"Honor and Might" is an original dwarven song in our Hammerdeep collection. We are continuing to develop our own Dwarven legend through multiple musical compositions. We hope you enjoy it:)
This was Moving, Emotional, and Forever on should such an important message should echo across the deeps and through every heart under the sky. We should be Mighty but never without Honor, and if we live by that code and seek to better the world, not just ourselves, then we will have to greatest legacy to pass onto our loved ones and all generations to come. As always, your music is truly Mighty and always makes my day! You are all so amazing and I hope 2024 is treating you well as I am excited for another year of music from you guys! Thanks for keeping the hearth of hope burning and helping me to keep my head held high!
@tankythemagnorite9855 Nuh uh! A Dwarven Runic Hammer would totally do it! Especially the +3's! They usually have Disruption enchantments worked in. 😉
Sadly today our blades are blunted, falseness reigns and honour is exchanged for corruption and greed and the only might is the one wielded by the wealthy
@@namethis658 The world is becoming more dangerous. Are you one of those people who think that *Insert right wing populist* here is a threat to democracy and gonna install themselves as a fascist dictator? You need that blade. But by the sound of things, you'd set up *left wing populist* as a fascist dictator instead if they gave enough lip service to your *pet social program*. All auths are cringe.
Years ago when i was first drawn to the dwarves it wasn't just their stonework, which i adore, it wasn't just their work ethic, which i share, it wasn't just their patterning after the norse, who are my ansesters, it was their unity the sense of brotherhood, and its that brotherhood that keeps drawing be back to your music with every new song. Be well shieldbrothers and sisters.
According to Tolkien himself the Dwarven culture that he created which is the basis for most fantasy dwarves nowadays was basically a combination hybrid culture between Norse Warrior culture combined with Biblical Old Testament Israelites because the dwarves were always driven from their Homeland like the children of Israel were driven from Zion by the Babylonians and the Romans dwarves are often driven from their Homeland deep in the mountains also if you listen to the song Halls of hammer deep the first line the Craftsman makes Eternal Art and the last few lines this world was made by mighty hands a blessing rest upon Our Land
I really like this song, I think dwarves are rarely shown as in their full and prime. More often they're shown as a crumbling kingdom receding from former glory and might. This song shows how the dwarves are in their prime. A kingdom mighty, noble, and held together by their unwavering commitment to honor.
I was reading something on Royal Road called One Moo'r Plow (mostly an ok story) which took a really interesting direction. Its set at a time when the dwarves are at the height of their power: they rule everything below ground, and everyone is terrified of so much as harming the hair on a dwarf's head for fear of being written into the book of grudges. There's a whole bit where a dwarf is killed and within the month an entire legion of dwarves appears out of the ground and walls off the entire region where the dwarf was killed (in a few hours), puts everyone to truthspell, and nobody is willing to do anything about it (despite the many powerful individuals in the vicinity) for fear of the dwarf war machine. And then the main character hears a rumor that the dwarves have delved to dark and deep, and we all know how that goes...
Dwarves have in so many ways taken a back seat to elves and other more popular fantasy races. We're so lucky to have you guys churning out dwarf content like this.
I like the way these songs flow. Always in a crescent, looking foward and ending in a positive note. That being said though... Honor and Might! Rock and Stone! *Khazukan Khazakit-HA!*
I think the Dwarven Verse is just the Chorus but sung in Khuzdul/some other Dwaven Tongue. If you listen it matches in rhythm and cadence to the Chorus.
How do you know a sound is absolute epic? You hear him once and think, yeah that's a good one. After a while you hear the rythm in your head and think. Hmmm could listen again to the song. As you listen again you start singing the text. And then over he whole week you find yourself again and again singing the song in your head are pulled in by the rythm an voices and everytime you listen to the song you find yourself singing "... Ahil the king of the crown full of honor and might.." Thank you for this song I absolutely love it.
Absolutely love this one. Most of your dwarven songs portray the stoicism and epicness of dwarves (which is always awesome), but I really like how this one shows off a sense of dwarven majesty
What’s the best thing to wake up to? A new dwarven song by Clamavi De Profundis! I’m so excited to add this to my growing dwarvish playlist!!! Keep them coming please!!! This song is amazing.
You guys really outdo yourselves. For a long time as a recent player of D&D, I've wanted to DM a game myself. Despite being told running a module is the best way to start, I knew I had to make my own setting. Inspired by the songs in your dwarven collections, I started the campaign some months back and its been going well. A very dwarven setting itself, I've shared some of these very songs with the players and they too have loved them. These are gems of the musical art, I absolutely love them. I occasionally have trouble sleeping as well, and many of these songs work very well at low volume as a sort of ASMR when I'm having a hard time sleeping and have helped me greatly in falling asleep easier when insomnia kicks in. So thank you, for the multiple ways your music has had a positive impact on my life. You guys are amazing. May the heart of the mountains guide Hammerdeep into legend. Rock and stone!
So cool! It paints a picture of the dwarf kingdom preparing for a meaningful battle. The last verse is especially poignant, a father speaking what might be his last words to his son. Beautifully done! (As always)
This song will be forever in our dwarven hearts! It givin me tears in eyes and making me proud to be dwarf! May the flame of dwarven courage loyalty kindness honor and might shall burn forever to make Vala Aulë proud of his children !
honestly might be my favorite of all time group i love pretty much every single piece you guys come out with which isnt something i can say for any other music band or otherwise keep up the amazing work!
With a few word changes you can get an amazing patriotic or worship/praise song. It just happens naturally with these kinds of themes. Great work to the crew.
Truly songs worthy of the Dwarven legacy! All seven Durins surely would be pleased to see that mankind has not forgetten them, even long after Mirrormere was lost, ere the changing of the world in ages past.
For I, Thorinox, may not dwell in the deep mountains, nor do I dwell below ground for the great riches, but let it be known, my fellow neighbors shall here this song, loud and clear!
Dwarven style music always has such power, such strength to it, that I can’t help but feel moved, I can’t help but be in the mood to play some Dnd or something DnD inspired. Most characters I play as in those games I usually play as a Dwarf because Dwarves are certified badasses and amazing craftsmen!
A really good song...and then you dropped a verse in Khuzdul, and the song became downright legendary. Fantastic showing, lads. Rock and stone! Honor and might!
Very inspiring and heroic. Definitely this applies to heroic kings fighting for his kingdom and this song is made in honor and dedication of heroic kings.
I just learned The King Beneath the Mountain (to go along with The Song of Durin, The Song of Hammerdeep, When the Hammer Falls) as lullaby's for my daughter. I need to learn this one.
Amazing as always! Particularly like having something tenor friendly to sing along to! though my wife will be missing the contrabass ! Any chance of getting a translation for the dwarvish lines or finding how this fits into the over-all legend of hammerdeep? EG, is this the same King from "the kingdom!"
Every time a Song comes out it is just a banger for my dwarfen ears. I rly enjoy your Music, i hope you guys will still support the Dwarf King with this beautiful music. Also for all my Brothers rembember it this guys give to us the Honor and Might in our next Battle, with this Music. ROCK AND STONE!

Part of the sang was apparently sung in Dwarven language, but the lyrics weren't displayed. Could they be added in the future, please?
Song, not sang. I'm still asleep.

Honestly my favorite sub-category of fantasy inspired songs!
I name every Dwarf character I make in RPGs Boic now.
“His crown shall be upholden,
His harp shall be restrung,
His halls shall echo golden
To songs of yore re-sung”
Got chills
The king beneath the mountains
the king of carven stone
the lord of silver fountains
shall come into his own
The woods shall wave on mountains
And grass beneath the sun
His wealth shall flow in fountains
And the rivers golden run

It's something so lacking in these days and what draws me to these songs: brotherhood.
You may joke all you want on Dwarven height, but Honor and Might are two things no Elf could ever reach. ROCK AND STONE!!!
