- **Edit: I also have a second Ron Coleman video here:
• Mining for Crystals at...
This video is from a few different trips to Ron Coleman's Crystal Mine. In this video, we find everything from amethyst, clear quartz crystal single points, clusters, tabbies, rainbows, phantoms, etc.
Out of all of the public mines in the Mt. Ida/Jessieville areas, Ron Coleman's is the largest to the public and has over a 300 feet deep pit that they mine from, so you can get the largest crystals from this location. They have a zipline, and offer tour drives around the property.
More informational videos about Arkansas and Oklahoma areas coming soon!
God bless!

Wow. That crystal plate is just gorgeous. All the crystals are.
Thank you! Sometimes you can do really well there, sometimes it's a little more on the "slim pickings" side. Kind of depends on if they run some loads that day, and how many people swoop in and get all of the good stuff first. 😊👍🏻
Thank you for taking the time to shoot, edit and post these videos. Once retired, we plan on hitting up locations like this all around the U.S. and Ron Coleman is on the bucket list.
Thanks so much!! It is a fun hobby to video and try to get some information out there about a few different places. I am completely new to video stuff, so I have a lot to learn still, but I will keep practicing and try to get more fun content out soon! :) Thanks again for watching!! -Joe
I am so jealous! The mines in south carolina never have anything this clear.
It's kind of funny... I have been wanting to go try some mining in SC sometime. If you ever get a chance to visit the Arkansas area, there are several mines within a few minutes to an hour from each other. You'll get mixed reviews on probably all of them to be honest. In my limited experience, each mine seems to have it's good days and bad days depending on how much they bring out for tailings, and how often. Also, who is mining. Some people are thankful with little, and are just happy to have what they found and will leave good reviews. Others seem to get a good portion and still want more since they didn't get as much as some of the big RUclipsrs, and will leave reviews on how they were disappointed.
@@joedadbod8450 the emerald and ruby mines in north carolina is amazing!
I'm currently planning my spring vacation to. Arkansas
Some awesome clusters and water clear crystals were so beautiful !!!!
That looks soooo fun! What a lovely group of finds too!
We always have a good time when we go, and walk away with finds that exceed the cost of admission. If you ever get the chance, I would recommend it for sure! It can be a lot of work, though... :)
I loved this video. ❤ thank you so much, and that very sweet special small cluster. 😘 sweet and such a beautiful day too. Your right! having a great time in the bud too.
Yall found some beautiful specimens!
This is a great video. I was planning to go there with my family this summer. But the “As you Wish” hill joke got you a subscribe lol. Love it!!!
Enjoyed that video hope you go again 🥰
Thank you so much! I am thinking of making the drive down this weekend or next and going back here to Ron Coleman's, or to Crystal Vista. I'm not sure yet, and need to see how things go as far as our family's schedule. I am so looking forward to nicer weather to get out and do all of this again!! Thanks for watching!! :)
Looks like it's a good place to bring the kids good finds
Yes, for sure! Kids have a lot of fun, but it seems the younger they are, the shorter the attention spans, so if they aren't finding something left and right, they can get "bored". If you bring young ones, be sure to bring plenty of water (I also bring juice boxes or Capri Suns to get a little sugar boost if they need it). Also bring sunblock, and some cleaning supplies (wipes, towels, etc.) for when they want to get into your vehicle, because they'll probably be pretty dirty.
Really enjoy watch this video. 👍❤
Thank you! We always have a lot of fun when we visit this location. Hope you can make it there one day! :)
Hello, Georgius!! Although Llyn will be getting the prizes in the video, since there are only 2 commenters, I am going to give you both two crystals (from Crystal Vista and Ron Coleman's), a rose rock (from lake Stanley Draper), and a fossil rock that I found along Jenkins Creek in Oklahoma. Feel free to email me your contact info at joe.dadbodadventures@gmail (dot) com and I will mail them out to you. Have a wonderful day today!! :)
Hai Joe, I am glad to hear this. I Will send my email to you. Thank for your info and God Bless You. Cheers ❤❤
Love eating my peanut butter. Now I can play in it, and find beautiful crystals. Retiring soon with a new hobby.
That was fun to watch. Are thise the typical finds there at Ron Colemans? And do they usually dump that many piles a day?
Honestly, they don't really seem to have a rhyme or reason to when they dump, or how much they dump. I have been there a few times where they hadn't dumped at all, and it didn't look like they had for a few days. I have been there when they only dumped a couple of loads, and I have been there when they dump 10-15 loads, and I know some people have seen them dump closer to 20 +/- in a day. I have tried calling ahead, or even messaging in Facebook Messenger to find out specifically which days they will dump, but I usually get a response something like "We regularly bring new material up from the pit". Yeah, I know that... but I want to know specifically if you are dumping on the day that I want to go, or should I wait a little longer so I can get the fresh material.
Still, on days where they haven't dumped anything, I have always gotten my money's worth out of the admission. It's a great place to visit if you find yourself in that area of the country. Just bring plenty of water, sunscreen, gloves, etc., oh, and plan to get filthy. :)

i dont mean to be so off topic but does anybody know of a way to get back into an Instagram account?
I somehow lost the login password. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
@Kyng Kamryn thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm.
Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Kyng Kamryn It worked and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thanks so much you saved my account !
멋진수정들 잘보고 갑니다..아름답네요!
what a good day at the mine!
Thanks! We usually do pretty well when we visit Ron Coleman's. Have you ever been? Thanks again for watching. :)
Yes I’ve been twice and found a few small crystals and a cluster but nothing like I see others finding. I think it has a lot to do with hitting it on a good load day. I will be back there one day soon for the big score
Hello, Llyn! You won the prizes in the video!!! Congratulations! :). Feel free to email me your contact info at joe.dadbodadventures@gmail (dot) com and I will mail everything out to you the next day after I receive your info. Thanks so much, and have a wonderful day today Llyn!! -Joe.

we went to Ron Coleman crystal mine and found a museum quartz cluster with clear crystals and it was so big we could hardly get it in the car
Fantastic!!! I’m planning on going again on Wednesday. I gotta get the vehicle all packed up tomorrow evening to get ready for it. It’s supposed to be 101 on Wednesday, but I’m going anyway since I have the day off from work.
Gostei muito dó seu canal é sou garimpeiro é descobri muito coisa interessante
Such incredible finds!!

This video was over a couple of different trips. Sometimes you can do really well there, sometimes not so much. For the most part, I was just showing the good. 😊👍🏻
I did not know you could find amethyst there
This place looks awesome. I know it’s kind of late, but please enter he in the giveaway!!! Thanks
Hey Scott, sorry for the late reply, I somehow missed your comment. I'll be doing another giveaway in the next few days, hopefully even later today!! :)
Would you, or anyone you know bring somebody along with them from Little Rock? I am disabled, and can’t drive, but i and my electric scooter could get a bus to Arkansas, if somebody could bring me along, I would chip in for costs.
I can walk with crutches a few steps, so I could leave my scooter at the edge of the scavenging area, and get myself to a pile.
(I have no interest in trying the zip line. 😄)
Do you have to pay extra to keep any finds?
You get to keep anything that you find!! Also, if there is a giant boulder that you want and can't load it, you can pay an additional $50 and they will strap it up with a tractor, and drive it over and set it in the back of your truck for you (assuming you are in a truck to haul a larger rock).
I wanted to export Quartz and feldspar and it will gain you pretty good profit too if any importer is available do let me know ⛏
What do you use to clean them so well?
I wash them off as much as possible with water at first to try to remove as much dirt/clay as I can. Afterwards I use Iron Out and let them soak for a day in the sun. You can get Iron Out at Wal Mart, Lowe's, etc. In the cleaning section of the stores.
Hope it's a help if you ever try it. 👍🏻😊
