Believe it or not but I used to be a RUclipsr. I had nearly 400,000 subscribers. The same thing happened to me, however they hacked everything and managed to delete every video I uploaded, every photo I'd posted, everything. They deleted my Google account and everything else went with it. Luckily for you, you noticed quick enough and got it sorted, I slept right through it happening. I've never came back from it, and I never will. Well done to you for beating these horrid people.

Fun fact: 2 step verification using SMS is the worst protection, second only to just using a password alone.
Couple of helpful tips:
- Use authenticator apps for 2fa
- Use a trusted password storage app that features an automated password changer. Change all your passwords to random characters and 24 characters minimum.
Nothing you can do is 100% hack proof, but you can certainly put off hackers who will move along to easier targets.

I got my Gmail and (old) RUclips channel hacked and terminated. I couldn't get it/them back because whenever I sent a verification, it would send it to my main Gmail account -- (they hacked it). It's still hacked to this day. Activity is still being sent on it.

The same thing happened to me this summer. And I lost everything. I tried everything and couldn't find my old Instagram account back. And my email was alleged hacked as well. I got phone call from my bank saying that there was unauthorized transactions. It was the scariest thing I've ever been through.
