I went to fort MEYERS last June and got a desert rose which I thought would die..the caudex turned a squash yellow and went from round to a almost cylinder shape and was soft .I put cinnamon on it and I brought it indoors ..I live in ohio..to my surprise there are flower buds on it!! We are going to stop by your shop on the way to Hollywood Florida to buy alot of your Rose's! Maria. C

Maria your plants look so good and healthy. what do you use for pesticides? i usually get mealy bug infestation an yes i use alcohol but sometimes its too big of a problem. Sometimes scale also but not much.
Hi Maria, my name is Dale Andrews, a "liker" and subscriber from Lake Charles, LA. I presently have 4 Adenium obesums and 2 A. Arabicums I purchased from online vendors. They are in terra cotta pots with desert/succulent potting mix and are presently getting full sun outside my patio at 83 degrees. Here in Lake Charles, we get very hot in the summer, so they'll love it. They won't particularly enjoy the HUMIDITY, but what can I do? I'm sure they won't mind. I enjoy your channel and it's where I get a lot of my gardening info. Keep posting and happy gardening! 🪴

Hi Maria, love you and your videos and how well you explain everything. I just bought 10 seeds of desert rose from seedrack.com before I found your videos. Anyway, I saw the one video you made of planting seeds. Do you still recommend using the 80% potting soil and 20% peatmoss/perlite mix with some osmocote for planting the seeds? I assume this 70% bark chips and 30% potting soil is for established desert roses. Look forward to hearing from you!
As always, a nice informative and entertaining video. One question however, you said to use Epsom salts in the soil for the babies. Did you mean to say "sulfur"? This was the first video in which I have heard you say to use Epsom salt for anything. I do use it in the garden for tomatoes and peppers. If it is good for desert roses, I suppose we could top dress them with a little Epsom salt.
