Wow your styling when you got them home was awesome. That black and white dress. It was amazing how you looked dress up to the nines then made it look casual.
The 'Wonder Woman' outfit change manoeuvre was delightfully original during your final styling presentation; a very creative editing technique, Jen. Well done, on the time and effort you put into your styling presentation to conclude this video. It does take considerable time and effort to put together such a presentation. Sharing the various diverse styling options for each purchased item, is sure to inspire others to consider a little more the positive possibilities that thrifted items can actually offer us all. Well done, Jen.
Oh what fun going shopping! Nice selection of clothes that compliments you. You definitely know how to take clothes and make it look stunning. Great video, thanks.
With City Chic clothes, a medium is a size 18. It is a plus size brand so you need to go for a xs for anything to fit. I noticed they put it on the standard sizing rack. Loved the thrift shopping video and hope to see more
Great tips for shopping... Any kind, not just thrift. And I admire how you know your body and preferred style. You'd be trying on things that I thought looked pretty good and you'd comment how it wasn't working (fit, line, colour), then you'd put on something that you did like and I'd think, "oh yes, so much better." I need to make some time to go thrifting when I don't have kids in tow, so I can invest in digging and trying on. /Lesley
It helps to be non critical of your own body, and to realise it's the garment that doesn't suit you and not that your body is "wrong" as advertising / society would have you believe ;)
If it's not too far out of your way you could do a day trip to Whanganui the Save Mart there is incredible. We use to live there and I loved it. I've compared it to the 2 Save Marts here in Tauranga and it's even better than these ones!
Wish we had large warehouse style secondhand shops here. We have one near us but it’s mainly filled with furniture, the clothes section is tiny. Going in and out of charity shops with a big pushchair is a nightmare. You found some lovely bits
The next time you go to Kmart can you bring us along and do another video similar to this one. I loved this whole video and I am always amazed by your Kmart hauls. In the US Kmart went out of business I think your Kmart's must be better than the ones we had here.
Love the boots and the black dress! That short sleeved pinkish dress kind of looked like a nightgown. No no no to the boxed leg shorts. You have great legs and need a much tighter legged short. Being just 5'1" I have to be careful of boxed shaped shirts, shorts cause well i'd just look like a walking box. haha
When I worked in retail we had to take home so many white clothing to hand wash. It was so annoying! We used to have scarfs in the fitting rooms but woman never wore them to protect the clothing. Some of the woman were professional woman as well! I have not been to SaveMart since high school!
I prefer the term ‘thrifted’ than our ‘charity shop’ over here. Do you wash the garments again before wearing Jen? Whatever they use here to clean/proof them for the shop always smells rather musty. Loved your purchases and the montage.
My favorites are the dress, the black boots and everything with the Moto jacket. These will look also good with a particularl pair of sunglasses you have (reminds me of Kris Jenner/Kardashian) when you wear them. Speaking of Kris Jenner.... I think your hair would style easily and look awesome like hers as well. Grant sure won the jack pot lottery when he found such a beautiful wife.

Super cute! You made some excellent choices and the montage with the music was lovely. Thank you for sharing! 🤩
Thank you :)

I loved to see how you styled those clothes. You are so stylish, Jen! Seriously. Now you've made me want to go out and get some shopping done.
Aw thank you x
Love how you styled your thrift finds!
Thank you :)
Fantastic to watch.

Fun video. My favorite outfit were the skinny jeans tucked into the black boots with the white top and moto jacket.
Thank you :)
That was such a fun video. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it :)

Ooh, I didn't even know there was one there! Stay tuned for another video like this ...

You found some lovely bits
It's definitely not easy with kids!
Ah man, wish we had a place like that here in CPT. I love your style, and really enjoyed the "showing" at the end, spinning into your next outfit 😄
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it :)
That was her wonder woman impression,. {8-)
Great styling. Loved the montage.😊
Thank you :)
I thought ALL the dresses looked great on you but I can definitely relate with your reasons for not getting some of those things!
Thank you x

My nearest Kmart is 2 hours away so I usually shop online with them when I need bits, but if I do visit one I'll be sure to take you along.

Love it! It's nice to feel good in some fresh clothes😁
Oh such a great haul. Loved the end montage/looks. :)
Thank you!
Love the rock chick look x

Wow you got some good buys!
So frustrating when people can't use common sense when trying on clothing. Love a good SaveMart rummage, I always come out with something good!

I definitely wash everything before wearing! I know exactly the smell you're talking about and I'm not a fan.

Strange seeing a George from Asda (UK) jacket over there 😉
Btw you got some great buys that's for sure!
It takes a few hours but it's worth it :)
I disagree. You look great in the size 12😊
Hoekom noem hul dit thrift?
Dit is nou 'n puik video ❤
I use it as it's a term most people understand - basically just second hand clothes.
can you be my friend so we can go thrift shopping together ;( I just love how you styled it
That would be fun :)
