One thing I love about Tolkien's universe is that it was so consistent, so malleable that others could work with it too. One can learn much by traversing the lands of Middle Earth, even if only through the eyes of another character.

Having now watched Gav's studio video on mixing and layering none of his songs are the same. I keep noticing where the number of voices change, and getting clearer hints of the different instruments. These songs are really impressive.

Gav really likes to include references into his previous songs in the same universe. Some are more subtle than the others.
See, for example, his Bioshock, Assassin's Creed and Batman songs.
That's one of my favourite things about MoS!
And "The Call" for The Elder Scrolls Online has a melody from "Nord Mead" for Skyrim in it.

This song just made me realise, do Talion's weapons symbolise the holy trinity..? Dagger of the son, sword of the father and bow of the spirit? (Granted, it's not a holy spirit, but still).
He could represent god before he saw noah. Before talion met the people of the sea of numen everyone he saw in mordor was cruel and wicked so his plan kill everything. Before god saw noah he was just gonna let everything die however he realized there was some good in the world and spared noah and his family
Ethan Rae That is a very good point. After Talion reaches the sea he begins to enlist orcs, almost as if he's converting them to his faith. The newfound faith given to him by the queen (representing Noah) as God (Talion) realises that the orcs (human race) can have some belief towards Talion's power and use it for good. I might have to enlist MatPat here...

Yup most people were pretty skeptical, so when the game didn't turn out to be shit it was well received. Seems hype results in disappointment this year. Watch_doge and Destiny were hyped to oblivion and ended up being average.

Just 100%ed this game and now I find this music video is a nice edition to that victory.
Finished it too, and I got to ask, what did you think of the end? Personally I hated it, not going into further details to avoid spoiling, and thought it was a lousy ending for such a great game.
Andrew Day In my own opinion i fell like the ending may have been a set up for a possible sequel or a future dlc. The game's season pass was announced early so maybe they intend to do more with it in dlc or ran out of time.
I will agree the ending was a let down but i wouldn't mind a sequel as long as they refine a few things (like the ending), I think it would make a good trilogy.
I feel like they could have worked on the bosses in general.

I think the final boss was a terrible fight(space, space, e, left click. Just did the final boss.). Final bosses are supposed to be an accumulation of everything you've learned playing the game, or a great narrative piece, or something significant. But really the ending was "You killed the black hand! Yay!".

That opening shot is just freaking stunning. And it goes perfectly with this song. Hell, I'll be honest, everything Gav the Mighty does goes well with just about anything.
When I listen to a song for the first time, I'm never able to like it on spot, but your music is so much different... I love every single song you've made, can't define why.

So glad you enjoyed the game enough to make a song of it. Loved this game way more than I expected I would, was a bit skeptical because I'm one of those lore guys, so I didn't go in expecting to enjoy it, however I can say I liked it enough as its own story to put the "canon" issues behind me, and just enjoy the game. In fact, when I heard the opening to this song, wasn't sure I was going to enjoy it, so its kind of cool that you've managed to capture what the game did to me where I enjoyed it more than I expected. Also that link to the hobbit song, without making it the exact same lyrics made this feel such a great song.

Game was fun for me cause I like having the opportunity to fight a huge amount of enemies all at once without being too overpowered. It gets the gamer blood flowing, like this song.

+TheRumChum +Seier krigføring I wish there WERE more main quests tho… fighting Uruks, Uruk Captains, and Uruk Warchiefs gets old after a while when u have everything unlocked and ur steamrolling over entire armies singlehandedly in open combat.. I sometimes just went into a stronghold and deliberately get the alarm raised just to make the fight a bit more fair and more enjoyable... I actually made a new Xbox 360 profile JUST to play the game again cuz with my original profile I was the most OP thing in Mordor... it gets old after a while being the Saitama of Lord of the Rings. XD

Replaying this for the second time only makes me want to buy the game (And the song) even more.
It is a very fun game I suggest renting it if you want to give it a taste (if that is still a thing these days.....) however I hear last gen doesn't have the nemesis system fully implemented which is probably the best part of the game even though it is a tad simple at times

You have a very Turisas kind of sound to this. Its not a bad thing, just saying it more for a point of reference to this. Battle Anthem really fits this, and its a nice song to kick back to.
