I'd prefer the stove top to be more centred to get space either side. The island could have a flip up so you could have stools around it, so you could not have the table, putting more seating there. Lots of families don't use a table to eat anymore
Love the RV the barn style slide door looks awesome. The TV in the main living area is a bit small like you mentioned. Thank you for pulling out the sofa especially here I think that it's going to cut off the access to the half bathroom. I really like when you open them because it shows how it looks and opening that sofa definitely changes not only the look but functions as well seeing that if the sofa is open bathroom access is restricted. I just watch for entertainment but if I had money and was shopping for an RV that may be a decision maker for some so I think continuing to pull out the sofa and sleeping arrangements should be a part of all your tours. As I mentioned I chose your channel over others that didn't do it so I thank you for bringing it back please continue to do it in future videos. A potential buyer will appreciate it I'm almost positive
I LOVED how detailed you were with your video! I saw this model at an RV show last weekend and it was my favorite!❤ Finally an RV that has 2 sleeping areas big enough for adults!🤗 I'm a single mom but my kids are all grown and 2 boys are 6 feet tall. One son was with me and we discovered those double- stacked narrow bunks just don't cut it. But the full size one in this model works for him. Or I could even sleep in one of the recliners as they were SO comfy and I loved that they were electric as it is easier on my old damaged back to get out of an electric recliner. I love the neutral decor everwhere and the fact that there is no carpet. And I love that it is sheet vinyl- which surprised me.With the current popularity of LVP ( snap together plank) I assumed that's what I was seeing in RV pictures. And I hate LVP because water can get between the planks if not noticed right away and dried, which then can make mold or damage your subfloor.🙄. I thought the sheet vinlyl in most of the RV's was both attractive and functional. What I would love to see in this master bedroom is a tilt bed option and/or 2 twin beds in the master as an option. Also it really needs a side table big enough for a sleep apnea machine. I think the dresser top that slides is not just for hidden storage but makes it able to be used as a desk.😁 I agree that the pet food bowls should come out the island and the stove should be on the left if possible but I've done enough remodeling to know that there might be an unseen reason why they can't be placed differently. I probably wouldn't want the give up the large cabinet on the side of the stove for 2 smaller cabinets just to have it centered either. I like the idea of a hinged flip up counter but I would never give up the table for that. In fact I wouldn't even buy an RV without a table that at least 4 people can sit around to play cards or board games at. That's one of our favorite vacation activities! And if families ever buy this to live in and homeschool their kids it is often really nice to sit across from the child you are teaching. And wind or weather can make it hard to do that outside. Another thing I absolutely LOVE is all the big windows with no curtains!❤ And the pull down smooth black out shades! Not only do they seem like they would be helpful if it started to get too hot inside but also they disappear when you don't need them and you can see out the full window. And they aren't pleated or textured which I hate because they get dirty too easily. I also love a divided sink and a pull down faucet. But one of the things that truly made this one stand out was the one piece shower! ❤ So many other new RV's have that thin, textured, stone looking stuff that seems flimsy and would never last long. I looked at those and walked right back out. Those are a deal-breaker for us. They scream "water-damage here I am!" I know how to build a waterproof shower and that is not it. I also know how hard it is to keep cheap shower material clean and I just couldn't buy a new RV with a low quality shower set-up. But the shower in the influence lookes and feels like it would be easy to clean and the one piece goes floor to ceiling which provides the best water damage prevention you can have in an RV shower. I would still use a flexible caulk at the ceiling though.😉 I know some RVs have another couch but I would rather have this bunk house. The whole rig would be too long to have both and if you have to give up something I think they designed it just right like this. If a large family wants to watch a movie together they can always bring in camping chairs or add bean bags or watch T.V. outside with the outdoor kitchen hook-ups. And speaking of outdoor kitchen, I love being able to wash your hands outside. Does it have an outdoor shower hose too? Cause that would be the icing on the cake. Regardless, I just love it so much!
Nice plan for a new design. There are a few areas that could be improved on such as: dog bowls in front of the fridge - like the concept, not the placement. As someone else commented - utilize that big island with a long side flip up, add some stools and utilize the island as a double-duty table. Then, add more seating where the table is now. If you have lots of sleeping, your gonna need more seating! Include small moveable tables if people need a tv tray to use with their recliner. There is enough room in this slide to put an expandable j-lounge sofa to seat 5 or 6 people. I love barn doors, however, the Bunk room barn door takes up half the wall and the rest is wasted space. I understand the slide has to come in but it looks like there is room for coats or a thin cabinet (maybe) or move the TV above the barn door. Make that wall better somehow. Also, the stove needs to be centered in the counter. If you moved the TV you could have alot more counter space! Pantry & coffee bar are good. Nice neutral colors are great!! Bunk room is nice, like the desk & big bunk up top. Sofa pulled out could be a problem! Great half bath. Master bath looks good. Shower needs a fold down seat. A go-to on the little half shelves next to your face - those are hazards, but the foldable shelf on the headboard was nice. Great finished storage under the bed & nice closet & laundry. Thankful for the 6 drawers in the dresser. We are looking for a bunkhouse and I would definitely put this one on our short list. I think with a few changes, it could be a good fit for a family. Thanks Myles for the thorough review, appreciate it!
Another good video and I appreciate your work. You mentioned a measuring tape.... I've always wondered why folks that review RVs don't have a tape measure as a standard tool to help us better see what the camera doesn't show. I am sure folks watching would really appreciate the context that a measuring tape would bring to your videos. Great job again and thank you for your time making these videos.
Wish they would put end tables in bedroom instead of the tiny crappy shelf on each side of bed that you can roll into and hurt yourself. The pull down shades look cheap. I still buy older models for the quality things they took out. It is nice to finally see the lighter colors though.
As you first step in, I would like some effect on the wall with the barn door. Either have it as a painted wall, wallpapered wall or perhaps board and batten and painted a feature colour or something like that. I like a little more contrasted decor. Currently it is too plain. Overall a nice enough unit.
Do you have to have a King size bed? can you get a queen instead? the kitchen area is the best except for a window by the stove you would be cleaning it constantly from splatter
It’s just the couch is an issue for me. There’s still plenty of room for a U or L couch to place in the seating area. (I’m all about snuggling up in the couch, Lol) Everything else is perfect, love that room for kids growing into their young adult years. It’s perfect for height, room, comfortability, organization. It’s your kids own personal space and I enjoy that very much.
Very interesting and very thorough. I did notice that the mantle was bowed and needs replacing. Also the flat flooring is not perfect in the kitchen areas especially at the ends where someone is likely to trio. I’m not sure if this is standard but it definitely bothers me. I’m definitely going to view a couple of models this being one. One question is do you know if it’s possible to rent one as I’m planning on coming over from the UK this spring to search for a property with land and it would be ideal to try before I buy as I will be moving around in search of something special? Thanks again 💫
I love the bunk room and would like to try that too bunk haha. Fab to have a half bath there and the storage is brilliant. Not sure about those deep shelves, I think they need doors on, privacy and keeps things in place of you move. I love the bathroom, the size of the shower is great. Mystery much a blank canvas, but that's good, it's easy to make it your own without having to work around someone else's preference The under bed storage is the first time I've ever seen it look so finished, looks more like a proper bed, not just a mattress on a big plank of wood. Storage is great, and quite easy toenail around the bed, even if the one side is a little more ckose. There's no deal breakers, not sure it would be the right one for me, but I do like it.
Great video Myles. I may have missed it in your video, but what is Grand Design doing to eliminate the frame flex issue that has plagued their RV’s in the past? I realize this is not a toy hauler, but just curious if they’re doing anything to eliminate those l issues their customers have experienced with their previous years models.
I’m not sure. The frames are supplied from Lippert, as are most every other fifth wheel RV brand. So it sounds like an issue Lippert would need to address. Although, GD does tend to build with a bit more quality which means heavier weight than some comparable fifth wheels as well, which could possibly play a part.
I don't care for the electric recliners that you can't recline in if you're not hooked up. Love divided sinks. It allows you to rinse off dishes while you're washing them. Almost anyone who's owned a side by side refrigerator/freezer, hates them. The freezer never is wide enough.
Right off i DO Love the Xtra Width of this baby, I DON'T like the Smaller living room area. Definitely not Big enough for Both my Hubby, Myself, (Adult Son part time ) both hubby & son are 6'2 We're in the market for a FULL TIME 5th wheel w/a Xtra Room only negative to that Xtra Room/Office is you get a Smaller Living Room. We love both the Recliner/Couch Living Area and this one just doesn't have it. Forgot to add, I do love the Colors. They're neutral and modern. The 101 Width is such a Plus
RV realize that there only 10-15% who are left handed. It’s better to have more counter space on the right side of the oven not the left side. Draw back in the bunk area use the sofa as a bed nobody can’t use the bathroom or get out of the bunk room. Nice slide out pushed back further out. The designers need to work on little more space side of the bed.
Loved everything about it, the only thing I would suggest is making the dog bowls pull out from the end of the island,
Perfect outdoor kitchen! Fridge, cooktop and sink. A little light on seating inside for watching movies.
I'd prefer the stove top to be more centred to get space either side. The island could have a flip up so you could have stools around it, so you could not have the table, putting more seating there. Lots of families don't use a table to eat anymore

It’s so very clean and I love the dull brightness of the light

The pull out couch in the bunk room doesn't make sense. What happens if it's pulled out and someone needs to use the restroom?

I like it, just not the length. If you can get all that and be 10’ shorter, then I’m in. LOL. Great presentation Myles.

I love them large windows
Nice bunkroom, but no space for a tv. But I do love the closet and the w/d outside the closet. Nice unit! 😁
The TV gets mounted on the wall. It has a backer. And for a fairly decent sized one, as well
What is the difference between framed in windows & frameless windows? Besides the frame?

Have you done a Reflection 362TBS? trying to narrow down 😂
I'm surprised that there is very little difference between the MSRP and the sales price. Usually there is. Oh well

I feel like the price rages are getting to high and the quality too low now😊
What fifthwheel has a rear bedroom and a forward living room ?
Every brand of fifth wheel out there makes one. They are called front living fifth wheels
I don’t like the extra door in the extra bedroom !

Yuke!!!!!
for crying out loud, does the video really need to be nearly 42 minutes long? geez.
Wait till you find out movies are an hour to 3 hrs long.
Yeah it does. I would much rather it be 42 minutes and show everything than 15 and show barley anything.
I enjoyed all 42 minutes. Nicely done video.
Where’s your V wife????
😂 I get what you mean...
