  • Hi every one, here in the UK Crows and Magpies can cause devastating damage to the rare nesting birds we have on our moors for example Curlews, lapwings meadow pipits and many many more, they also predate on the song bird population ,also around lambing time the crows will peck out the eyes of the new born lambs while they are vulnerable just after birth and even at times while the Ewe is giving birth crows will peck out the eyes and tongues of a lamb, so as a pest controller our laws let us control them all year round, here i am using a 223 rifle as the crows and magpies can wise up avoiding traps and keeping out of range of air rifles and shotguns at times. Any disbelievers please feel free to google and see the damage for your self. cheers.

About 20 years ago I moved into a quiet residential neighborhood, soon learned it had a crow problem. I have a cheep 22cal break barrel air rifle. In the backyard of the house across the street is a large oak tree 80 feet or so high. It (was) common to see a flock of crows there. It's about 77/80 yards from my shooting position, right at the effective maximum range of my cheep gun. Maybe twice a month I'd pick one off out of that tree, the rest would take flight circle around for several minutes making a huge racket, even my numerous misses would stir them up and make them take flight. After 4 or five months of this I was seeing less and less of them. Now I never see flocks of them but an occasional individual will show up once in a while in my yard or telephone pole or wire. If I can, without being obvious I'll pick those off too. Crows are smart, they do learn, My area is nearly crow free for 15 plus years.

Nice work as always. I had to do a double take. When you first showed yourself in profile, i thought, He's using his non-dominant eye! then you showed from a front angle and I saw why it looked that way.
    Target recognition sure is important.
Jack looks very happy and eager to help.

Back in 2007 when my Duke(black lab)had a bad limp the vet gave me some new arthritis pills to give him and they worked wonders, he was able to run and play a lot better. It was dreadful follow-up visit with x-rays told the truth, bone cancer in his left shoulder and down his spine, I'll never forget my Duke😔
Love seeing Jack by your side Simon, he is so well trained. I've been waiting on some nuisance bird shooting 👍👍Great shoot'n my friend!!! Especially the pumpkin at the end. Show off!!! 🤣😂🤣jk my brother. Take care and God Bless

Forgive me if this sounds boastful,… But this American can shoot like that.
I grew up shooting around 2000 rounds a week as I grew up.
Many find memories as I watch this video.... as we cleared the fields of woodchucks here and upstate New York.
