      J-Rod Musik Honestly id say more like Queen, How many people listened to Bohemian Rhapsody the first time and said "Holy shit the is the greatest thing ever" probably more like "this is the weirdest shit ever". Btbam is very similar in my eyes, It takes time to for the music click into your head before you start to see it as a conceptual masterpiece. Although yea definitely lots of pink Floyd influence! but if I were to compare them to a band it would be Queen!

    I love how much Blake scaled down, and I think he sounds better! How he can be sooo creative with basic set (more cymbals obviously and a 3rd tom and maybe a 4th(?)) is beyond me. All of these guys have crazy memory to play an ENTIRE 70 plus minute mammoth of an album AND White Walls just for kicks. Clearly the top of the food chain in modern music, not just metal.

    I wasn't a biggest fan of this album at first, but it has grown on me lately. I think the "weird" parts, like "Bloom", are more structured than weird parts in previous albums. I also feel as if Dan had more of a role, or at least his presence his more apparent in this album, which is always appreciated.

    • @kiefdemon1979
      @kiefdemon1979 9 лет назад +3

      It's more of an obvious presence now. Dan has written so much that Paul and Dusty got credit for like the intro to Ants of the Sky, also same with Tommy. Dan wrote all of bloom but everyone assumes it was Tommy and Paul. The fact that most of Dan's writing for btbam has been on everything but bass is insane. He writes all his bass parts but throws hella guitar parts at Paul and Dusty and keys to Tommy. He wrote all the brass and wind instruments for this album and conducted them while they recorded it. Dan truly is the man.

    BTBAM is the best band in this galaxy. I wonder what type of shit people rock out to in Andromeda? Every other heavy band pales in comparison, but I bet they could make the best soft rock album too if they wanted to.

      I wanna see Lay Your Ghosts to Rest and Into the Everblack. I really don't think either band could pull off a clean cover.

      Not to say they aren't talented. I just think the drummers are way too different in style to emulate each other like that.

      I'll never forget seeing them play with BDM several years back. They were both supporting Cannibal Corpse and the place kind of cleared when cc went up to play, haha.

    but forreeeaallll BTBAM has to collaborate with Tosin sometime and make the most orgazmic fucking shit in the universe. Aliens from other galaxies will suddenly hear that shit like 5 million years from now and their whole existence would just be obliterated hahaha.
