Great episode 👍. If Chris has anything to do with it then it will be Beer Salt 😃👍
Is it a level teaspoon or a heaped teaspoon? Liquid must be level or it spills. Generous loving cooks can heap 3 spoonfuls of powder or solids in one go. 🥰😍😘❤️ Great demonstration of a recipe worth trying. 👍👍👍
Great video. My friend is always saying how good Hangar O is. I must go and stay as its not far from me.
Teriffic episode. Still trying to figure out if Sian is left or right handed, as she was able to switch her knife and fork at the dinner table. Very clever.
Chili Lime Salt.
My favorite go to camp meal is T-bone steak, mushroom sauce with asparagus, marinade the steak in a stack of chili and spice blends that you prefer, chopped mushrooms, brown and fields in cream, flambe the steak in brandy like a traditional pepper steak, finish the steak on the grill max heat, boil the asparagus to top it off, Not very complicated but yummo.
Yum!! This is even keto spec 👌
I will be checking out your web page for this recipe.
Hey Chris, where were you cheffing at mate, love to see some of those skills in action.
Loved the cooking class wondering what new saucepans do you have please
We stayed there at Easter in the exact same spot as you guys. Booked for 4 nights stayed for 2… We where in an expanda at the time and the highway and train noise of a night was horrendous, it was like sleeping on the M1 lol
Would have been a great place if it wasn’t for that. We had family’s in full vans like yours and they didn’t find the noise to bad but everyone in anything less left after the second night lol
Chris try the Gyeon tyre shine, you will be stoked!! You have to use an applicator to apply it
I am new to your RUclips series. Have just received my first Y62 series 5 so hope it is as good as you say.
I am going to go with Chilli Salt.
Salt and truffle or salt and onion ?
If ya had time 😂Maybe sticky tape the skewers to the board looks yummy 😁👍🏾
That’s a good idea! Hindsight it’s a great thing hey lol 😂
Jaydah is such a darling, such a wonderful kid. Definitely my favourite
Please can you advise where you purchased to roof mounted paper towel holder?
Definitely need to check out Hangar O before we leave!
You definitely do, it’s a great spot and so close to you too!
Ok. A meat rub style salt, Texan style? I feel I should know this!!!
Someone mentioned a gin infused salt. Hmmm 🤔 that sounds on the money 💰
My go to favorite camping recipe is T-bone steak, mushroom sauce and asparagus, marinade the steaks in loads of chili and spices you like, flambe the steak with brandy and finish on the grill, chopped shrooms, field and browns in cream salt and garlic, boil asparagus to top, hot chips optional. I like to use the spice packets you get in the new El Paso burrito kits, I tend to have them left over. yummmm
my hands aren't double jointed i have only got one and a half thumbs
Those potatoes were next level! Did you know grated cheese has something added to it to stop the cheese sticking together. I only grate my own now. Can’t wait to see all the new recipes. Cheers
Great to see the new van working out well. Not sure about the long cooking segment. Wondering how you decide which comments you reply to. Travel safe and Enjoy 👍🏼🇦🇺
We don’t choose comments to reply to with any specific formula, depends when I’m on and get a chance to see them. Thanks for tuning in. Agree the cooking was a bit long, won’t happen again we were just too enthusiastic that day 😁
Hi just wondering what the tare ended up being on the Zone please?
hmm Nostamini for the spice?
Onions yes yes yes all types and sizes
Savoury Mashed Potato. - Boil required amount of potatoes and mash with milk and butter. Add grated carrot and chopped shallots. Add a couple of tablespoons of the mayonnaise to get required taste, adjust as needed. Using any other mayonnaise won't give the right taste. ** Condensed Milk Mayonnaise - 1 x 400 g can Nestle Sweetened condensed milk, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 cup of vinegar, 2 teaspoons dry mustard. Mix all ingredients and stir till mixture thickens. Keeps for weeks in the fridge.
Great episode. Love the the recipes idea. Looks like an amazing place to stay. It's funny now hearing you say that the life on the road is now your normal and not being stuck in one spot. Well done guys for having the courage to live your dreams. 👍👍👍
Great to see a bit cooking In episode 👌 great episode guys 👍
Thanks Martin 🥰
pepperberry ?
Fantastic episode as usual. Loved the cooking segment, love your chemistry. Hangar O is not far from home n friends of ours are getting married there soon.
Fluffy pancakes combine in a bowl 2 cups SR flour, 1/4 cup sugar. Mix 1 egg with 2 tsp Vanilla essence n 1/2 cup Greek Yoghurt.
Mix dry ingredients with 1 cup of milk gradually then add Yoghurt mix. Should be between double cream and whipping cream consistency. The important part is rest for 20 minutes then cook with a generous amount of butter.
Enjoy, message me for more recipes if you want/need
Big bang all the way 👍🏻🍻🫶🏻
Great episode guys, lots of hints and tips. Cheers
Thanks Brentan! 😁😁
Garlic spud, easy as, peel spuds, slice, grated cheese, herb and garlic salt, 300 ml of cream….. layer spuds/garlic salt/cheese until finished…. Cover with foil paper bake at 180* for 45 mins or so, uncover and cook further 10 mins….enjoy 🤤
My hubby says ungyions too!
A lot of people do hey!! I always give Chris a hard time for it lol
Great episode, love the cooking element and looking forward to more of it.
Yellow tongue from the hardware makes very good kitchen spacers. Good for biscuit and pastry as well as a cutting guide.
Oh good to know I’ll have to have a look :)
Loved the cooking segment with a warts and all approach. Was good seeing that everyday isn't going to bucket list destinations. That Roadtrips are often just enjoying the simple things. Sian I can bend my fingers back too but i can also over extend wrists, elbows and knees.
The simple things are sometimes where the fondest memories occur 🥰🥰 thanks for tuning in my fellow bendy finger friend 🫶🏼
Maybe chicken salt, it's big in SA.Great episode thanks guys.
Tomahawk Tuesday!!! Meat on a plate. Large! No sides!
Carnivore MD approved 👌👌
Well. That was an interesting interaction 😅
How hard is it to cook when your partner is a chef 👨🍳 well done Sian. Even with your funny fingers you are amazing 😻 and Chris is allowed to be a bit sensitive sometimes 😊 we males are only as human as the rest of y’all 😉 we have our moments too 🤗🤙🦆
When I first met Chris I was so worried about my cooking skills in comparison 😂 nowadays he gets what he’s given and if he doesn’t like it he can make his own 😜👊🏻
Men have periods too I’m sure of it! That day was one of those days, we just live each other through it and it passes 🫶🏼
That’s the way Sian 👊 🏀 🏀 😂 love conquers all 🤗
Love the oil container idea. Will definitely get one to add to our camp kit. Thanks! Is the salt truffle salt? Just my guess 😊
Best spud meal… I would add chilli😍
What an Awsome place …. Gr8 ep too 🤙🍻
quandong salt 🤔
Omg that avocado hack!!! Trying that tomorrow 😊
Life saving hey!!!
You have hypermobile joints which allows your joints to flex further and in other directions than normal. You still have the same number of joints as everyone else. Not double jointed.
Double jointed aka layman terms so people know what I’m even talking about 🤷🏼♀️😂 colloquialisms are often easier 😁😜
Ooh if you do the same hasselback cuts, then flip the potato over and do the same slices but at a 45degree angle, you can stretch them out like a slinky on a skewer and they turn out like this spiral potato’s you can buy at the show etc. sooooo good!
Also- 100% will be a pork rub
That’s a great guess for the salt 🧂👌🏻
Love the slinky idea too, that would take some precision though!!
Lemon salt
My god.. You made me bloody hungry 😂😂🤦♀️🤦♀️
🙈🙈
Hi Guys, query from your prior post re upgrades to your Patrol, do you tow with a WDH or do you find air bags are sufficient Also side mirrors ?
No WDH, they don’t work with a DO35 hitch as i understand. Upgraded springs and airbags are sufficient. We use Melinco towing mirrors. We want the MSA ones but waiting until you can put the 360° camera in them (not yet released)
@@BigOzExplorers yes they work with a DO 35 as i used in my previous LC 200 I believe will also work with Fastaway E 2 system which appears more lite than Hayman On various forums some people like and others dont so good to get an opinion from someone who tows a lot
Your dinner looked amazing keen to try it
Very good episode, we are glad you all enjoyed your hasselback's. Great to see you on your travels . Take care and we will contact you on our arrival. Love the Leg ends. xx
Thanks guys! Safe travels next week 🥰🥰
Lavender
Great spot there guys. Love the boopers. Funny. 😊
Hey Guys
Another great episode the cooking segments are a winner. We’re so excited today we head off on our first 3 month adventure. With no real plan ( but to head north 1st stop Copeton dam and then who knows).
Cheers Rod&natasha
Oh that’s exciting!! I hope you have the most amazing time!! 🥰🥰
Such a amazing property we are lucky enough to stay there such amazing owners there.
So good to see you guys there I know they have had a bad experience with previous you tubers
Yes yes they have! Which was such a shame to hear, it’s anything but bad 😍😍 glad you’ve been and know too, the owners are just great and what they have is awesome for travellers 😍
OMG, your voice just activated my Siri and set a timer for 45mins. Freaky. 😂
Soooo… we must sound the same then? 🤣
Love your episode Love having you guys back! with regards to "the 5th Season" flavour I think it will be a Gin infused kind of salt.
😲😲 that does sound amazing 🤤
You guys put so much fun into your videos, it’s great, I sent a email with a recipe for you to try. Cheers Judy
Thank you 😊 🙏🏻
Looks like you guys had a few gins during the cooking class good to see a relaxed episode 😂Rob
Only a couple lol!! 😂 🥂
Well done - enjoyed cheers 🍻
Thanks Mark! 🥰
I put slice cheese and bacon between my potatoes with white sauce
Yummmm that would be amazing!!
Have you tried smoked salt?.?
We have a smoked salt on board, it’s good!! 😍😍
Diced bacon would be great in those potatoes
Yes yummmm!
Great 👍 love the cooking, being on the Rd is about eating well and the day to day… now to work out how the send my plum shank recipe
Ohhh Chris’s mouth is already watering! Bigozexplorers@gmail.com 🥰👏🏻
Sent… oh it’s actually Plum Port Shanks. Deglazed with brandy 😉
@@meandering_wombat thank you!! 🥰
My fingers do the bending the wrong way when you put pressure on them. Its very frustrating at times when you are trying to press something down.
It can be super annoying and when you least need it hey!!
Lemon Myrtle for the salt !
Good guess 😁👍🏻
I see you like cooking with Gin, do you ever put it in the food?
That would be a waste! 😲😜
Aussie bush spices?
Ohhh good guess!! 👏🏻
@@BigOzExplorers am I right though?
@@markedwards1009 even if you are, we can’t share it *just* yet 🤫 😉
@@BigOzExplorers it was just that i found them one's in the spice rack at woolies and there so hard to find. But so tasty.
Did you guys use the new Ziggy that’s compliant with the new gas laws and gas bayonets on vans? Sadly webers and ziggys can’t be plugged in anymore without a flame failure device
We have one on order we just have to get to the store and pick it up! We’ve known the regulations for years now but it’s only come to light for many recently now a bbq is out that meets regulations 😊
Hello chris sian and your 2 loverly kids we have a 25ft road going caravan and we see most are travelling with off road vans, will we still get to see a lot with just the road going van or should we look at upgrading to off road, thank you
Hey Scott, you will still be able to see plenty of things! You will be restricted in some ways but others you’ll be able to go to as well as long as you travel slowly… even if you can look at a semi off-road set up, it is a great investment for the Australian terrain 🙌🏻
Did we hear at the end there about you maybe getting MARRIED there???
🤔 😄 😃
Hey?? I must of even missed that?! Lol
Great episode
loving the cooking tips
Also good to see use travelling showing us things to do in each area
Thanks Michelle 🥰
Great work guys, love it.
Thank you!
Sorry guys you have lost us. Not interested in a cooking show. 😢
Yeah it went for a long time this time, we were keen to record again after having a break. It’ll be shorter next time! A short ‘segment’ 🥰
Have to agree kinda lost your way with this ep. The first 40mins could of been edited to 10min, last 10 mins was about the locations which was ok.
Havnt lost me yet . Look forward to the next video
Too much cooking for me. But keep on travelling.
Love it. Thanks 👍 2 amazing tricks - avocado cutting will never be the same again !! And the oil sprayers- I'm off to buy very soon. 😀
Yay, that’s awesome. Glad we could help 🥰👏🏻
Shhhh don’t tell everybody but let me know what your new internet secret is, I won’t tell honest,,,,,
😜😜
Come on blooper coping??🙄 you're starting to sound like Justin from TIAV.
Never forget how you guys started 2 yrs ago.
The difference is we’re having a laugh and don’t actually mean it in a meanacing way like said channel and I’m willing to discuss it with you and not delete your comment 😉 we’ve always encouraged RUclipsrs and newbies to have a go but seriously, there is a trend there 😜 We know exactly where we’re from, Logan lol 😂, and we’re more grounded that most 😜👍🏻 don’t over think it, were joking around just like we do with many things in conversation ☺️🫶🏼
congrats on #147 on trending 🏞️🤙😎🛻📹
Oh really?! That’s awesome if so! 😁👏🏻
