Disneyland's Skyway - Abandoned Remains and History - "Secrets!" Randomland !

- Опубликовано: 13 янв 2014
- For the past 20 years, an empty building has sat undisturbed, perched above Fantasyland. Many younger Disneyland guests have probably passed by without a second glance, but for those who have noticed the forgotten Swiss Chalet, they may have wondered what in the world it was for.
Pause: Check out Our SCHWEET shirts! www.livefastdie...
In Tomorrowland, on the edge of the carousel theatre that once housed America Sings & The Carousel of Progress is a strange stairway connected to the forgotten peoplemover track. It leads to a few doorways, but one large landing on the stairway seems to jut out against the edge of nowhere. This stairway to nowhere once led to the loading platform of one of Disneyland fans' favorite forgotten attractions, The Skyway.
Billed separately as Skyway to Fantasyland and Skyway to Tomorrowland, the Disneyland Skyway(s) operated from 1956 to 1994. A futuristic transportation technology in their day, they soon became a common sight in theme parks and other public attractions before disappearing from their original Southern California home forever.
In this Random installment, we see what's left of the forgotten skyway.....
THANK YOU for watching!

i was at disneyland the last day of the skyway in 1994. i was one of the last dozen or so to board it in fantasyland at the end of the day. by then nothing was coming in from tomorrowland but empty buckets. after the last guest was off the ride a single bucket took the last riders on a round trip before it closed forever. the last riders? mickey and minnie mouse. there were about 20 guests hanging around the rides exit to watch as they floated silently away from tomorrowland into the matterhorn. after what seemed like an eternity the bucket reappeared with mickey and minnie waving to us as we cheered. they disembarked, and they skyway was no more. i went back a couple of days later and the towers were already gone. a bittersweet memory for sure.
Danny D wow
a little added note: i was there a couple of weeks ago and all that's left of the old fantasyland station are three of the cement steps that led to the chalet. the chalet itself was removed this passed june. the three steps left now lead to a small hillside garden. i imagine they were left because walt disney walked on them.
Danny D sad :(
Danny D I've never been to Disneyland in California but if I do I wanna go to Disney California adventure to meet Oswald. I've always been to Disney World ._.
+ Oswald i'm just the opposite. been going to disneyland since i was 5 or 6,but never have been to disney world. i guess if i have a bucket list that would be near the top. i've never seen oswald at DCA but his image is all over buena vista street (DCAs main street) and on merchandise,so i suppose the character roams around from time to time.
And now the abandoned chalet has been demolished :(
R.I.P. you pretty piece of Disney history.
Since this video so much has changed! BTW if you like this, 4 years of adventures have continued over on the channel I'm typing this from... Randomland Adventures happen every week! Sometimes 5 or more times a week! Come join the fun :)
I know I'm quite off topic but does anybody know a good site to stream newly released series online?
@Kameron Leighton flixportal :D
@Warren Lucian Thanks, I signed up and it seems like a nice service :D Appreciate it!!
@Kameron Leighton Glad I could help xD
The Skyway at Disneyland was the first Vonroll 101 skyride built in the US. It's the reason soo many other theme parks ,zoos ,state fairs etc... built them. Sadly many are gone now due to a pair of fatal accidents in the late 1970s. One at Six Flags St. Louis due to riders rocking a car and a bushing in a tower that failed. The other happened at the Texas State Fair in 1979 when four cars piled up on one roller battery on a tower causing it to rotate and two cars to fall due to the dumb operator running it in high winds with known safety systems disabled.
Crazy to see Justin in 2014! He's changed so much (in a good way)
I was real little when it was taken down but I have some exciting thoughts about it. When I saw the movie UP I instantly thought this would be perfect. Take down the old shack and replace it with the house from the film (complete with balloons on top). Guests would hop on a basket that looked like it was supported by a cluster of balloons and sent along a reconstructed skyway path that curved around the mountain. Just seemed like a charming story that the house just found its way to land at Disneyland...
can we just appreciate how ADORABLE that moment was at 1:23 ?
The skyway and the people mover were one of the best Makeout rides at Disneyland.
OMG I cant believe the last time I was at Disneyland was the last year of the Skyway! Fine young cannibals "She drives me crazy was blasting, a bunch of Miss Teen USA contestants were there, My best Disney trip ever! As a 15-16 year old.
It's almost heartbreaking to me knowing it had to close down just because it COULDNT be fixed. How sad :(
My one and only trip to Disneyland was in the late 80s. I'm taking my kids on their first trip next summer and I'm loving your videos! The guy helped us book our trip said that it would be like coming for the first time since it's been so long. My Dad lugged his camera taking video of my sister and I. Mind you, he had one of the first camcorders on the block, almost as big as the commercial jobs today. Part of the video of the trip is on the Skyride and the boat ride that are now closed. Thanks for the video letting us know what happened to them!
I've been to Disneyland multiple times (then nearly stopped due to high season pass prices) and I've NEVER noticed any relics of the past you are very observant of the park Good Job hope your channel gets more subscribers
I worked Disneylands skyway between 1992 and 1993.
The best ride in the park. I still can hear the firework at 9:30pm above my head. Tomorrow Land and Fantasyland Skyway. On a busy day, we would have 44 cabins on the line which puts only 7 seconds between cabins entering the station. The man who jumped in 1994 was a stunt man. Great video.
I can't believe he called that woman ursula at 2:09 so funny XD
Gosh this brought back SO many memories for me! I remember riding those sky buckets! The guys that used to load & unload people onto them wore white shirts & "lederhosen",(white knee hi socks too!) Once I was in line for ?Mr. Toad's" ride, and a skybucket that passed from above us tossed out those small hard candies & a bunch of people in line (me included) got hit in the head! (ouch!) At night, when they would do the fireworks show, they would make an anouncement, and this lady dressed as "Tinkerbell" flew across on that skybuckets wire w/a magic wand, spotlight shining on her, before the show! It was so magical, and it was the same lady who did that for many years! Thanks for the memories:)
That's like the worst-best or best-worst prank ever! :/?
Really did happen! They weren't "smarties", but those hard candies that are red, orange, green,& the yellow one is shaped liked a banana...don't remember what they're called, but they hurt!!
LiveFastDiePoor It would be awesome if you could make a video about Tink's flight over Disneyland-- you could talk about the logistics and the history!
Cassidy Hopkins That's a great idea!
gildedthistle RUNTS!!!!!!
Adamthewoo sent me here. I love Disneyland!!!! Great videos mate
If they can put in a giant Ferris wheel, they can certainly make the Skyway safe. We loved that ride.
I’ve ridden both Disneyland and DisneyWorld Skyways numerous times. Great memories.
I miss them and wish they’d put them back.
I used to live near Disneyland, and went several times when I was a kid. I rode the "Skyway" many times. The fun thing - at least for a kid - was going through the Matterhorn and seeing the anamatronic "abominable snow man". Last time I've been to the park was 1983 (High School graduation trip), since my parents moved up to Northern CA a few years earlier. I should go again sometime soon, even though it's stupid-expensive...
not if you don't have to pay for a hotel room, and if you don't spend any money on snacks while there(ikr easier said than done)
where now
MrJest2 Yep same as me.
Love going through the Matterhorn as well. :)
Wow great video, lots of wonderful memories. But the Sky was actually closed for about two years during Matterhorn Bobsled's construction. Where the Matterhorn is today was large hill called Holiday Hill and on top of was the tallest tower for the Skyway which reached about 150 feet high. Much higher than the 95 foot limit of the former modern Skyway. Walt hated that eyesore of a tower. But it also provided the height of the Matterhorn. In fact he once told his Imagineers that he did not want his mountain taller than "that tower" and that was their height goal. So in late 1957 the Skyway closed. The main tower and Holiday Hill were removed then the Matterhorn was built in its place.
Excellent video! I too was terrified of the Skyway. Every time the bucket's wheels would go over the pylons, that noise and the slight vibration of the bucket would scare the you know what out of me!!
So glad I found your channel! I'm a huge history buff, specifically Disneyland history and it's always fun for me to find the remnants of old attractions whenever I go.
I've been obsessed with the skyway for awhile and no one else ever seems to know what it is or that the entire Skyway station (in fantasyland obviously) is still there. So this made me happy, to say the least. Thanks so much for this video, glad to see other people care about all these older attractions :)
I loved your posts, so fun, light hearted and informative. Disney should hire you guys as spokespeople.
I just found your videos today and love them. They way you combine history, facts, and your style of humor made me not even care that what's left of this stuff might hardly be worth filming because I was laughing so hard and learning so much anyway. I was more interested in some of the attractions they have now that you showed because some are featured on just about any and every video about closed/failed Disney attractions. However you showed and talked about ones I've never seen or heard of. If you haven't guessed yet I've never been to Disney land but if I had gotten to as a little girl I would have loved the Little Mermaid one you talked about. I could totally imagine the giant she'll and how it would have been sitting when you showed it old spot, thank you so much. Also your quips about people at the park are harmless and hilarious and might be my favorite parts of each video "Johnny Depp?" "Ersala?" If your intro wasn't so loud and offensive to my ears everything would be perfect.
Great video Justin! WDW's skyway closed in 1999, and there WAS a death at the MK version. A janitor was sweeping a path in one of the stations one morning before park opening, when a ride operator started the ride not knowing of the janitors presence. Instead of jumping out of the way, he decided to try to jump into the gondola. He didn't make it and left the station clinging to the outside of the gondola for dear life. He travelled a little ways until he lost his grip, and fell 40 ft. to his death. Disney, however, still insists that this incident had nothing to do with the closing of the ride. The official story behind Disney closing the Skyway's in both parks breaks it down into 3 factors. 1) Low capacity 2) Cost of operation (MK had a station midway that required even more CM's for a single attraction) and 3) Cost of keeping dirty roofs clean (which are only visible from the Skyway) all led to the demise of a park favorite. With the development of MK's New Fantasyland, the old Fantasyland Skyway station has been replaced by a forced perspective version of Rapunzels tower on a rocky hill, with restrooms underneath.
That's freaking crazy. No way would I do that. I believe Disney that it didn't lead to closure though. A lot of people have died trying to Swim rivers of America and it's never closed - but Leave it to MK to replace an attraction with a bathroom!
Thanks for uploading! I probably only rode the Skyway once before they took it down (I was very young), and until recently, I actually thought I had dreamed it. I asked my mom if it had actually existed when I noticed the holes in the mountain on a random visit (because going through the Matterhorn was the most vivid snapshot of it in my mind) and my mom confirmed that it had indeed actually existed. My sister was born in 1993, so she was like "What!?" Thanks for all the info about it!
Oh wow! That's awesome!
Your Disneyland videos are fantastic. I'm always impressed by how much you know. Keep it up!
I loved the skyway. My grandfather (1896-1980 RIP) took my twice a year to Disneyland for many years back in the 60/70's when i was a kid up until I was about 13. (basically 6yr old to12.) Twice a year (It is an understatement to say I was spoiled and lucky.) Plus, once a year he took me to knotts (he knew the Knots from the berry days - and two we wants to Knott's Calico ghost town. My grandfather was in his mid 60's when he started taking me to Disney. 65 yrs old, I don't know how he kept up with me. Unlike many parents today, when we went on Tom Sawyer's island he would take a break, and let me roam around the island all by myself (you know; old school no hover parenting freedom.) Every visit, we always took the skyway towards the end of the night, and finished the night with the train ride. Being 60 myself now. I give a heartfelt thanks to Walt Disney (for never giving up and creating Disneyland,) to his family members and friends who believed in him and struck by him during the hard times, especially his brother; to all the disney staff and employees over the years who made the experience special by always staying in character; and especially to my grandfather for his generosity, and who let me explore and discover many wonderful experiences in life without being a helicopter parent, but who still provided me with ages old wisdom (and an appreciation for the power of kindness.) . For those of you who read my entire post, thank you for indulging me in my personal story. I wish you all good fortune and the opportunity to do the things that bring happiness to you and yours. Peace.
Well, that explains a whole lot about the Skyway's disappearance. Thanks a lot!! I remember riding it when I was in elementary school. Came back to DL several years later and was super disappointed to not see it there. So, all those years since the 90s, I had to wonder why they took down one of the coolest rides that went through a ride that I was too scared to ride at that time. :D
You're one of my FAVORITE RUclipsrs! I thank you for your fun insight and all the laughs! I hope we run into each other at Disneyland again:)
Thanks Heather :D
That ride (and rides like it) scared me too! I agree rides like that (such as the similar ride at Santa Cruz Boardwalk) are usually one of the scariest at the park for me and I'll ride anything!
This was my first video of yours I saw and been watching for so long now. Crazy how much your channel has changed love you Justin. 💙
Very cool, thanks for teaching us something new about our favorite place in the world Disneyland!!!
Great video. I proposed to my wife on the Skyway, just about where the pole at Toad's Wild Ride was, on Valentine's Day, 1987. I was very sad to see it go.
Wow I did not realize that it had been 20 years since the Skyway was operating. Thanks for another great video that brings back great memories of Disney with some comedy moments too!
Isn't it crazy? 20 years! Time flies!
Love your video. We used to ride the skyway growing up and used the Fantasyland Station in the 80s. I mighr even have pictures somewhere. Very cool!!!
I love your little animations!
Thanks man! It was the only way I could think of to "illustrate" the point.
LiveFastDiePoor I still remember at ride skyway
Thanks for all the facts! You help me look smarter to my best friend, and I'd rather learn theme park trivia than, like, things I could use outside of Disneyland.
A few weeks ago, I played your videos during my son's Disneyland-themed birthday party, and today while we were at Disneyland, I saw you! I was sitting outside of Innoventions around 1pm and thought you looked familiar, but when I saw you recording I knew it was you. Almost went over and said hello to a fellow Disneyland nerd. Anyway, keep up the good work!
WOW That is so awesome! Haha and next time say hi! Although I was in a pretty crazy rush today haha
My first visit to Disneyland my four older brothers and I went on the teacup ride and spun it really fast. After that we went on the skyway ride and one of my brothers got sick and barfed over the side somewhere over Fantasyland. To this day I will not ride the teacups.
Man.. I with you a 1000% on that one. In my teens, my friend and me when to disneyland. He badgered, challenged, and even called me a called me p88sy if i didn't ride them; well you know how teens take challenge (at least it wasn't a fire challenge, or tide pods.I would never do those I may be stupid but not that stupid.) He liked getting dizzy, but I passionately hated it.. First ride, I was dizzy and sick to my stomach. About an hour later, just as i was started to feel better; be badgered me again and stupid me rode them again. Same thing, dizzy but even more sick this time, we went through the same routine two more times. I was so sick by the 4th time tha as i was just about to vomit in the middle of a crown on main street, I found security officer, told my hi i was about ready to vomit. he very assertively grabs me by the upper arm as if I'm a criminal and rushes me to a restroom, LOL, everyone is looking at me like i just got caught for doing something bad. I didn't recover back to normal until long after I was home. I know I know. why did it keep doing it? He kept badgering me, and after the first time I was so dizzy I wasn't thinking straight. Every consecutive time it cumulatively got worse. Ruined the entire night. I got him back though, but that's for another story. He only had to wear the cast for a month... LOL
Your videos just keep getting better and better. Keep up the good work, can't wait for the next one!!
Wow, That's encouraging! I know they can't all be gold but comments like that are a big boost! Thanks!
Where my “watching this in 2020 during quarantine” squad at
we were always promised to go there but never did,,,our cousins rubbed it in.Justin this is an awesome production. You have a real talent.Keep up the awesome work.Huggs, silky
I love that you explain what a skyway is plus that you were fearful of them!!!! It always seemed like they would fall off the cable as they were held on by a singular clamp!!! What is that??!!? Still good fun to ride!!!
It always took great courage for me to ride the Skyway, but I felt so grown up when I made it across!
Love these videos!! I've been to Disneyland once when I was little and hope to go back someday and see all the little details and things that you've pointed out!
Yay! Sky buckets were my favorite ride. I appreciate seeing them memorialized Live Fast Die Poor style.
:D I think they still have some at the San Diego Zoo
Cool vid. Yay Franks! I miss the Skyway but not the lines. :-). I liked seeing the Abomidable from the Skyway.
Yes! And I agree about the lines too! Soooo long!
the Skyway was epic when I was a kid
:). awesome video dude, keep them coming.
Thank you! Will do!!!!
LiveFastDiePoor I remember the skyway was a good ride to tomorrowland and hope at bring good times
as the old say goes; right on man/ dude/______ fill in the blank.
im proud to say i've spent a full night in that skyway station in fantasyland :)
P.S. We'll be at Disneyland in a few weeks - you've given me and my teenage son a whole 'nother list of things to do: touch the Dominguez tree, search for the smellitizers, check out Mark Twain's pilot certificate, maybe take some awkward photos near the poop gates, smirk at the 'golden center-of-the-park' spike, babble to ourselves in the echo spot, etc, etc. Who needs rides?! :)
Amen! I wrote a whole article about that on our website actually, how not riding rides (or at least not worrying about getting on as many as possible) is how to have the best time! livefastdiepoor.com/article/how-to-avoid-the-worst-disneyland-mistake/
LiveFastDiePoor Yeah, I read your article earlier and couldn't agree more. We've also learned by sad experience through the years that trying to compulsively run here and there to do it all defeats the whole purpose. On our trips from Hawaii we now spend 5+ days at the parks and have evolved in our daily goals - "today, we're eating ice cream on Main Street; tomorrow, Dole Whips." BTW, message me on Facebook if you're going to be in the parks in the next few weeks - it would be really cool for my son and I to meet you.
I knew Lynn Hart, "Ops 1" for Disneyland. He was in charge of all daily operations at the park. It is true a high school aged individual jumped on a dare and landed in the tree referenced. The reason they removed the skyway ride is Orange County then had a justification to pressure Disneyland to install 2 ADA cars. They would be so big it wasn't plausible to do. Orange county would have fined the park daily until it was done. What was Disneyland's solution...they removed the entire ride in 8 hours during the park's off hours. An amazing engineering feat. They didn't inform the county and waited until they showed up for the inspection. Classic Disney.
you just got a new subscriber!!! you're videos are awesome!!!! i love finding new info about Disney and I'm learning a lot! thank you, keep up the great work!!!! :)
Another great video! Wdw had the same ride witch lasted only a few years longer. The skyway to tomorrowland station was JUST removed last year to make way for bathrooms in the "new fantasyland".....ugh.
Cool video as usual, good memories of the Skyway!
Very interesting. I enjoyed the Skyway when I rode it in 1989. I would enjoy seeing it come back, but as a round the park instead.
We called them skybuckets. I remember riding them in WDW in 1980's and filming the whole thing. I think I'm going to try and find our old videos of WDW and post them. Thanks!
That's what we always called them too! Let me know if you post those videos! !
I miss the old Disneyland parking lot now it’s so complicated but that doesn’t stop me from coming. And remember the tickets to get in were letters. 😀
I went on a skyway at a theme park near where I live and I have to say, those things are mad cool!!
I really miss the skyway.:( I especially liked that Fantasyland Boarding area, it was beautiful!
ArcadeDude44 Same here was just a kid way back but I did get to ride the Skyway.
It is a shame they ripped it out. :|
Me too I miss skyway
Stupid idiot people jumping out took it away.:(
They have employees throughout every ride in little back coves or dark spots to keep an eye on everyone & everything. Eyes are on you on every ride and not just through cameras. Also you would be surprised at what people can do on small confined spaces.
I was 19 yrs. old in 1970 and went to the skyway for a ride with a friend. We had brought something along to "smoke" and we figured the best place to do it and not get caught was on the skyway. Well we boarded the gondola and the guy helping people get in looked at us and said "Wait until your out in the middle". Me and my friend looked at each other and said how did he know what we were going to do. I hope the people riding the matterhorn enjoyed the aroma as we passed through it.
Make more "abandoned" disneyland videos please. These are really interesting!!! Definately subbed :D
They should turn that remnant of the Skyway into a Disneyland History of Rides. Like video tours of the torn down rides, a plaque showing the history about the ride and a map to show where that ride use to stand. Thumbs up if you agree.
Awesome videos. I'm a huge fan. Keep them coming!
And almost to add insult to injury, the TV commercial for Xmas at Disneyland depicts a family riding the Skyway past the Matterhorn where the daughter scoops up some know in her hands. Even though that ride hasn't even existed for two decades.
Keep these vids coming I love the style and quality of what you do. Its really a win/win. You get to go to Disney, I get to experience Disneyland when Im not there, and in a fun way! Thanks for the entertainment!
Wow, thank you for that comment, and you're welcome! I'm just glad someone was entertained!
Ive never been to disneyland but ive been having fun learning about the cool things that still exist from the old things.
The other night I was curious if parks like cedar point or canadas wonderland have done the same thing... but theyre much harder to find cool videos like this about!
Great videos! I used to love to ride the Skyway. A cast member told me they shut it down because of renovation issues and the fact that they couldn't control "guest behavior" lol (this was right after the dumbass tried to jump out into the lagoon) That ride was the best place to get crazy pictures. Thanks for giving us a Disney trip when we can't be at Disneyland :D
:Thank You!:
I always thought they shut it down because teenagers were "doing it" in the skyways. It least I tried to.
That's what I heard too. I guess it was someones job to watch buckets as they traveled across the park and if you bucket rocked a lil' too much you were escorted out.
Nope! Not that or the copious amounts of illicit substance use. If that were the case Tom Sawyers Island and all the dark rides would have been shut down in the early 70s! ;D
True. I heard something along those lines with the Journey through Inner Space.
LiveFastDiePoor It's too bad I am too young to have gone on Adventure thru Intercourse
Not really an unknown fact is that alot of people do it in it's a small world all the time, depending on the cast members mood, either ask them to stop, or do nothing (I heard that once the applauded some people after xD
This was very interesting. Great job. Great energy, and humor. I miss that ride.
The rumor at Disney World for the Skyway being removed was that an employee was out cleaning the buckets when someone, not knowing he was out there, started the ride and he fell and was either seriously injured or killed. It started on the edge of Fantasy Land/ Frontier Land and went to Tomorrow Land, Ending above the Carousel of Progress. They just recently tore down the ride entrance in Fantasy land and put up a new Tangled themed Bathroom ( which was much needed.) to help with the crowds from the ' New Fantasyland' Because the only bathrooms they had in that area were next to Peter Pan's flight and were always crowded because of how few stalls it had. The Queue for the skyway was used as stroller parking for Its a Small World and Peter Pan's Flight until the remodel. It created a Major bottleneck because of the small walkway from fantasy land to frontier land. Being as it was right next to Haunted Mansion and the parade route, Regulars would avoid that area around 3 ish. But now there is a nice opening to help with the flow of traffic. I'm not sure when they removed the Tomorrow land entrance though. It might still secretly be there for all i know. lol
yet another great video Justin thanks for it & please keep them coming
Thanks Joe!!!
Super-informative, thanks a bunch.
At Dreamworld here on the Gold Coast, there was a Skylink Chairlift in operation from 89 to 95. I remember riding it as a kid and being terrified too.
It was manufactured by Ferrari and they have not removed the towers that supported the cables. Few rides, etc. like that at Dreamworld, standing by not removed (or not entirely removed like in this case).
WOW - I would love to see that! I hope to make it down under someday, especially QLD since it seems like the most amazing scenery!
Well I hope you do. Nice scenery and the Gold Coast is home to the majority of the major theme parks in Australia too.
i love your vids. you give good info. and i love the intro " were back at disneyland"
"Thumbs Up" Brought back alot of good memories :-) ..
"Ursula?" hahaha that made me laugh pretty hard!
that was very scary but weeeeeeird especially when u passed Thru The Matterhorn Youd Feel Kind Of Safe But Then You Would not in an instant keep up the good work Justin
The Skyway was one of my favorite rides. I remember being puzzled by not seeing the Skyway baskets during my grad night back in 1995. I hadn't heard about it being gone for good at that time. It's amazing how they took down the Skyway and sealed up the holes in the Matterhorn mountain in one night!
Watching Disney land or Disney World videos makes me want to go back there
+Donovin Micks same
That's where you went to smoke a joint.
Back in the 60's..70's and 80's Disneyland's dress code was extreme!
Blue jeans were not allowed in the 70's and my daughter's friend had to remove her make-up in the 80's. Different times.
"Ursula?" Ha! You're cracking me up, dude!
Wow! What an entertaining video. One of your best so far! Keep it up.
Thanks Tom!!! :D
I just watched "Frozen" on dvd and on the extras, the film makers of "Frozen" describe how artwork by Imagineer Marc Davis inspired the movie's designs. In the '50s, Davis was developing a dark ride where guests could go to escape the heat by visiting an "Ice Princess". With the rumors about the skyway building being bulldozed (and the popularity of the film) I wonder if Disneyland is planning on building Elsa's Castle.
yeah, it seems it would fit perfectly up there on a hill. Another attraction I was thinking they were going to do was "the seven dwarf mine train" but I'm sure Disney prefers to have more diversity in their park attractions
Erik James
They did that in WDW.
That would be so awesome
Erik James im pretty sure they already did that the mine train
allan ayala
You knocked this right out of Da Park!......... Rockford has nothing on You!....... This is Top- Notch Professional investigation ................ :)
This was a great episode! I learned a lot. I remember the skyway from WDW from when I was a kid :) I have very fond memories of it!
LiveFastDiePoor Great video, brah and interesting bits of Disney history! I figured they closed the skyway just because it was loosing its futuristic aesthetics. That or it wasn't living up to safety requirements. But great video. Love Disneyland. I'm going back this week.
Nice one! It's too bad they couldn't keep the Skyway around but I guess it was time to go. The animations were a nice touch!
Thank you!!!!
LOL I love you videos!! Hilarious and informative. Thanks!!
Totally love watching your videos they keep me entertained and I love your hair !!!!! And you are sooo funny

Thanks man!!!!!!!
Yay I've been waiting for a video on the Skyway! I wish i was around to ride it :(
Fantastic video! I never noticed those stairs in Tomorrowland before, probably because i only went to that corner to use the restroom!
There's another weirdo thing right there too, on the way to the restroom alongside the wall of that gift shop is a door about 3 1/2 or 4 feet tall, really bizarre!
LiveFastDiePoor That sounds cool! I'll have to check that out along with the echo spot next time i'm there which will probably be awhile because i live in Florida! I used to go to Disneyland a lot and never noticed the stuff in your videos! Next time i go I'll try to find everything! Great videos, keep up the good work! :)
what the duck? I LIVE!!! Is there any celebrity you cant notice in the crowd? By far the best video yet....def cant wait for more.
I always wondered what the staircase led to in Fantasyland!!
So awesome meeting you today!
You too! Sorry I would have hung around longer but I had like 30 minutes to finish what I was doing and bail! :)
Oh yeah, and I put that photo on instagram too just look for #pictureswithstrangers lol
Oh that's okay! Cool to catch you in action though! And okay, cool! I don't think I can find the picture tho haha
Well after reading all of these reviews I'm glad I'm not the only one that had an "experience" or 10 lol on the Skyway and after reading everything that everybody else has done I don't feel alone anymore haha those days were great I remember getting asked to "stand over here" once because we got caught "smoking" ..I got off in Fantasyland 1 time and when the guy turned his head allegedly we ran away.. I think I was about 15 then (1973) lol.. and in 1976 for grad night I think I remember having some issues that night too ..oh my gosh it was so fun I think that was in the Monsanto Journey to the Center of my mind LOL ride or inside the eye or whatever it was called.. lol I might even have some photos of this somewhere and I am looking for those photos for you still. ...
Love it! Thanks for all the history!
:) Thank YOU for watching
My friend was the 3rd to last person to be on the skyway! No kid he got to do it because he worked at the park. 100% true
Great job on this video!!!
