This is the first major coaster i rode as a kid and i think it still holds up. The height and speed deliver, theres no airtime, but you'd be hard pressed to find a coaster in the world that delivers on the positive G's like this one. The closest i have felt to the forces it delivers is the helix at the end of the beast, and even then its not sustained. Titan has several seconds of sustained G's over 3Gs, absolutely nuts.

I used to think this was one of the most amazing rides ever, but I have since gained more experience. I still can appreciate it for what it does, and I always enjoy getting a few rides on my visits. In recent years, I avoid it on Saturdays, because the actual wait times are quite long. Inexperienced coaster riders love Titan, and they show up in big numbers on Saturdays. On Sundays, I'm able to find 15-minute waits into the midday. I used to grey out completely on both helixes in the past, and I loved that, but not even a slight greyout anymore. As a sentimental favorite, I still have it ahead of Shockwave for my 3rd favorite in the park. It is amazing that Titan & Goliath can ride perfectly smooth with no rattle at all, while B&Ms are plagued by that dang rattle.

Excellent video! I know I'm probably going to get a bunch of heat for this, but what the heck! I think this coaster is comparable to millennium force. The reason for this is not the first drop ( even though it is magnificent) but the intense positive g force you get from this ride. When it comes to positive g force Titan takes the cake. Although sure Ill agree that millennium force has a longer ride, it has much less positive g force than Titan. But in the end, both are fantastic rides.

@@CanobieCoaster in my opinion I think one of the most intense coasters out there is not what you would think. I think shockwave at Six Flags over Texas is actually quite intense. it's not for its first drop, airtime, or anything like that, it is the sheer GeForce. This is one of the super old looping roller coaster so it generates a ton of GeForce. 5.9 Gs to be exact. end it does it twice. That kind of force causes me to pass out/black out every time I get on that coaster. when I first got on the coaster I thought it was gonna be boring and slow pace. But when I got on it, I genuinely was terrified because of how much GeForce caught me off guard.

This coaster is special to me. I grew up being deathly afraid of coasters. You couldn't have paid me enough to get on one. Well, all that changed at the age of 30 when my new bride wanted to go to Six Flags. Having never confessed my fear, the FIRST thing she wanted to ride was the Titan. SMH. I didn't say a word. Just sucked it up and got on the ride. The climb to the top of the drop had me weeping internally. On that first drop, I was screaming like a soprano. Needless to say, I fell in love with coasters that day. We rode that thing 5 times in a row. Couldn't get enough. Now, many years later, we are Members and now my kids are coaster fanatics. All because of the Titan and my pride.

Once we found it, like you said, there was no line (and wouldn't be for the entire day) but the cue was not properly roped off to guide you to the station. So my group, along with a lot of other guests were just wandering in this maze lol. We must have got at least 6 rides that day. Some without getting off. It's definitely all about positive Gs though. SFOT is my home park and I enjoy riding Titan. The comfortable restraints, comfortable seats, the ride's smoothness, and double dose of intense positive G's are the key pros of the roller coaster. However, the aggressive mid-course brake run and the fact that airtime moments are sparse in the layout are key cons. I would like to ride a hyper or giga coaster that offers a similar amount of G's and has a less aggressive or no mid-course brake run and has a more fun layout such as better airtime and like recommendations. I never been on a B&M hyper or a Giga but, I think the clamshell restraints and seats will be love at first ride.

Honestly I’m glad that the midcourse brakes bring the train to a near halt. Personally, I don’t like Sustained Positive G’s, I like it when it’s quick and it keeps going but not holding the Positive G’s for more than a second. For instance Afterburn to me is too intense, the positives are so sustained that it makes it uncomfortable. But I LOVE Montu! It’s very intense but it’s more spread out and the G’s are quick and perfect! The Batwing is still one of the best inversions ever made IMO! Back to Titan, I haven’t ridden it but I rather not go through the second half with just uncomfortable and unbearable Positive G’s. So thank you SFOT, I’m not a fan of graying out, just my opinion...

Do you think that Six Flags Over Texas should really build a B&M Wing Rider coaster?
I really think they should since they haven't gotten a new coaster since Titan in 2001!
I know something at Over Texas would have to be taken out for a complete new coaster which I hope nothing ever happens to Shockwave Judge Roy Scream La Vibora as nothing lasts forever!
I think they should take out the Big Spin Coaster which isn't much space and especially the s&s free spin which ticked me off they added that since Fiesta Texas first built one as I think that one is much better than Joker at Over Texas!

I love positive gs and find airtime highly overrated, which is why I'll always prefer hyper-twister models such as the Giovanola twins, Raging Bull, and Millennium Force. The typical out and back, repetitive up and down layouts of most B&M hypers are so mundane, predictable, and get old real fast.
