Hi Christine - thanks for listening. Almost didn't post this one - because the video seemed rather boring to us. But the audio was good - so we posted it anyway. We call it the 'brown" video - since it looks all brown - including Rick's shirt! In our opinion - better ones on the way, so thanks for staying in touch. Lydia & Rick
@lydandrick I really like it! I think there's something about the simplicity of the scene with that song that really works together. I really like the background (but I am a country girl at heart 😉). You made the right decision to post it!
@@christinelynn2023 Thanks Christine. We also took a chance doing a Rick solo song since Lydia's time is currently limited due to her career. We also felt that this song wasn't nearly as good as the one before this (Harvest Moon). And this one also wasn't nearly as hard to produce by far. But this one now has twice the views - so go figure! LOL Pretty cool new ones in the works (we think anyway).🙂 Thanks for keeping in touch. Lydia & Rick
Fantastic! Killer harmonica, wonderful vocals and that great guitar. Add a totally perfect bass from Lydia in the background as you did and this is fantastic. Thank you for sharing your incredible talents.
Thanks again Clive. We can tell that you must be listening on a quality sound system to pick up the bass and the other added tracks. When people listen on their cell phones - they can't even hear that stuff. Some of our videos take a lot of work - like when Lydia does multiple violin backings - so glad that you notice! Lydia & Rick👍
Beautifully played and sung song. Your accordion playing brought back memories of my late husband. He also loved playing the harmonica and played it very well. I'm looking forward to your next video and sending lots of greetings and hugs from the Czech Republic... Zdenka sr. ❤🍀🪕🎸🎻🪈🎤
Thanks for listening and great to hear from you again! Hopefully, we're back on track to publish a new video every 2 weeks. So glad that our music brings back some good memories for you! Thanks for keeping in touch with us from way over there! Lydia & Rick
Great "Out on the Weekend" cover Rick!!! I love Neil Young's music ...Excellent vocal and acoustic play my friend and loved the harmonica! Have a great weekend.... Steve
Thanks for listening again Steven. One of the few harmonica songs that I know. Sometime Neil Young songs force you to learn the harmonica on a song. This one came pretty easy for me for some reason. Saw your cover of "Colour My World". I put that song up there with "Harvest Moon" as the most romantic songs of all time. At least for that generation! LOL. I used to try figuring it out a LONG time ago, but never got past the first 4 bars. Unfortunately, that was before RUclips was around to have people teach how to do it. Nice job. Rick
@@lydandrick you're very welcome Rick! I've covered a few Neil Young songs myself and usually whistle in place of the harmonica.... But you're right I have to practice on it for sure. He also sings pretty high up there in the stratosphere which I've tried to do occasionally 😱 Both you and Lydia are very talented and I really enjoy your videos....have a great day! Steve
@@StevenEarney Steve, I tune my guitar a full step low, just in case I run across a song that is sung too high for me - which is a LOT of them! That way, I can play the normal chords, but still have it in a range that my vocal may be able to handle. If you look at thus video - you can see that I have my capo on the second fret. But that is really standard tuning on my guitar since my guitar is tuned a step low. Rick
Thanks Mark, for taking a moment to send such a nice comment. Yes, I started playing that song a LONG time ago, and finally felt that I needed to post it. So thanks so much for listening to it! Much appreciated! Rick
Another great job! Love the background too!
