@mariannae007 Well over 30 years. I remember when they first started from Buffalo, Robbie was the lead singer. John just has that unique voice. Don't know quite how to explain it, but most of their songs are relatable and I think that's why so many people like them. I'm glad they are still kicking it. Hope they release a new album pretty soon.

Back in the day I was around the GGD in the Buffalo, NY club scene (pre fame). They are really nice guys. At the time I had a nursing career but was also in a struggling band. John and Rob were very supportive and even offered to produce us. Unfortunately my band fell apart but i just wanna say that they are really great people.
The GGD are my favourite band and I never tire of hearing them. Their music has always helped me so much and this song is absolutely beautiful. They never cease to amaze me. The absolute best🖤

You know, music rarely touches me like this song did. Gave me chills. I love to imagine what John wrote this song about, and I can make some good guesses here. When he says “I’m a ghost in a corner, never meant to be” I think he was talking about his childhood. He used to be really shy and I heard him say once that he spent his high school years “trying to be as invisible as possible”. I think the line that stands out the most to me is the line “yeah I killed my fathers name before it killed me”. For those who don’t know, he lost his father at 15, and he just let it go. He didn’t think about it. Maybe I’m completely wrong here, but it seems kind of obvious that he was leaning towards his childhood on that.

I took a quick listen and really like it! I couldn't finish the whole song because it tears at the heart just a bit too much right now.
