People should be happy they're still updating a 10 year old game for the price they're asking. No DLCs, no bs monetization. Sure, they might take a bit but Indie Stone devs are definitely better than most. Game is still top tier. Can't please everyone.
@JP_LDN582 so you would rather have bugs and exploits to become features and never be fixed. We have moved from the times of fully released games where devs could never patch before. 90s baby here btw. Being young has nothing to do with the price of the game.
@@JP_LDN582 that's idiotic. PZ doesn't feel like a one-off game title so much as it feels like a game that's continually being rebuilt and added to in hopes to achieve the original game design goal: A realistic zombie apocalypse survival simulation. it's literally getting the same kind of treatment minecraft is getting, the way you're talking about it is foolish.
The game feels significantly better to play now. Insanely happy the game hasn't been abandoned and the devs actually give good updates fairly frequently.
I think they need to do some combination of chance to hit and chance to damage. Like I hate how I tend to miss shots that are SUPER close to my character, but I also hate not killing them as well. Why can't they just implement a distance nerf so that when the zombie is further, the chance to hit is lessened. Or something similar to the Helldivers 2 aiming system
A very nice change and tip I suggest to everyone. In the options menu under ''USER INTERFACE'' There is an option ''UI Rendering FPS'' Change this to and set it to 60+ (I have it 120) Its so much better. All UI's feel so much better and more smooth. I am not sure, but it also feels like some items and actions now happen faster. Again idk if its just me. But its world of improvements. Really great option to turn it up :D
About trees, both the bug from 42.1 and the fix on 42.1.1 worked instantly, I didn't travel, the just stopped dropping and fixed themselves as soon as the patch dropped. It'd be impossible to build since 90% of trees in urban areas are small and simply stopped dropping logs at all so, yeah, it was a bug and a fix, not on code but some stupid idea that was obviously not ok
there is a really broken bug in the game where if you craft a crude stone axe you can cut as many trees as you want with the "cut tree" option as no matter how much trees you cut, the axe does not get damaged at all.
My only experience is hunting quail as a kid, but you don't 'aim' as much when using a shotgun compared to a rifle or pistol. It was more about getting a good "feel" for the spread and learning to lead the target.
I like the new aiming system. Guns should be "end game" level gear and evidenced by playthroughs, can be used to clear thousands without sweating. Especially once you get level 2 aiming. It's far more realistic as well, trained soldiers are taught to shoot for center mass because it's the easiest to hit and getting headshots is extremely difficult especially on moving targets. However anyone could reliably hit center mass but that means nothing to a zombie. Chance to damage is just simulating an untrained person shooting a zombie that does not care until you manage to hit the brainstem.
Chance to damage makes no sense. If anything it should atleast weaken zombies, like a if you hit, it should simulate where. So if you hit in the knee, they have a chance to become a crawler or if you hit an arm, they have a shorter lunge range.
Why are there dicerolls on shooting mechanics just make a fucking cone that gets smaller with higher aim level so that even when you miss you might hit a zombie next to the target. You should be able to magdump into a huge crowd of Zombies even with low aim level and hit most shots. If i miss it should be because the bullet physically went past the target, not because it goes thru its head but it "dodged" like in an old school RPG. No wonder the military got overrun at the checkpoint missing at point blank range because of rng.
The developers sit around for years thinking of the most convoluted shooting mechanic and id rather player yours after hearing 1 sentence. they do act like they are reinventing the wheel. But missing a shot and seeing a zombie 10 feet behind drop would be amazing lmao
As a new player who has been no-lifing this for 3 weeks, i have only found 1 jar lid, 3 water purify tables and ZERO axes to chop down wood (i have found a couple hatchets). Is that a problem? Sounds like it😂
Bro play sandbox. The Apocalipse setting is way too punishing, to the point of not being fun. The loot tables are way too low. And about not finding axes, you're probably just looking in the wrong places.
Personally I think you should only get exp for each shot and not each pellet as you only aim once. Though it should award enough exp to not make it feel like a slog regardless of weapon.
Leveling Aiming is so bad already and now they fucked up the Shotgun XP gain too... well... guess there needs to be another mod made by the community because they sure as hell got a fetish for making the game a pain for their playerbase. I don't know why they'd do this. Ammo isn't that plentiful in vanilla. It really isn't. I hate how they make it almost mandatory to mod your game with their changes.
The shotgun exp was a borderline exploit. I view it as they fixed it by toning it down. They need to buff the others a bit though. You can craft ammo now iirc too. But I do agree they went overboard on reducing loot while simultaneously jacking up zombie numbers at key POIs
They also have to take into consideration multiplayer, which helps more serious communities avoid having people be litteral demi gods within a few weeks of grinding
I am sorry, but how tf you like the shooting system? Chance to damage is horrible. It makes no sense realism wise (no matter if say that damage to brain can kill a zombie), it makes no sense skill wise (might as well remove the shooting skill at that point) and its more frustrating than missing, because it makes zombies feel even more bullet sponge than they can already be.
You mustve tried it with aim 0. I just started as the police occupation and hit half my shots at aim level 3. The reticle is way better than the old system, which was boring. Needs to be tuned but it's a good change.
@governmentghost01 if you are talking about the chance to hit system, you are talking the same as me. Because i am saying that the chance to damage system is crap for the reasons i mentioned
Objectively wrong. Trained soldiers would struggle to hit consist headshots, especially on a moving target. An unskilled person could hit center mass but that means nothing to a zombie. As for training the skill, yeah the more you consistently shoot and hit the better your aim will be, shotguns are not good at training aim because they don't even really require it, most civilian shotguns have extremely simple iron sights because you're expected just to point it in the general right direction.
@@rafalstAh sorry, by hit I meant half my shots killed. The other half were just sponged. I like having a reticle but I think it needs tweaking for sure (for instance, the default reticle is crap and needs to be adjusted in options to be usable imo). You can still swap to the old aiming system in the sandbox options if you wanna use that while they iron out the new one too

That and the mods alone change everything aswell
id rather pay 1000 pound than wait my whole life for a completed game. you might be young but i doubt we'll get to play a complete PZ in our lifetime

Preach
Three patches, 42.2.0 out, devs cooking
🔥🔥🔥 hope for a release soon, can't wait to play with my friends on my server again

Found a really cool exterminator van parked at a house.

bouta abuse this glitch
Yes thats true!
Thanks for keeping us posted, buddy! Good video!
W patch
Haha, you're not keeping up. 42.2.0 came out the day this vid posted. And that's a goid sign!
My only experience is hunting quail as a kid, but you don't 'aim' as much when using a shotgun compared to a rifle or pistol. It was more about getting a good "feel" for the spread and learning to lead the target.
Yea, 42.2 right now. :)
How long do folk think it'll be before we get multiplayer? The recent updates has me wanting to start a server
Firearms are loud and dangerous to use while you stand still and aim. They should buff it more imho.

the speeding ticket is so so real
Dude these devs are on fire. Like, their fingers are on fire from all this coding.

Carpentry is a little bugged. I've placed the double tall wooden gate on a wall twice and after building it never showed up.
Same! Are you using mods? I was worried it was one of my mods screwing it up.
@eduardodiaz1662 i am, i have a few vehicle, weapon, and crafting mods enabled as well as some QOL mods
Its because the mats are near you when you give the order, but you then move to the building place amd dont have the mats.
@TheBrunobrogueira i had all mats on my person, and the second time I had all mats on the floor infront of the gate spot too.
Ooh, new stuff!

that sounds a lot better. if you could hit targets behind/next to your primary target on misses leveling wouldnt be such a huge pain.

Me who has never made it past a month happy about the patch notes
That's great and all but I can still stab zombies from Mars.
so basically less time on micro management and more time to combat crafting.
the new pushing bug is very annoying
Personally I think you should only get exp for each shot and not each pellet as you only aim once.

ahhh you're tackling the root of the problem... yeh we don't do that round here lol
Does killing a zombie still make a loud noise attracting everything around?
makes the game an absolute chore
TWO?
when I set my items as favorites they can no longer be broken and status is restored. Anyone with the same bug ? Or maybe its my mods.
This is good game .
when is multiplayer?
Yes, WHEN?
Tomorrow
@ you lie just to hurt our feeling 😢
Plumbing not yet fixed?

B42 are still a beta. They want to adjust and hear player opinions. I am sure they will adjust it until most of player feel acceptable.
OMG CAN PIPE
They fix the memory leak yet? Build 42 been unplayable since release for me
