8:35 The husband looked so confused. He discovered his neighbor is dead and why his wife was so concerned about their dead neighbor.
His wife was too invested and she knew too much information about someone else's husband and he never even questioned it. I love it, wonderful writing!
Yes so many red flags with her first one she ask herr husband do you think he plays around??😂😂
Then Stanley's wife says he wouldn't have anything to do with that silly glevatski.girl😂😂 and then Amelia mentions her name when she came to the basement😂😂
That mousy wife who would have thought 🤔
😢 Stanley
I don't get the bit about the candy Amelia is buying when the kids were away
no wonder she was so worried about whether his wife had killed him or not.
after going on about how he kept hitting her
I wonder if she thought he wouldn't start cheating on her as well after a few years......she was clearly lying to herself about the other girl they mentioned and all the others before....
🤣
@@agenttheater5 the wife killed him because he was abusing her and cheating on her
The actor who plays Stanley here is terrific in “Marty,” with Ernest Borgnine.
He received a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination for that role. Bit of trivia. In "The Birds", he was the traveling salesman in the diner who later gets killed when he unwittingly throws his lit match into a stream of gasoline right beneath him.
I wished these weren't so short because they're so good.
Because of the short lenght, I believe that is what makes these shows sooooo good.
Try Alfred Hitchcock Hour's. They are also good with ending twists. Occasionally there is one that is boring but generally worth your time. AH "Presents" are a little more intriguing though.
Aml Sept 15 2018 - You're probably right. Okay, so I wished there were more of them lol.
they movie has been edited to 10 minutes
It may be short but it's thick.
Wasn't expecting that ending!
Great writing & imagination. Especially for a short story.
That’s the charm of Hitchcock….. Surprise endings!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️♥️
So many of these stories end with the spouse getting killed when they announce that they are leaving. They should have kept their plans to themselves and just LEAVE. Let the lawyers work it out.
I know! Between that and people in horror movies who "escape" to the most dangerous places, I don't know who is dumber!
I love that the guy is standing there while his wife is being strangled !😂
lol
He's in shock because he didn't suspect his wife was one of the dead man's girlfriends.
LadyRachel Heath that's true; he was . he was broken down by that.
Plus, men innately enjoy "cat" fights.
Did you miss that the policeman was there. Hint, idiot husband in shock, policeman is preventing the strangling.
One of the most legendary endings of the whole series.
These actors are brilliant
They are
When I first saw this "Guilty Witness" I did not see that ending coming. I think I sat in my chair for a whole minute after it ended with my mouth open.
Me to🤯😱
Zoltan Korda AND THAT....IS THE GENIUS OF HITCHCOCK!👍🎥💖
Me too! Could not believe it.
Me too
Me I just fell out laughing because it reminded me of when I choked my sister when she tried to eat my 🍔, 🍟& 🍪 from McDonald's 😀July 22,2020
I love Hitchcock..
Best ending ever..
I laughed so hard when she started attacking her..
I didn't laugh, but I did love that ending! More like in shock, like the husband. 😮
And the other woman is thrashing her head around...!
😆👏 Right?
what is there to laugh about?! its not a funny movie..!!!.. Alfred did a good job at the ending✌🏽
"He never knew how to pack a bag" ... but she sure knew how to pack a buggy.
Thx for the LOL
😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
Another great Hitchcock ending.
James Andersom Ditto
The poor husband. He didn't have a clue.
The husband's expression of disbelief was worth a thousand words .
He was such a great Actor , I think he worked in thw movie Chinatown "1974 Nicholson , Dunaway.
And nominated for a best supporting actor Oscar for Marty.
Why was no stink (of the body) smelt by the cop when he entered the room ? I think despite the surprising excellent ending this is a major flaw. Wonder if any one could offer a clarification
Because that guy was a dummy!
Maybe because since it was the basement it was dark & cold enough that nothing was happening to the body...yet. I suppose, it's just one of those instances when you have to stretch your imagination and sense of logic a bit. I was so engrossed with where the story was headed, I had totally overlooked that detail.
ya gotta practice willful suspension of disbelief, it always works for me.
@@beverlychase3587 I thank you for your suggestion of "Willful suspension of disbelief"..English is not my first language so i looked up the phrase in wikipedia and have spent the last two hours trying to appreciate the topic, It has been a most pleasing study.....thanks once again.
Literal thinking rationalism should be left at the door when you enter the theater of the mind.Suspend disbelief.
I felt very bad for the husband
"Anything for the kids?" "Hell no, this is my me time. Do you see the brats around here dummy?"
Brilliant writing!!
When u eat oatmeal with a fork...
Talk about a twist
Hitchcocks and Twilight Zones had what were called back then 'water cooler endings' the kind that you talked about at the office the next day at the water cooler.
that's an interesting tidbit 🙂
Stanley's wife is oddly obsessed Mr Verber 😮
It is true that a short story is very difficult to unfold, it needs a talented writer/storyteller ! I like this laconic but comprehensive films, great job!
this is only part of the episode tho
@@KarmicSalt Τhanks, can I find the whole episode ?
This is a great episode. Better if the full version were uploaded.
Shanghai Benny II you can watch it on dailymotion
she goes on about him hitting his wife and then she.....
Trouble with these short ones is that we don't know who the actors are. Sometimes we know, but not always :(
Murderer is Judith Evelyn , then Joe mantell and Kathleen McGuire
“It’s none of our business” is the title of part one on Hitchcock presents. 😀 this is part 2
2:46: Did they have 911 back then? I only heard him dial three digits.
6:00: If there was a body there, that whole room would have reeked!
Karli in some areas if you made a local call you could just dial the last 3 or 4 digits of the phone number. I was thinking the same thing about the phone, lack of death smell and lack of blood. Those issues were probably too much for the audience back then, not like all the gore that’s viewed today.
@@summersojourner, good points.
@@karli9434 Maybe good points but still doesn't answer your question why body didn't stink up the area.🤔
@@spongebobandplanktonshould2920 maybe the basement was cold. Maybe people didn't know that much about dead bodies back then
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned!
Great episode; of course, to watch the ENTIRE episode, I have to drag out my Hitchcock DVDs. Also, it would be nice if the volume was above a whisper as it is now.
They are all on the peacock app
I love how as he’s realizing and contemplating the truth his wife is getting her azz kicked. 😂
THAT WAS SO DAM GOOD!!!
Devastating Ending that made perfect sense
Ummm, Alfred couldn't afford a spoon for the oatmeal?!🙄
There is companion episode to this. Part one. So now I've seen both parts and am impressed. But why not put "part 1" or " part 2" after the title?
"A" companion piece
First answer is right - companion, sans stupid useless a/an articles lol.
My goodness.. I didn't see that coming. 😳
That's why his wife was so concerned.. and the reason mrs, Verba didn't like her which also explains why she turned and looked at her husband in the store.
Man, such cases happen.
Long time ago, a fight took place in our neighborhood when I was just a little kid.. mom told me later it was a bitter fight between two ladies it was .. fighting over one man 🤭. He betrayed his wife with a widow that lived about 7 houses from them and she had kids. Said the wife found a shoe in her husband's car and she recognised it. Dad, a late lieutenant got in between to stop the nuisance going and the whole thing had gotten over later on with the married couple moving out our neighborhood not being able to cope with shame. As for the widow.. she tried to make peace with wives of the neighborhood inviting them over to her house for tea time every afternoon. Many years after, after I moved out and back in that they moved out selling their house and shortly after we learned she passed away.
Talk r.e.a.l.i.t.y... 😑
I wonder if any of the wives ever went over there for tea ..I can see one going there as a scout maybe 🤔
Wonderful story! Thank you!
Good one
Wonderful, Typical Hitchcock; Gotta love it!!!
I didn't see what was the purpose of the wife's involvement with the other couple
What a twist!!!!!
lol poor guy. 8:32
what is that slop that she gave him a fork to eat
Haha..great finale!
I would have loved to see what happens next!
she almost looks like Judith Light.
Well done!
rubber baby buggy bumpers
He must have been a pretty small man to be able to fit in a baby carriage!
That is exactly why I don't trust no one
Loved it ❤ plot twists
what was that she served her husband.? yucks
Scrapel i agree 😝
Jesse James I think it was oatmeal that she slapped on the plate L😃L August 18, 2019

Porridge?
Prison slops?
I think Miranda Rights
should be stated before “What Happened That Night.”
How did they not smell the corpse before they found him?
Thank God I'm single!🙃
Sound is too low 😒
Best show
Wow!
Alfred Hitchcock presents really gave The Twilight Zone the run for its money. But Hitchcock's subject matters were more of the psychological and human condition.
Loved these reruns growing up, often convinced my parents to let me stayed up a little later for them.
Not to mention that the whole show ran for 10 seasons with countless classic episodes.
How did she know where his parents live?
The first clue that hints towards the revelation.
Who the hell eats oatmeal with a fork.
Lynda White ...depends on how thick it is....lol
No that’s not gonna work Iv never seen anyone ear oatmeal with a fork at least in 63 years on the planet. Lol
@@LyndaWhite-ju1gj well you know on tv anything's possible / especially on the Alfred Hitchcock show & Rod Serling's Twilight Zone. L😀L 📺& 📺 5 -3 -19
Sheila Davis LoL Your right Sheila anything is possible on those two shows.
If it's too thick you can cut it with a knife.
What is the name of this chapter or what season is it?
Guilty Witness I believe season 1.
Excellent ending.
Full episodes at Public Domain TV. These edited episodes really are the main parts & tell the whole story. They cut out the Credits & Extras.
I feel that these are not full features. They seem to be cut in half. Just sayin
They are. Probably the only way they can put them on. But they have the other half on here. For this one it would be the first part.
PLOT. TWIIIIIIISSSSSTTTTTTTTT!!!!!! 😂 😂 😂
what movie is this called
It's an episode from the Alfred Hitchcock Hour
Alfred Hitchcock Presents Guilty Witness.
She's sickening!!!
Why are these so short?
So, who should have killed who instead? The wife of the deceased should have killed the cheating wife??
she's saying she should have killed the woman who 'stole' her husband from her, kept him longer than all the other ones and for whom he'd abandon his own children. Bad enough he should leave her, but for him to leave their kids as well?
Yes
Mona, from ALL MY CHILDREN.
Are these episodes vignettes?
I guess she was cheating because he wouldn't eat her oatmeal properly...figuratively and literally.
After three days the body would not only have become smelly, it would have been dripping onto the floor abundantly. It wouldn't have been too difficult to find it.
This is where reality TV got its ideas!
Mrs Blavatsky????
A bead body in a basement till fall? Hahaha….only in the movies…🤢🤮 stinky……
is that Jack Kerouac?
It's not a sweet tooth trying to keep sugars up and trying to put weight on .
Hm hm emmm
Too short and banal story , evryday It happens around the world : betray and murder, somebody must die
