Royston Gibbs hey there! Sorry for the late reply! I ate once a day in a caloric deficit.. i only ate salads... lean meats... vegetables.. WATER WATER WATER and I worked out 6 days a week. Just started a one meal a day Keto diet yesterday... day 2 is definitely harder, I’m starving! Only looking to lose a stone or two (14-28lbs) wish me luck!!
I've been doing intermittent fasting 16/8 the past month and i have lost 20 lbs already. Of course I have had some cheat days but it still help me lose weight
This man is a gift from God. I'll start my fasting tomorrow after seeing a few videos from this channel. I'll come back with an update soon, I promised myself to do this for the better. I’m a 23 years old female that is struggling with losing weight. So glad I started looking for help and advice here on RUclips.
Get a slight caloric deficit..move your body you will lose weight it takes time There is no magic diet, amount of fasting ie short term gains that last long term We all fast from the time we go to bed til we have our first meal . Give it time this is a lifetime thing, different approach to health. Throw the scale out go by how you look and feel. Dont follow anyone except what works for you.
It's annoying how people tell me fasting is bad, an won't work. Been fasting/keto daily for a month, an every week my family/friends say. "See! Your not losing weight, now quit!" But I know it takes many months, I love how doable it is! In 8months when I've lost all my weight, we'll see who was right, I refuse to quit! Plus I've cured so many ailments, acne, IBS, acid reflux, allergies, infections, upped my immune system, used to catch everything, an be bedridden for months. Fasting has changed my life!
@@Tiffani- I'm 5 months in I do warrior fasting (20+hrs) and IT dry fasting. I found that because I was so sick my body won't focus on weight loss till it heals body. I added Park Shin Hye vegetarian diet, an in 17 days dropped 14lbs. I naturally hold alot of water weight, bad matabolism, health wise I'm much better, an becoming leaner. But I think I'm a special case. Healthier individuals can have more success. (I'm actually going to make a progress video of Park Shin Hye diet, after I finish June 31, 2021.)
I have been doing omad since January and I have now lost 42 pounds since then. I appreciate your videos because they were an amazing guide to achieve my goal. Only 10 more pounds then I will be down to a good 170 pounds. 🙏
I have been eating 1 meal a day and fasting, 18/6, since 2017. For the last 6 months I’ve cut sugar out my diet (not natural sugars) and cut out snacking etc. I work out 5 days a week as well. Since May 1st, I’ve been eating every 20-22 hours now..... Hard but my body looks and feels better. We are addicted to eating and eating poorly in our country. Knowledge and being mentally strong is the key to prolong life and happiness
im confused by this because i dont understand if i should schedule my workouts before i break my fast or my meal immediately after my work out? ive been using a preworkout on days that i feel sluggish or weak so i dont consume food for energy. can anyone help me out with this or is it more of trail and error?
I can say that this type of eating is a life savior. I am on a "warrior" fast for the last 15+ years without knowing that it is called like that, i eat only when i am hungry, and always had two big meals a day, one before noon and the second no more than 4 hours after the first. I do not like sweets and i hate bread and bakery, but i love red meat and raw vegetables and that is what i eat the most. I am 185cm high and my weight varies from 88kg to 82 kg as long as i remember and i do not care how much i eat. I have not been to the gym for more than 10 years and have not done a singe workout for last 6 years do to a bike accident. Started doing some exercise 15 days ago and i can do only one single proper pull-up, 10 chin-ups and less than 30 push ups so far. For some one that was not much physical active for more than 5 years i can confirm that my fasting eating regime saved my body from deteriorating.
James Mike Woods Congratulations!! Which one are you doing as far as eating window? I’m 6’ 2” 248Lbs. I want to lose 30 pounds. The only true BAD habit I have is ice cream “every night” watching TV. I’m eating a pint every night...that’s 1200 calories per night!! Sorry to ramble. Happy for you!
@cheesedude67 the majority of the time I do 23/1 and every couple days I do a 20/4. I guess technically it is omad but it is still IF. Basically I am not strict omad because the shortest I've done is a 19/5. I try to go as long as I can in my fasting window. I try to keep my body guessing and not hit a plateau.
Great video. I have started doing long term fasting. I go for 48 to 72 hours. I have already lost 37 pounds in 60 days. I also have broken 5 of my fitness records in that same time frame. Tons of great info in your video.
I NEVER COMMENT ON VIDEOS, but I wanted to this time because wow THANK YOU! You explained everything so well, clear and factual. Well done and thank you for not leaving no stone unturned. I have subscribed, saved the video and now I am going to share it to a bunch of people I have spoken to over the past week about fasting.
I started this before I even started doing research or even heard of this. I work from 4pm - 12am so my routine is actually quite easy. I eat at 2pm, usually something big like a steak and some veggies. I usually take my lunch break at work at 7:30 and I’ll eat some yogurt with granola and fruits. I drink lots of water throughout the day so that helps out a lot. I lost about 15 pounds in 3 weeks.
Hi, can I ask you a question? Can the fasting be done say I eat at 6pm and not eat until 10-11am that’s still 16 hours. Why do they say to eat until 8-9pm I thought eating that late was bad cause metabolism slows down
Ever since I started the Keto diet I noticed that I started to eat less and get full much quicker and eating acv gummies help before meals also helped me eating less and not getting hungry for quite some time
I attended Cardio Classes at 6am and 7pm, 5 days a week, 4 months. The Staff and Owner at the Gym would not answer questions about how to get the most out of our workouts, diet wise. We would have to pay for paper work on diet. My Classmates and I were going to McDonald's after each class. Thank you sincerely for your online playlist. We all hit a plateau. After Covid 19 lock down stops I am now armed with the diet that suits me. No takeaway and basically a vegetarian diet. Thank you for your well researched and excellent explanations via your playlist.
I dropped from 134 kg (295 lbs) to 80 kg (176 lbs) in 5 months, and I started with this video. I found this video back in July 2019. I prepared myself and started fasting in August 2019, starting with 16/8 and eventually going full OMAD, coupling it with a very simple home dumbbell full-body workout I found here on RUclips. By the end of December 2019, I was at 80 kg (normal) from 134 kg when I first started (very obese). Right now, I'm hovering between 85 kg and 90 kg, gaining muscle weight slowly. So, yeah, all thanks to this video. :)
I'm into day 2 of my 84 hour fast, and I've already lost about 3.5 Lbs. and am feeling pretty good. Listening to this, as well as anticipating my ultimate results has got me amped. I'm seriously considering either the 20/4 or an 18/6 eating pattern. Thanks for some useful tips- I've subbed.

Here is an easy formula to calculate eating window for different start times. (start time +eating window)-12=window end time. Example: (9.00am + 6hrs)-12 = 3:00pm. Use .50 or .25 for half and quarter hour times. ex. 9:30 is use 9.5.

I've some medical reasons, but I dont want that to use as excuses... On top of that I started to swim. Hoping to see some results in 3 months.❤
Not sure what if the best part of this video is (A) the perfect summary of how to implement Intermittent Fasting or (B) hilarious, perfectly picked up short videos supporting that message!
I have depression and fasting for 16 hours is easy as fuck when you're depressed, it even raises your mood. I did intermittent fasting by just skipping breakfast and lunch, but didn't do it every day. I now want to do intermittent fasting every single day with a concrete plan. Thanks for all these tips in the video!
I’ve been intermittent fasting for 2 weeks my body is still hungry in the morning but it really helps me control myself I’m Asian so it’s really hard to loose weight everyday used to eat 3 servings of rice a day I’ve limited myself to 1 and it’s really helping me with weight loss and my mental health it makes me feel good about myself this summer I had anxiety that was so bad I didn’t go out any of the days June through July I was so unhappy and mad at myself but self love is deeply needed hopes this inspires🤷🏻♀️
I've been doing IF for several months now, and I also workout on a Fasted State. It was very tough at first doing 30 to 45 minutes of Spin Class with H.I.I.T incorporated and then doing two to three body parts afterwards. But, my body was able to adapt and I feel great. It's become a lifestyle for me. However, I make sure to take supplements such as Krill Oil, CQ10, Magnesium Chelate, MultiCollagen Powder, Probiotics, and Digestive Enzymes to help aid with digestion and efficacy. I also take German Creatine and Vegan BCAA pre and post workouts. I make sure to drink at least a gallon of water mixed with 2 TBSP of Apple Cider Vinegar and 1/4 spoon of Himalayan pink salt because it contain 84 elements of minerals, which keeps me hydrated and it quenches my hunger during my workout. According to research, adding lemon juice to water will break the fast so I don't add it. Anyway, great video.
I'm doing almost all the same things as you! I pre-mix the apple cider vinegar, lemon and water in a pitcher and drink one cup first thing in the morning. The fasting is still working for me. I am burning fat like crazy. It's only been a month or a little less and I have lost a lot of belly fat and back and side fat. I eat up until 6.00 at night and I go to the gym in the evening. Since I started the 16/8 fasting I have mostly been doing aerobics. Elliptical and stationary bike and stretching exercises. It's definitely working! I have lost 15 lbs of fat already.
I eat at 12 in the afternoon and then at 6 in the evening, been doing it for more than months but I have gained weight 😏.Then I realized I should aslo exercise
Are you a male and were you extremely overweight? That's a lot to lose in one month. Joaquin Phoenix lost 52 lbs in 2 months and practically starved himself to do Joker. Not safe for him.

I’m 58 years old who played football in college as a lineman and have been as high as 310 lbs at 58 i now trend between 225 lbs to 232 lbs! The human body is optimized on the edge of starvation!
I started inadvertently "Intermitent Fasting" when I started counting calories and realised just how many calories were in breakfast cereals, even the unsweetened kind. Who would have thought that cutting a 300-400 calorie meal would lead to weight loss. Mind blown. If only I'd known about *checks notes* eating less, would lead to weight loss. I do appreciate that the video acknowledges this to an extent with the 16-8 "method". There are apps out there that will charge you $10 a month for that.
Philip Gibson you can eat all your calories in one sitting and still loose weight. I’ve tried it for three months. “Stupid diets” don’t work for everyone if they aren’t willing to change.
Well put!!! I’m already doing the intermittent fasting without even knowing that was a thing and I was wondering how I’ve been losing fat and still maintaining muscle. I’m glad I got to see this video to know I’m doing this right! This is so easy. I’m definitely going to try the warrior diet. I feel more focused without food 😅
I knew which food I need to eat to lose weight, but I didn't know how much. Diet plan I got from next level diet contains portion sizes for every meal. Fantastic!

Just started today. I bloat like crazy after eating ANYTHING! so OMAD is great I only bloat one time a day then. I was feeling dizzy after having some coffee so not doing that again. I’m excited to feel better!
I started with that, but settled into OMAD with the occasional 48-72h fasts. I remember following a personal trainers advice of eating 6 times a day, and it was exhausting to always be preparing or eating food, especially with the training schedule (and of course your basic 9-5 job).

Zeeshan Manzoor check your sugar/ refined carb consumption. If there is always insulin in your blood due to those, it will prevent u from tapping into your fat stores for energy- so no weight loss.

Cheers for the Video clip! Forgive me for butting in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you researched - Dinanlinson Amazing Look Approach (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is a smashing one of a kind product for learning how to quickly lose weight minus the headache. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my cousin at last got astronomical success with it.
free spirit that’s because of lack of knowledge. Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, said we should keep space for air and water in our stomach. (So over eating is actually not allowed in Islam). Secondly, we should break our fast with water and dates , or milk and dates. After breaking fast, we go and pray so it gives us some time before having dinner. For dinner we have light soup or broth , instead of having a big feast. Salads/fruits are also good options. There is no point to fast if we intend to break our fast in an unhealthy way, it will only do damage. And it’s against Islam. So before bashing onto a religion without any knowledge or because of its people, do your research please, it will benefit you too. ✌🏼
free spirit while many people do unfortunately do this in Ramadan, that’s actually not how it’s supposed to go. It’s supposed to be a lot like what he’s explaining. Peace and blessings to you.
hey for all the people that doubt I swear I was in the same postition as you, but I gave it a try and man I'm suprised in 18 days I lost 7 Kg. It's really amazing if you not sure about it just give it a try and you will se if it works on you! Believe in yourself!!
On day one I weigh 225lbs (102kg) started with 16/8, went on with keto-like feeding (no carbs, no processed food). Then as I felt better, went to WARRIOR DIET, stuck with no carbs no processed food. Last 15 days I'm on OMAD. It has been 7 weeks I weigh 190lbs (87kg). Cheat meals are a thing now, I indulge in burger, pizza slice, cake here and there, but I plan that in sense that I eat good day before and day after (good as in lots of greens, and quality piece of meat). Long story short, it's all about the discipline, it can be done. I was inanimate slob just 7 weeks ago.

This man is a gift from God. I'll start my fasting tomorrow after seeing a few videos from this channel. I'll come back with an update soon, I promised myself to do this for the better. I’m a 23 years old female that is struggling with losing weight. So glad I started looking for help and advice here on RUclips.
Good luck. I've lost 2 stone in 2 months via keto/IF and going to the gym. It is so worth it!
Get a slight caloric deficit..move your body you will lose weight it takes time
There is no magic diet, amount of fasting ie short term gains that last long term
We all fast from the time we go to bed til we have our first meal .
Which fasting method have you been doing and how is it going?

@@yoex9973 oops sorry idk what I was thinking?? And go strong still doing it tho??
I have been eating 1 meal a day and fasting, 18/6, since 2017. For the last 6 months I’ve cut sugar out my diet (not natural sugars) and cut out snacking etc. I work out 5 days a week as well. Since May 1st, I’ve been eating every 20-22 hours now..... Hard but my body looks and feels better. We are addicted to eating and eating poorly in our country. Knowledge and being mentally strong is the key to prolong life and happiness
Oozzie Halifa agree
im confused by this because i dont understand if i should schedule my workouts before i break my fast or my meal immediately after my work out? ive been using a preworkout on days that i feel sluggish or weak so i dont consume food for energy. can anyone help me out with this or is it more of trail and error?

@@oozziehalifa4435 so you are telling me you are not going to have cakes, cookies, sweets for the rest of your life ???
I don't Know why I find this more interesting, this my third day of intermittenting fast so wish me well
I can say that this type of eating is a life savior.
This is so true...the more you skip breakfast, the more you get used to this...subscribed
I have been doing IF with keto for 10 months and as of 4/20/2019 I am down 90 pounds. Intermittent fasting and keto works.

Can we drink water and coffee during the fast?
Ele Ven yes! You have to drink water. Coffee optional black nothing else added.
@@eleven9743 Drink Ginger tea(You can find recipe on youtube)..I lost 3kgs in 1 week with IF & ginger tea
How did you do that,
Heck yes I subscribed! This guy is genuine. no BS. He’s here to give you knowledge. And knowledge is the ultimate gains you can get!
Food diet chart pls
Great content thank you. Another benefit of the 16/8 is your stomach shrinks and it takes less food to feel full.
Hi, can I ask you a question? Can the fasting be done say I eat at 6pm and not eat until 10-11am that’s still 16 hours. Why do they say to eat until 8-9pm I thought eating that late was bad cause metabolism slows down
@@wilsncz7197 Yes any time as long as you have the 15-16 hours between.
True
Ever since I started the Keto diet I noticed that I started to eat less and get full much quicker and eating acv gummies help before meals also helped me eating less and not getting hungry for quite some time
It's not stomach shrink in a literal sense but yes because your insulin sensitivity increases you get fuller early.

I just cast your playlist all day while working from home, to keep my motivation up ! It's working so well !
Just so you know your weight fluctuates per day, you didn't lose 3.5 in two days
@@bigsmok269 - Yes, I actually did loose that amount in two days, and I'm completely aware of fluctuations. I'm actually an old timer that this, but thanks for attempting to pour your salt into my sugar.
@@gr8teagazr122 you're "an old timer at this" but youre fat enough to drop 3.5 pounds in two days. Makes sense.
@@gr8teagazr122 the most weight you should lose is at most 2LB a week. Unless your morbily obese you're at dangerous levels and will lose muscle.
You might have also lost a little bit of water but you did not lose fat
I am gonna do this for 2reasons,1to loose weight,2to save money.
For the past month I've been eating once a day at dinner and running 5 miles a day during ny fasted state. I've lost 11 pounds and feel better than I've ever felt. Another note I wouldn't call 5/2 or alternate day fasting at all, they are just low calorie diets
Here is an easy formula to calculate eating window for different start times. (start time +eating window)-12=window end time. Example: (9.00am + 6hrs)-12 = 3:00pm. Use .50 or .25 for half and quarter hour times. ex. 9:30 is use 9.5.
Started last week,it has been up an down. I tested my self...I gave myself one week of thinking, and now I'm on it.... I'm 110kg with 160cm high= simply overweight.... I've some medical reasons, but I dont want that to use as excuses... On top of that I started to swim. Hoping to see some results in 3 months.❤

Do you feel any headaches?

So its omad ?
I eat at 12 in the afternoon and then at 6 in the evening, been doing it for more than months but I have gained weight 😏.Then I realized I should aslo exercise
Are you a male and were you extremely overweight? That's a lot to lose in one month. Joaquin Phoenix lost 52 lbs in 2 months and practically starved himself to do Joker. Not safe for him.
Started IMF 2 years ago and have dropped over 50 lbs and kept it off! I can trend up at times of the years, but I just return to first principals and it comes off within 2 weeks!
Finally I can say something better instead of saying I'm broke 🤣

I started with that, but settled into OMAD with the occasional 48-72h fasts. I remember following a personal trainers advice of eating 6 times a day, and it was exhausting to always be preparing or eating food, especially with the training schedule (and of course your basic 9-5 job).

Thanks for saying it's a pattern and not a specific diet. I keep hearing how I should go keto and I am not going to go keto. I can't stand eating fat.
You sir are a genius and a godsend. Thank you so much for all the videos on your channel.
