Needed this today (and always honestly) I’ve watched these through like 10 times and they all make me laugh predictably and I pick new funny things up each time. Would love another series or another iteration of Partridge programming!
The Oasthouse podcasts are excellent and really stand up to repeat listening, where you pick up new bits each time. I'm sick of the moaners who say AP isn't as funny as he used to be. If you've watched, read and listened to the entire output, staring with the Radio 4 stuff it's a pretty bloody amazing character development. The only glaring inconsistency is the fact that he's been middle aged for 32 years now, but who cares? John Shuttleworth has got a Scotty dog called Kirsty who's pushing on for 37 years of age 😄
@@hb-fc3jj I’ve only heard the first season of OastHouse and fucking hell was that funny , him being attacked by his own dog , falling after jumping over a small wall 😂 Alan is one of those characters who transcends media , I’ll always see him when listening and I’ll always hear him when reading
Love the awkwardness between partridge and Simon Denton he so upset when he shows any sign he getting successful same as in mid morning matters great banter
The bespectacled and bearded gentleman at the beginning is not in fact Dr. Raj Persaud, the 'disgraced' consultant psychiatrist who was struck off for plagiarism.

I feel like Partridge is too confident and assured here. In 'I'm Alan Partridge', he was much more pathetic and constantly failing, which made him funnier and definitely more likeable than he is here. Futility is the essence of the clown.
I agree. He has to grow and change a little, but this series is just too far from the essence of AP. I hate to say it - I love AP - but I struggle to find this funny.
I like this whole idea of somehow failing upwards into having a TV show...yes I know technically he did before but I mean coming from mid morning matters on local radio
Coogan skint again is he? He wheels Alan out every couple of years when his serious actor career isn't going well. Alan hasn't been funny since 'I am Alan Partridge' really, 25 years ago, apart from his biography.

I am still amazed with Alan's ability to draw perfect chalk circles. Truly a renaissance man with many hidden talents
Also if you look down to the word chemsex in chalk you can see Alan’s signature underneath, it’s the best
He has an ability to draw with chalk.
Remember the chalk Penis he drew on his back?
I can't believe that you people even believe that Alan Partidge exists. Are you all mad or something?

Credit must also go to Susannah Fielding as Jenny Gresham. She plays her part so well, I forget that she's not a real presenter.
“Up here you can be proud to be British and no left wing people can tut at you.”
Hahahahaha
Steve Coogan doing Partridge doing an American accent us just awesome!

5:50 I soooo want to see what Alan had imagined his character should be here lol.. before the "don't overthink it'.
Gotta love the “Network” reference
“I’m hopping mad and want something in the middle”
As revellers lost their minds to the sounds of Keane and the black eyed beans.
Keane 😂
"He feel asleep, near the ghost train funnily enough" 🤣
16:20 Alan references Huw Edwards.
The human Alan Partridge inevitably makes his supporting cast look like monsters.
I've just been out on my bike. My motorcycling is important to me, you know that.
Love simons fertive side glances.
Or furtive.
Riding that steel horse back home to you
Alan has improved with age IMO. Still hilarious.
Ah absolute genius.
‘Me or her?.😂😂😂😂😂

Genius comedy.
Love the ‘Network’ homage at the end…
Genius ❤️
but your going to have to stop going on at meeeeeee LOL

Even the talkshow set is purple.
Why are they always purple in the UK?
I love Alan Partridge!

John Kawasaki and John Suzuki😂🤣
Yeah, John Yamaha couldn't make it..!
Alan actually has superb hair for his age. Write that down will you Lynne.

He sounds like Dixon bainbridge

I wonder how Denise and Fernando are doing these days
Fernando has started letting Alan see his grandkids and Denise 'lives in Hebden Bridge'
@@hb-fc3jj Denise won't have children... "it's a lifestyle thing". I wonder if she's gay, Alan was being intentionally vague there.

I don’t want my arms to feel like a couple of fortnights in a bad ballon
When Alan takes on the male role, I literally can’t watch it. "Hey Baby Girl”. It’s too much..😅
Is the robot woman in the walking dead too
Apparently so, have read it before. I only got to season 3/4 and gave it up.
“Sexiness”
Without the role of women the Second Worlld war would have been slightly harder to win. 😅
It's not a sketch I particularly wanted to recreate from 30 years ago, but nonetheless....

America and Germany and China and Japan … and Singapore
Does Alan have a friend who runs that gym? Gets his mileage out of it
Personally Alan, I preferred cake
Slightly derivative of the limmy show sketch with the guy testing drugs but can't beat a bit of partridge.
Is the make-up artist Natasia Demetriou?
Yes
I was hoping they might spruce or spunk up an opening.
IMHO he used to be very very funny indeed, alas no more.
The truth? You can’’t handle the truth, scoff
I feel like Partridge is too confident and assured here. In 'I'm Alan Partridge', he was much more pathetic and constantly failing, which made him funnier and definitely more likeable than he is here. Futility is the essence of the clown.
Alan was in his 40's during 'I'm Alan Partridge', and is in his 60's here, so he's matured somewhat.
Nothing like Alan of old and nowhere near as funny.

Agreed .. Still worth a watch, with well acted moments of genuine cringe, but I actually hate this version of Alan.
I like this whole idea of somehow failing upwards into having a TV show...yes I know technically he did before but I mean coming from mid morning matters on local radio
Pronouncing scenario like a yank😒
I think thats the point, its a play on the fact that the actual people who are like this are pretentious and insufferable
The ironic thing is that even though it's Partridge, I find this almost as unwatchable as The One Show.
Such a shame to watch what was once a really funny character, become this. It's just crap now.
Coogan skint again is he? He wheels Alan out every couple of years when his serious actor career isn't going well. Alan hasn't been funny since 'I am Alan Partridge' really, 25 years ago, apart from his biography.

Love partridge, hate Coogan.
Mid Morning Matters is absolute peak Partridge.
1. Have you actually seen mid morning matters?
2. You know it's 'I'm Alan Partridge' not 'I am Alan Partridge'?
