You are the only creator who, for some reason, knows about Farsight Ritual. Every other creator i watch talks about how there is no good replacement for Deluge, and how it sucks. No matter how many times i comment Ritual is just as good, they dont listen lol. So props to you, man, you are top tier in skills and entertainment.
Awesome brew of a deck !! I made some small adjustments, such as adding a small sideboard that really makes this a lockdown deck (I have High Noon, Rest in Peace in the SB). I also replaced 1 temporary lockdown and the 2 Jace, The Perfected Mind with 1 Grand Abolisher and 2 Jace Reawakened. Again, making sure to lock things down and I can get that one back with my Starfall. Same goes for the looting ability on Jace, making sure I get something in the graveyard when I need to and just drawing cards 🙂
I played CGB's recent "no win con UW" deck for a few hours last night. As someone who played UW control almost exclusively for the past year or so on Arena, it's crazy how much I missed Emperor and to a lesser extent Farewell. Spellgyre sure is not memory deluge either. I am glad to see Jace in this version and I haven't tried farsight ritual yet.
Well, no doubt that control lost a lot of tools - however I find Beza to be decent replacement (I guess for emperor, as it's same curve) - and it makes it a bit easier. But yeah, deluge+emperor are huge cards that don't have direct replacements. Farsight is nice, but you generally need a bit more card draw in deck, to substitude deluge's flashback. However, it can be stronger midgame, to get this land+sweeper with bargain 🔥🦥
Very impressive save vs. Urabrask Forge! I keep waiting for an opponent to show up with a Simulacrum Synthesizer deck when you're running lists like this with no artifact removal.

Great azorius control video. I was originally using parting gust as well, but I felt like it was a bit too slow. I'm currently trying out 3x long river's pull, 2 unions for some life gain and 2 stoic sphinxes for beaters and its been working decently well. As much i love Jace milling people out, I think he's a bit too slow for this aggro filled meta. I want to try him in a new dimir list with breach the multiverse potentially. Hope to see you play some more dimir control down the line as well.

This is also my build but I splashed green like always...inspired from you and sonio. I added tyrannax rex as my main wincon then I put 4 copies of aven interrupter plus cosmic rebirth. Does it remind you of shigeki loop? Lol
I like farsight ritual so much more than memory deluge. It's really good at refilling, but not as inherently good. getting 4 for 1'd feels bad after one deluge. Ritual feels more balanced
Maybe someday, but yeah, for now we need to be satisfied with a bit worse card draw :) At least Beza really gives this deck a lot of "accidental card draw", so that helps :)

A very easy example is the words “left and right” in one context they are opposite of each other, in a different context they mean wildly different things. “I left it right there” like what!?! it makes for a very eloquent spoken language but what an impressive task to master as a second language.

2 Jace is too much for main list, probably the same for 4 lockdowns. I run Eternal wanderer for blinking Beza and Teferi for draw cards. Probably you should run 1 more for Spellgyre. White season and wandering are a good way for handle with artifacts and annoying permanents. Same with blue season. Anyways the decks looks solid.
For Jace, I try to be solid with anti-value decks, but you might be right and maybe we can go without Jaces, they are more of wincon that value card (defending it is hard). For 4x lockdowns, I would say it's best control card of standard atm, so I will definitely keep 4x in probably most builds. Eternal Wanderer + Beza is a cool interaction, never thought about it! You realize you take no Damage from shel if you use far sight ritual? It says put two cards in your hand not draw two cards the wording is just like deluge

imagine beza and starfall invocation in tutelage man oh man beza is perfect it can draw you a card gain you life and produce blockers which ia what that deck needs to do its thing .

Parting Gust has become an auto include in any white deck I have. It’s just so versatile.
