Trash or Treasure? Can this Guitar be Saved or Transformed into an Octave Mandolin?

- This guitar was found on the side of the road in the garbage - he picked it up and gave it to me to see what I could do with it. I think I have decided to turn it into an Octave Mandolin... crazy, right? I was inspired but some beautiful Octave mandolins made by Northfield instruments. It has some issues with the headstock, but other than that, it is in very good shape. Let me know in the comments what you think. Stay tuned for more videos to come in the series.

Definitely worth bringing back to life.
Go for it. Looks like a great project. Any instrument saved ia a win!
Sounds like a great idea - didn't even know converting it was an option!
You got my attention, excellent idea. I love watching masters outside the box. It gives me insight into thought processes.
Could you re-cut the headstock at the break… clean it up and glue it with the proper glue?
By the way, enjoying your videos very much 👍👍
We'll see how it goes once I start working on it.
Mando String Length? Would you order custom guitar strings?
I ordered Octave Mandolin strings from D'addario
It's a dreadknot guitar. Not worth fixing!!!!!!
That's a great idea, I have an old one I'll watch and learn then do mind .
