Mr. Venturino was a true gentleman and quite the expert as far as firearms and loads were concerned.
He always had time to assist anyone, answering emails and the like.
When I had some rather specific questions regarding paper patched bullets in my black powder Sharps rifle, he responded quickly and gave me good advice.
He will be greatly missed. RIP Mike.

Every month I'd look forward to another article from Mike. I have used many of his load recipes with great results. When everyone else was trying to make magnums he helped me keep my feet on the ground and enjoy the cartridges how they were intended. I have never personally met him but feel I know him from the 20 plus years of reading his works over and over. Thank you.

I've always liked the Sten gun. Thanks for bringing this to us. Mike Venturino will be missed.

Mike and a select few others were the real deal regarding the classic firearms. He walked the walk as they say. We are losing the great ones way too soon. I’ve had the pleasure of firing the sten a few times at Knob Creek. It’s one of my favorites.

That looks like a fun one to shoot!
I had a toy machine gun as a kid back in the 70's. Three decades later I realized it was patterned after the MP40.
Just got Rifle #336 today. Immediately turned to the tribute to Mike. Very touching. Thank you, Jeremiah.😢
Couple days after he passed, I ordered the three Old West books, to accompany my copy of WWII Small Arms. Will tackle those this winter, if not sooner.
Thanks again for helping me obtain HL #336. I sleep better knowing my HL collection is complete. 😊

Jeremiah, that was a very nice tribute to Mike "Duke" Venturino in the most recent Handloader magazine. Well done, young man!
