you ladies nailed it. Ive been tall over the DR so many times and soon I hope to be in the Philippines. I can tell that there are various similarities that are undeniable. I introduced my mom to your channel and she fell in love with both of you. she got emotional when you actually bought your tickets. keep up the great content, I insist jiji.
yes do a places similarity check please. and for other contents in the future, what about major differences between our countries, may not be a lot but still interesting to know :)
Being a foreigner in the DR 🇩🇴,I vouch the hospitality of the people here. I think that is why I like living in the DR. It reminds me of the PH 🇵🇭when I lived there as a kid.
I love that you guys have this video I’m actually Dominican mixed with Filipino and African ancestry I wanted to know more about me so I searched this up
10:08 Yes that's true but the Filipinos don't spell them correctly heheh. I always get a chuckle out of it, especially if I don't recognize the word right away. It took me a minute to realize what "Kumusta" was.
I been in sto Domingo and also San Pedro Dominican 🇩🇴 i love that place there is similarity with the Spanish architecture and the people is friendly and lovely like you my Sol ..
A good content video I'm looking forward to watch from Sol and Luna TV are price comparisons between a Philippine city, and a DR city, which is cheaper, which is more expensive... 😊
Oooh Shangri-la mall. I have not been there for like more than 15 years but it still looks as I remember it. It's also amazing that there are so many similarities and most surprising the currency. As usual I always learn something new from you guys. 😍😍💖💖💖💖
To add about both countries national religion being Catholic, the flag of the DR is the only flag in the world with the Holy Bible on the seal. Saludos.
Hi Sol and Luna, my name is Christian How are you? Hope you do remember me? We met in La Latina Restaurant at Greenbelt, and i came to your table and I said I’m following your vlog, and apparently I dance with you about three times but only one of you because the other one had a boyfriend sitting next to her. Hope you remember now I also that I have two Condos one in Makati and one in In Moa, and I said I’m from Australia. I’m already in Australia at the time of this message. But I will be back in the Philippines on July 30th again hopefully we meet there and dance again. I will also organise a small get together in my place so would love you to join us as my special guest. Send me a message or email to my email address which: crissymetoo@gmail.com. Hope to hear from you soon.
5:15 In the Philippines, it's mostly (but not all) the daughter who is expected to support her parents even if she's married, but the married son is mostly only expected to support the family he started.
Let's inviting our friend Sol and Luna from Domican Republic to the Big Event in Quiapo,Manila Fiesta's and Feast of the Black Nazarene on January 9 😍😍
Tampa Florida even celebrates a pirate named Jose Gaspar. We celebrate for about 6 weekends in a row with a huge parade. The Gasparilla parade has been going on since 1904 or 1905. Many of the floats also take part in the celebration in New Orleans. Lots of beer and blank ammo going on, including blank ammo for cannons. Between 500k and 750k people attend.
Acordado ciento pro ciento! As a Filipino living in Canada, i love and privilege that I am able visit Latin American as often (at least 2x a year) because of the closer distance. I felt like home when visiting Latin America, since I seldom visit the Philippines. And it also enhances my Spanish. In fact, I consider retiring in Central America, if not in the Philippines.
You forgot to mention another similarity between both countries..The beautiful women..The Dominican beauty queens have made their mark on the international pageant stage..just like our world class queens!..Our queens are the Latina beauties of Asia..thanks to our Spanish and American ancestors, and our Chinese, Indo Malay, Indian and European forebears, we have an interesting and diverse mix of people in this part of the world..The Mestizas,(Spanish/American/European/Chinese)The Morenas(Indo Malay) and the Kayumanggis,(Brown skinned Filipinas)..Similarly the Dominicans have their Mestizas and Morenas as well..👍❤

@@karabaw7445 when I was in Philippines I felt like half of the ppl or more could pass as the Mexican brown skin type of Latino and I realize it's because of native Americans looking similar to Philippines and pacific Islanders like Hawaiians. so yes in a way you are right, Latinos are distant ancestors of asians, since Siberians who came to America were close ancestors to Austronesians and pacific Islanders.

It would be Mexico in my opinion. Though Indonesia is closer in geography, they have completely different cultures and religion alone.
