The brush springs on these Poole era GF locos are very easy to lose in the carpet! They are the same as the coupling springs, so either will do if one is lost. My wife is the hawkeye to find the little...... on the floor, thank goodness! Well done Dan, bringing this one back to life.
well done there iv just gone back to oo from n getting to fiddly easier now at least my hornby and lima locos are easy to service and spares are plentifull you got it to run good you probably opened the floodgates now lots of n repairs coming your way thanks for sharing
Always a great video thanks for sharing, these look really fiddly to work on, well done again, inside the loco it looks similar to the X04 Triang motor if you get my point, love to see more N gauge on Trash to Track, thanks John
A good tip for reassembly is to use blue tack to gently hold rods etc in place. I found this out after swearing for a whole evening putting an 8f together
Partly a Bachmann production model that - circa mid to late 2000s (blackened wheels give this away - albeit the front bogie wheels on yours are wrong, from an earlier (pre-2000) loco). But the chassis block and motor is an old early one - a real mush up of parts there!
watched your video and thought it was great. if you would like i have a few n gauge that need repairing.and if you would like to try to fix them i well send them ..plus i can also let you some track.
