I love your straight-forward, no nonsense style. It is so nice to see a professional present real cooking with successful results and not hide the fact that mistakes are also a part of the experiience. You channel immediately became one of my favorites. Thank you.
@@TheSaltedPepper We will be growing a ton of beets this year and it’s always good to have an extra added recipe! Thanks for the video! I’ve been subscribed for a long time but I don’t comment much!😊
Just bought the newest 8 qt 14 & 1 air fryer...love it!....I have tried many of your recipes, there excellent..easy to follow ...Can you do a BEEF STROGANOFF video?
I sure like your talking of what is what. By opening lid quiet often, that does hinder the cooking time, so should the time on fryer be increased? I love beets. ❣️
Personally, I like the ones where you lift the bowl instead of the neck. However, what's really important is that you choose one that has the power to do what you want it to do. If you do big batches of cookies and things, go with this one: amzn.to/3iLBNMG (I have had this one for 15 years and it's still a work horse. If you are okay with a smaller one that still has enough power, this is the one I use on videos: amzn.to/3Lsj30W
No matter what kind of beet chips you want to make, it's best to par cook them. You won't get the result you want if you don't. That goes for dehydrating beets for reconstitution later.
Keep the beet greens they are full of vitamins and minerals and are delicious some what like spinach.
These didn't come with them unfortunately! I love beet greens though.
I agree!
Can the greens be used raw in smoothies?
@@Jane_1776 Yes beet green can be eaten raw good substitute for spinach, bokchoy.

@@TheSaltedPepper thanks so much! can't wait....
I only like pickled beets on a salad but I might have to try this....I am kind of a chip snob but these look tasty. The blonde is back.👍

I happen to find a can of shoestring beets in my pantry, so I’m trying this now
Can you recommend which Kitchenaid stand mixer is a good one. So many to choose from. Thank you.

Those look fab. How long can you store them without them going soft? I am thinking about making some for our next Women’s Institute meeting.
If you cool them and then bag them, getting out most of the air they last several days. It's the humidity in the air that softens them up.
Seems like it might be easier to do the frying in your Ninja Foodi XL Grill. But would they blow around because they would be closer to the fan?
I think they would be fine in the grill.
Can you use canned beets
I'm not sure if they would work because they are usually softer and have been soaking in liquid.
Yes, be careful! That little innocent doodad tried to cut my finger off! 😂.
Can you flavor them with other spices? I've never liked the cook beats, plain. Would love to try
Yes, absolutely!
Wonder if using the dehydrator racks, if you would get more beets, in one go?
I don't think they would crisp evenly, but it's worth a try!
Can you use the precooked unflavored packaged beets found in the produce section of supermarkets? They’re easier to find in my area.
Yes, they should work!
Cool, beets lower blood pressure.
Do you have a recipe which makes beet chips from raw sliced beets?
No matter what kind of beet chips you want to make, it's best to par cook them. You won't get the result you want if you don't. That goes for dehydrating beets for reconstitution later.
Why not dehydrater button
The slices come out leathery rather than crisp, in my experience.
dehydrating beets works great for storage, but not when you want a crispy beet. I think I talk about that in the very beginning of the video.
@@TheSaltedPepper can you use beets from the can
You're so cute 🥰
How does one survive with out a pressure cooker. More importantly a Ninja food????????
