training! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! I’m looking forward to showing it 😆👾
4th is amazing Toby, well done and really interesting to hear about the mental side of things. Come on!
Thank you! I’ll do my best 😎😈
Great videos men, love watching them!
I hope you do another Q&A :)
Really enjoyed cheering you on and getting to witness your ups and downs. I echo the comment below - thank you for being you - in all the ups and downs and everything in between, it reminds me to work hard, have fun and be human at the same time. You talked about going through the quali routes - could you make a video on the route reading and memorization process for world cup routes?
You’re amazing bro
Inspiring stuff man keep it up
Can’t wait to see you crush laval. Also I just did my first couple v6s since coming back after watching your vids 🤪.
I cannot wait!! Nice to hear you’re crushing it 😎
Grande toby
Toby thanks for this, I watched both the World's in Bern and also this lead comp in Koper and its clear (as you note) that experience matters - in the sense of having seen a similar type of move - and that in both boulder and lead comps knowing what to do quickly is important since in boulder your time is constrained so limiting the number of tries you can have, and in lead its a matter of if you tire and then fall then that's it.
You are very naturally talented plus you work hard at training however (IMHO) you need to step up training with your real peers i.e. train with WC level climbers such as those you meet at the IFSC comps. Not sure how you do this but long stay visits to facilities such as that at Innsbruck come to mind.
Experience definitely counts for a lot and I feel I’m making quick progress so I’m hoping to pull it together in the next comps!
Yes that’s very important, training with other nations in different places is going to be a big part of my next phase of training and we already have a lot of trips planned in the near future. Thanks for the advice 😎
Hi! I know you were in YCS, and I am on my second year now and it’s coming up! Any advise?
Train hard and enjoy it 😎
Wondering if you and Sorato intentionally did similar "peace signs" for the video intro? :D
It was a coincidence - crazy 😂
Toby : travels around the world and eats burgers.
Priorities 😎
@@TobyClimbing XD
Do you try again the final routes after the comps ?
Unfortunately we are not allowed and the wall is stripped almost instantly 🥲
@@TobyClimbing oh I thought it was like for bouldering comps... Must be very frustrating
4:25 so cuteeee
