I installed these yesterday. I finished and the right blinker was hyper flashing then stopped. I had Amber DRL and no sequential turn. At 13:30 pay close attention. I didn't connect the correct plug together and just plugged directly into the 3157 halogen. Anyway, once you disconnect and make the right connection you will get the White LED DRL and the sequential turn. The Amber bulb works and does not hyperflash. Great video!
I'm glad I found your video. That little yellow connector that alpharex tells you not to use, is one that you need to use. That's what allows for the start up sequence
So if I’m already tying into the ignition with my grill raptor lights, where do I tie them in? I really like those lights. Looks great and I put a black grill on my silver sequoia so the black grill needs more black on the front to blend in.
I just came to see what they looked like after a deer took out my stock one. I know its a couple years later n i didn't finish vid, but did you fix the cross threaded bolts holding the lights or did they hold up bouncing around?
It holds well. Reason being is the plastic bit was the part that was cross threaded so a new bolt went in and stayed in. Easy peezy. Also really good lights after all these years.
You didn’t experience hyper flashing at all? At first I only had it on my passenger side & my driver blinker worked fine but now they both have hyper flashing.
I bought and installed these lights, thank you for sending me the links! The wires seem pretty cheap and the negative wire is making the lights turn on and off. Bad connection. Did you have this problem? I tried all the simple solutions, cleaning the connection point, new battery.
@@CoolGuyClub I messaged them and they are sending out a new harness. I sent them pictures and video and they indicated it’s a bad harness. I was watching this video back and was like “I did everything he did, WTH!!!” lol 😂
Ive seen that these can suffer from condensation or water leaking in. Have you experienced this? If so, how long did it take before that happened? How did you gix them if so?
Just bought a set of these for my 2012 tundra limited. Are you using the added drl harness or just running the headlights connected to your stock bulb harnesses. Upon using the harness, I’m having issues with the drl colours. Driver amber passenger white. The instructions on the site are somewhat vague and with multiple harnesses on the headlight, I’d love some advice/insight.
@@CoolGuyClub thanks for the reply! Yeah t ended up being an issue with the harness itself. All is well now and functioning. They really modernized the look of Tundra! Especially w my bronze te37’s and 35’s Still on the fence about what to do about an Apple car play screen upgrade. As the factory JBL sub and amp limit my options for which brand and peripherals work together. UCA / LCA’s and LCA’s are next on the diy list first though. 🤙 Have a great week
What wheel set up are you running? I'm trying to get a set but lost about the offset I should get. Gen 2 sequoia but I have the Platinum with factory wheel flares so I'd like the tire to sit flush with the flares
I just bought these headlights for my ‘10 Sequoia (newly bought after watching your vids). You mentioned you switched out the bulbs, which specific LEDs did you get?
So do yours have the "level adjuster"? The ones in the link say they do not. The ones that do are almost double the price. What is this level adjuster? Am I not able to aim the lights up and down?
yep they bolt up. you just need the modern trim pieces below to match the headlights. and may need to get them painted to match your vehicle. lots of people have even done this mod on their 07-13 tundras aswell as their the same front ends as the sequoia. can find all the info and tips on tundra forums or sequoia forums.
I am finding wherever I can to report how terrible Alpha rex products are and their customer service. I had a set purchased for a toyota. Impossible to level them from the install and they did not want to help. Always the customers fault. I then had an issue that everyone kept flashing me and I later discovered the lights were constantly changing brightness on their own. shortly after that, they filled up with so much condensation that it looked like someone poured water into them. The units are not even a year old. I have been trying to work with Alpha Rex for months now and they keep telling me they are looking into it if I can ever get them to respond. Makes it impossible to drive your vehicle when the lights don’t work and there is no concern from the company to address. Absolutely horrible customer service.
Great perspective. Thank you for letting the world know. I purchased these for a reason so people could get all the facts and not another sponsored youtube video.

That truck is really transforming nicely!! 😎👍
Thank you!!! Slowly but surely.
Nice having someone making vids of their sequoia in WA 👍
Thank you! The narrow trails here hate the sequoia but it’s still been a great rig to us.
@@CoolGuyClub The sequoia is a thicc boy forsure for the trails 😂
Those turn signals are sick! Great look 🎉
how did they headlights hold up? Or do you recommend a different brand? Do you know much about the vlands or morimotos?
They have held up really well. Zero issues whatsoever. And I live in a state with horrible weather

Splice the wire

The quick ones are always the best ones
Big facts!
You didn’t experience hyper flashing at all? At first I only had it on my passenger side & my driver blinker worked fine but now they both have hyper flashing.
No hyper flashing. The key for me was a blinker bulb with the right resistance
@@CoolGuyClub so, if I install an led blinker bulb, I will have the hyper flash? Thoughts?
@@mwhite5330 Yes you'll have hyper flash. To solve this you'll need a turn signal relay that's compatible with LED's
@@ljshoreslokal 10-4, thank you sir!!!
I feel you on wiring harness… why can’t the harness already be wired and ready?
Right? it makes no sense. Just have it go through the light connection like OEM does.
how have they held up so far? been in the debate of these or morimotos for almost a year. these are half the price of morimoto and look great
So far, the weather here has been absolutely the worst and the headlights have actually held up well. Im surprised by how well they are doing
hi bro how much you paid for new lights
It's nice , how much is it going for?

I haven't had any issues with them at all. I totally agree with you on the cheap jumper harness, I wonder if you have a bad connection in the box.

Zero condensation and I live in the wettest state in the US

Sitting flush with flares will be perfect for the titan 7 t ak1 17 inch wheels. They make forged wheels that are affordable so you’re in good hands

Here you go: eliteracefab.com/products/alpharex-07-13-toyota-tundra-08-17-toyota-sequoia-g2-pro-series-projector-headlights-alpha-black
That’s a halogen projector, not LED.
Man, I hate those stupid cheap wiring harnesses too. It’s like making a mock-up to test if everything works, then make it look intentional and ship it
Yeah it's a buzz kill when you drop $500 for headlights.

Thanks so much
