Here’s some key tips from this vid i gathered 1. tighter mechanics on speedflip kickoffs 2. challenge before opponent recovers/gains control when they first get the ball 3. manage boost better. focus on small pads and flip instead when you can 4. go for bumps when u can 5. always boost before you jump on aerials 6. playing smart/passive is good, but when you see the openings show more confidence
Hi Jack, im a hardcore Okhaled supporter, every time u beat him i would get resentful and upset. But ordering food and having nothing to watch but your videos.. that sort of helped me see that you are an amazing player, a good person and someone who gives so much wonderful tips, today i subbed. And i want you to know that i am a huge supporter of you from this day onwards. Best of luck in everything you do. Finally...” What a save!” 😂
Jack, this exactly what any player above gc needs. It's not about the general things but it's about details and learning how to play at the highest level. This is the only place you can find it. Thank you so much and keep grinding!
I have the same issue when I try speed flip kickoffs. It's so effortless to speed flip to move across the field, but at kick off I overthink it and tense myself up. Gotta stay relaxed at the kickoff
Jack, I don't know if it has hit you yet, but you are the most talented player in rocket league history. A very small group of humans have claim to be "the GOAT" of a game/sport. To compete with Okhalid on the level that you do is nothing short of an extraordinary human achievement. Just wanted to let you know that my friend! Keep grinding until the entire community recognizes you as the undisputed GOAT. You have that potential!
Really like these types of videos, it means I don't have to study in slow motion what pros are doing in certain situations to learn because even tho I watch pro players they may still be making the wrong plays and even tho I am watching in slow motion what they do in certain situations I may not know what could be done better. I really hope you do lots more of this content 🙏
I'm loving all your videos bro. It's easy to see why you're the top ones player. You've got the big brain to analyse the game and break it down into words/thoughts and you're also your own critic. There's only 1 thing that I think is holding you back sometimes and I'm sure you know it too. Confidence. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having confidence in yourself bro and if you get knocked down you just have to get back up and keep soldering on. There's no need to beat yourself up. Just give and take the advice that you would give to a friend if the same thing happened to them. When your confidence peaks you're going to be unstoppable. I feel like it's just around the corner and I'll be happy to have witnessed it. Keep it up and don't even let yourself get in the way!
Great video super helpful! Ide like to see more of these. The ssl videos are fun to watch, but a little harder to follow in terms of things I can practically use in my C3 games
You can use anything you see in an SSL game in a C3 game, you just need to know what you can and can't do yourself. Most SSL's don't even score a flip reset every game. The positioning and strategy is exactly the same no matter what rank you're in
@@iamnotjcook Well I understand that. I've been watching ssl/pro gameplay for a long time. Im just saying that I find replay analysis like this helpful because the mistakes are made obvious.
@@noahshaw2934 I think seeing an SSL or pro punish a tiny mistake is also helpful. Though him saying what can be done better and not having to talk while playing makes it a lot more informative since he can think about it not on the fly
really good video, please do more of these around c3-gc2 imo this way you could give some of the best advice possible for players near these ranks. hope ya get 50k soon man!
Exactly, I’m around 1700 which is like top 0.1% of players but whenever I run into a pro I get absolutely destroyed, it’s crazy how much better they are
I’m gc2 solo queue. And I’m a brain first player too.. but you saying that stopping before you jump when you’re shadowing is going to help me so much... it makes a lot of sense. I was wondering why I struggled to hit it in the corner in those positions 😂 I need to train more as well I can’t even aerial inverted 😢
Gc2 and can’t aerial inverted? Howww?! Your game sense must be insane to cover for that. You really need to learn to aerial backwards to shadow well. Practice the obstacle course maps on the workshop and you’ll get it down in a month.
@@RJMH it’s bad man... I have great game sense. Plus my 50s and dribbles carry me on offense. And for 3s I make decisions quickly but I’m still inconsistent at hitting the ball well and I know it’s because I’m just trying to learn air roll 😅
@@anthonydargan1459 wtf lmao go put ai roll left or right somewhere and train it in workshops for a week and you'll be 10times better i switched from normal air roll to air roll right like a few months ago aswell 1000% worth it so much more control am gc2 in 2s and 3s pushing for gc3
Please bring more of those game analytics, i love them. Could u do ranks like diamond or lower ranks too? Great vid i earned a Bit of knowledge from it!
I think the two major issues were not picking up pads and being to "courteous" with his teammate's recovery lines. He hesitated a lot when his teammate rotated out short and that cost him a decent amount of space and momentum.
I am currently gc2 in 2s and gc1 in 3s and my goal is to get ssl before I go back to school, so I have 2 months to go up 2 ranks in 2s and I'm not sure what to do to accomplish that. These videos are just what I need to get there. Thanks.
I'm having a hard time figuring something out. I know its me, like. Solo Q is hard. I get that. I'm having problems adapting to my teammates playstyle. I always feel like I'm stuck in third man, or offense. When my teammates won't push back should I just push forward? I really try to avoid double commission but I've noticed recently my teammates think I'm just a goalie, won't rotate back post. So should I just push out more, despite the double commits, open net, etc? It sounds like no. I just sit back and stay chill. Usually if I get the ball I can clear it to score, or if I make a mistake I can easily make a passing play. Then it is right back to goal, or 3rd man. But even when I do this I feel like nobody rotates back, or maybe I'm just too scared to leave the goal, Cause when I do, EVERY, time, they still don't rotate back, and we get scored on. Am I just meant to be defense? Am I too slow and too scared to just dive at my own teamm8s play. What if it isn't even the right angle to score, should I try to pass it to other teammate, and get it away from the ball chaser? I'm just. Perplexed. Sincerely, A rank I am claiming to be, but I'm definitely not.
Around 9:00 you talk about him wasting boost on aerials, I was wondering if you can elaborate as to what could be done to be faster or explain what he could have done vs just what he didn't do.
Little late but for anyone else reading this I think his point is boosting on the ground is faster than boosting in the air so preferably use boost on the ground to get more underneath the ball before jumping then you don’t have to wast boost approaching the ball from farther away in the air. Correct me if I’m wrong
I think this would be better for 1v1, in 2v2 the mistakes are kinda obvious but in 1v1 sometimes you really don't know what would be the better play and there's way more subtlety
You should make a speed flip tutorial. I am champ 1/Diamond 3 and I've attempted to learn it before but it seems way too complicated. Not saying that would change with a vid from you, but maybe you could do a better job teaching it
Right I know everyone says this, and for clarification I'm not saying that I should be GC/I could beat a GC but I swear this game looked fairly similar to my D3/C1 games. They're definitely more consistent overall but it does make me wonder how I would have fared in this game myself. Again, not saying I should be GC - I'm exactly where I deserve to be but I do feel like I can do most of what this guy did in the video. Edit: More clarity - I don't really watch my own replays so it's entirely possible that I picture myself with more skill than I actually have. Just relaying thoughts haha
i don't even know how i am gc2 ive not been playing much at all the last 3 years cuz i was playing fortnite mainly have been getting into rl again and almost got gc3 in 3s
