i would really actually like to collect these tbh they're small enough to where you can just. shove a bunch in a little box if you don't care about keeping them mint in the packaging lol
As sad to see that they didn’t bother to make up an actual game for the ‘girls’ variant, its still cool to see how they adapted the core mechanic for a different audience. They’re not *really* my aesthetic (except for the petal point zoobles im gonna need me some of those cute lil bug guys) but its a shame to see they didn’t last long. I don’t think the humanoid doll ones are a bad idea at all, especially with the doll boom of the past few years. I wish them the best. :)
I never got many zoobles but I loved them! I even have a zoobles DS games! The physical zooble I remember was a koala with a baby in it's belly, I even took it to school and never lost the baby. I also has a few from MCDonlads.
I was pretty much obsessed with Zoobles as a kid. I had hundreds of these. I got even more into LPS after they went on hiatus in 2012, though I wasn’t so lucky since it was the time when G3 LPS came out. Here’s my opinion on the reboots: while I like that they have more detail than the originals, I don’t like how they’re adhering to the same contemporary, tech-heavy theme as every other feminine toyline nowadays that isn’t fashion dolls (probably thanks to the success of LOL Surprise; even Hatchimals and MLP are starting to become that way). The Z-Girls are pretty uncanny themselves (being ambiguously human and all that) but I like how cute their animal faces are. There’s another series of the reboots which came out, called Secret Partiez, but the website didn’t update to include info on them, neither were there official videos of them. And yes, Tesco is a mainline store. It’s in the UK though. I really don’t know why they didn’t release the reboots in American stores. It seems like with Zoobles barely getting any marketing in the States anymore and Spin Master not updating the site to include newer releases, they’re probably letting the toyline fall into obscurity again.
sometimes it really does seem like toys are in a pretty sad state regarding the aesthetics and treatment of lines and stuff but hey, as long as kids like the stuff i can't really complain much about it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It should be better to pin this, but I am one who tries their best to make this franchise actually known by humans again. I really hope one day I wake up and see this entire franchise revived by fans like how speedrunners did the same with Battle for Bikini Bottom.
I can proudly announce that I still have two Zoobles I got as a kid in one of my drawers! I was more of a Littlest Pet Shop person at the time but I still thought that Zoobles are so cute and the idea is cool so I wanted to have at least one haha
oh my gosh I was really into bakugan when I was little and I got these and loved them, but I could never remember what they were called. Thank you for the video!
Been looking forward to someone making a video on Zoobles. I'm, like, the only guy who remembers these and it's sad because it felt like a passion project.
I’m pretty sure I had a couple of Zoobles when I was a kid, but I likely forgot about them in a short amount of time. It’s interesting how Zoobles had different biomes and colors depending on the biome. It’s like how Bakugan have attributes and colors depending on the attribute. I was a fan of Bakugan first and I still am a fan. Bakugan being monsters that can speak and think like humans has always been a cool concept to me. I wish gender roles weren’t as forced. I like a lot of things that are considered girly and I also like things that are considered masculine.
i only had the McDonald's ones but i played with them. i would just pop them in and out over and over bc it was satisfying the way they folded up to a perfect ball
You have been on a roll with amazing content!! I love the girly 2010s nostalgia so much as a 21 year old trans girl. Like ugh these are all the toys I remember wishing I could have!!! 😭😭😭
I miss Zoobles so much! I'm glad they're still being sold online, but I miss seeing them in stores. Speaking of 2000s nostalgia, Basic Fun is bringing back the 2000s bobble head era of Littlest Pet Shop, which is already exciting enough, but they're also making NEW types of pets, like AXOLOTLS!
I still have ALL of my zoobles, there’s so many. I have the ones that made sounds, the glowing ones and normals, as well as a fuzzy one. They’re all packed up because I don’t have any space for them, but zoobles were absolutely the best part of my childhood!
PLEASE!!!! These were my childhood! Both me and my brother loved Bakugan but I was a Zoobles girl at heart. I litterally even used my Zoobles lunchbox in Junior year of highschool
aww i wish i knew about them or even just saw them in a store at any point... bakugan seemed to be more popular. i absolutey ADORE tiny creature toys that turn from simple shapes into their regular form!! especially when you're not immediately bombarded with tons of lore in the form of game rules and an anime story. as someone who wants to know everything about a thing in order to fully enjoy it, i would've much preferred the simplicity of zoobles. someone should put their bakugan into zoobles playsets, i think they deserve the rest. in turn a bakugan should get its butt kicked by a funny colourful animal.
as a transfem gal im glad i got to grow up with stuff like this that wasn’t just “for boys”. i still love bakugan, and this felt like an interesting outlet for the designs of little critters like them. wasnt as compelling since there wasn’t a game to play with them or anime telling the story, but they’re cute and fun and i think there’s value to just being that.
finally someone talks about the anime! i hyperfixated hard on the anime a few years ago, so much so that i bought one from amazon japan (i bought the white rabbit coron). i also collected the american ones for a while but i liked the anime version a lot more. i liked the idea that they were candies with flavors. also, if you want to watch the anime, there are episodes on youtube that someone recorded off their tv in japanese. not the best in terms of quality, but definitely better than it was when i got into the series, where there was practically nothing 😂 im loving your videos, love me some 2000s nostalgia/lost media! 😄
I remember collecting them back then, me and my younger sister liked them, but now I only have one original zooble to my name left in tact, overall pretty good video about the zoobles, 10/10
6:05 Man, I WISH you mentioned the nursery playset that had a mama zooble and 2 babies! I had that one as a kid! I was trying to find the commercial for that playset, but the ones that I found were in another language. The English one is still lost
I used to go to the BGC as a kid and one of the kids there had the giant zooble that came with stickers and stuff to customize/style it, it also had a compartment to store the stuff
I HAD NO IDEA THAT WAS A THING LOL people keep commenting about zooble stuff that i couldn't find any documentation on so maybe i'll have to do some more research and make another video about it later on lol
@@xephrou you should, I love deep diving into nostalgic content like this. Surprisingly (or not idk) alot of toy brands (mostly targeted at girls) have giant/jumbo/mega dolls/figures and stylization toys (sometimes they overlap like with this), it's a very interesting phenomenon when there are giant toys that kind of just get forgotten. Also I have an idea for a couple of toy lines to cover. Such as Beazu (Beadzu? Idk, they were bracelets that you fold/twist into animals), lalaloopsy (which has a spin off ment to captitalize off monster high/the trend of putting the characters into a highschool setting), and happy meal/McDonald's related stuff like McWorld (I mention this because of the Nicktropolis video which was amazing btw)
I have one of these, but I did not remember what it was in the slightest. I don't think I was actually interested in the series, so that's probably why. I remember not knowing that it opened with magnets for the longest time, so id just chuck it at the floor and it would pop open.
Another great video! I think I had one of these that was possibly a blue koala or something like that but the memory of it is very fuzzy cause I literally had so many toys as kid that I wish I still had ^w^” I also had like this blue bakugon that I found or took or something like that I really don’t know. My brother was obsessed with them though a few years back and I remember that when we were going to get him we was asking my mom to buy this one before it was gone with an overly exited tone I thought it was funny. XD anyway love the video! :DDD
I had a Zooble, but I had no idea that's what it's called because I found it in a free box outside a neighbor's house, without it's happitat. I think I opened it up by pulling it's ears open, or maybe pressing down on it's feet? I didn't even know what animal it was, but looking at the Zooble designs now I think it might have been a cat. I remember it being yellow and orange, maybe also green, probably with other colors too. It's hard to remember, I'm more sure about it being a cat than the colors. I looked for the specific toy but didn't find anything that seemed to perfectly match my memory. Weirdly enough, the flower girl ones also look familiar, we must have either had two or a friend must have had it
AYOOO I HAD A SINGLE ZOOBLE!! It was a pink dog thing from Chillville at 3:29! It was real cute. ALSO THE DS GAME Beat that multiple times, I remember it being pretty fun, but not like, amazing or anything lol
i had one!!! this video makes me wish i hadnt gotten rid of it even more. ive been marathoning your videos lately and all of them are so captivating and entertaining! thank you for all your hard work and i will look forward to your next videos!!
now i'm sad that i lost the ones i had as a kid :'] I have a very specific memory of playing w another girl while in class, and we'd stick them on the metal legs of our desks to pop them open.
I use to play with Zoobles at school, but for some reason I thought they were Littlest Pet Shop toys since they were mixed together inside of the toy chest.
I remember asking for zoobles on Christmas and got bakugan instead because "zoobles are for girls and bakugan for boys" so my gayby self missed out on so many toys 😭
yea the 2000s were notoriously bad about gender roles and stereotypes for kids' toys lol. it's somewhat better nowadays but there's still massive room for improvement
Yes, I grew up with the western zoobles, had the toys. Would go on the website every single day after school that’s how obsessed with it I was. And before the original toys got discontinued my family always knew what they would get me for Christmas and my birthday lmao it would be zoobles. I also watched probably the entire Japanese dub of zoobles that actually had English subtitles back when I was 5 or 6. But those have gotten taken down for copyright. Any recordings of the zoobles anime are either incomplete, or very low quality on RUclips. I really wish I could find my old zoobles toys but since I’ve moved houses like 3 times I don’t think I would have any luck. And also I’m in love with the Korean/Japanese version of the toys. They’re all pastel and really adorable Also here’s proof that English subtitled versions of the Japanese zoobles did exist : ruclips.net/video/FgHrYb-tWX4/видео.html though don’t expect much because it’s recorded by a kid
i really wish they could surface in good quality one day! maybe i'll make a separate lost media video on it to get some more attention on it or post on the lost media wiki forums maybe,,
@@xephrou if you wanted to I’d definitely support and help as well. There’s some other people who are in the zoobles fandom who helped put the zoobles wiki together who I’ve come in contact with. It’s really nice to see that there is a fandom that’s willing to care about this
Omg me and my sister were obsessed with these! We had a whole collection of them together.
i would really actually like to collect these tbh they're small enough to where you can just. shove a bunch in a little box if you don't care about keeping them mint in the packaging lol
I swear every single toy in the early 2010s got a ds game
absolutely true
As sad to see that they didn’t bother to make up an actual game for the ‘girls’ variant, its still cool to see how they adapted the core mechanic for a different audience. Okay but the Zoobles website was a BANGER. I used to have a darn crazy collection of them and even got some of the 2021 ones when they first came out.
I can proudly announce that I still have two Zoobles I got as a kid in one of my drawers! I was more of a Littlest Pet Shop person at the time but I still thought that Zoobles are so cute and the idea is cool so I wanted to have at least one haha

update: i found some of the new zoobles and one of them is a pink and purple deer princess (with antlers), she is my new gender
This was exactly what happened to me lol!

Zooble from the amazing digital circus???
NOOO I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN 🥺
This is why I am so verbal about Gooseworx and TADC
*Zoobles!*
Omg! I still have my collection from like 2012 I was obsessed!
the modern zoobles are all over toystores in europe (at least, the netherlands and greece). i was so happy when i saw them again :]
I played with bakugans before but I never played with these I never even knew about them before watching this video
GOD j so forgot about these, i used to go crazy for these

THANK YOU SO MUCH I'M SO HAPPY U LIKE MY VIDEOS 🥺💕
There is the amazing digital circus character name was Zooble who was named after the toy and their pronouns was they/them
I remember these. I had a few and a car to put them in
I had a ton of zoobles and the big tree playset as a kid, but I donated them in middle school, probably my biggest regret😢😢
oh no :(
now i'm sad that i lost the ones i had as a kid :'] I have a very specific memory of playing w another girl while in class, and we'd stick them on the metal legs of our desks to pop them open.
LOL I LOST MINE TOO i was a play in the mud kind of girl when i was younger and i ended up losing mine in a stupid mud hole in our backyard 😖
The bakugan have been fixed. Thru removed the "zooble-y" one and they all look like normal bakugan again. The earth is healing 😌😆
this is the first time ive heard of zoobles but they look really interesting.
I use to play with Zoobles at school, but for some reason I thought they were Littlest Pet Shop toys since they were mixed together inside of the toy chest.
to be fair lps toys did get weird for a while somewhere along the line
I remember those too
watching this with my new zooble 🔥🔥🔥
I didn't realize it at first but I had one of these!
sometimes they are too distant of a memory... but lol it's cool that you realized you had one that's awesome :3
omg a video about cubbo-- i mean zoobles !
Think my favorite is aquatic set
ocean stuff is always the best

Yesssss yessss this is my moment!!!!?✨✨✨✨ I win ༼;´༎ຶ ༎ຶ༽💕
I had one of these but I lost the habitat so I would just throw it really hard against a wall when I wanted it to open and it worked
LOL OH MY GOD
I still have one of these, I stole it from a friend when I was 13 lol
a worthy theft apparently
I remember asking for zoobles on Christmas and got bakugan instead because "zoobles are for girls and bakugan for boys" so my gayby self missed out on so many toys 😭
i'm sorry :(
the 2021 ad made me faint.why are they yelling SOOOOO much
they are very serious about you buying these toys
@@xephrou yeah they NEED me to buy them
