Had a 2 door badlands do something similar. 6 months after buying it, took it for a road trip and on an off road trail the 4 wheel drive system failed. It would not stop showing warning lights and eventually in a week the battery died. Dealership switched my battery and did some kind of reset but never told me what’s wrong. I sold it after 9 months of owning it.
You didn't take the Bronco off road, and you had electrical problems. You start taking it off road and banging it around, your chance of see electrical problems will increase. Your chance of getting stranded increase.
The greatest enemy to electronics is extreme temperature changes, vibration and other electronic noise. To load a vehicle up with sensitive electronics is the absolute worst thing you can do and expect long or even short term reliability, it's not going to work.!!! I've worked in industry for 40 years, our DC Drives, AC Converter Drives and other sensitive electronic equipment were put in isolated temperature controlled, sound and dust proof rooms for that reason.
2022 bronco black diamond 2.7 sasquatch owner here. Trucks been great so far at 12k miles. Not my daily. Yes the cab is louder then most vehicles but for anyone thats spent time in any jeep its comparable. Added ford racing warranty approved calibration, eibach lift springs, badlands electric sway bar disconnect and 37" ko2. Can't believe how well it handles the 37's. Power for days. Also a beast of road. Living in the pacific northwest, I am able to have the roof off from june to sept. Decided on the marine grade vinyl seats and carpete delete so don't care if things get dirty. Wouldn't trade it in on anything right now especially at the price point I paid with price protection in 2021.
Not to nit pick, but I'll never understand people who buysoff-road vehicles with big nubby mud tires and 4-wheel drive systems, then complain about road noise and gas mileage. At a minimal, test drive the vehicle and see if the road noise is too loud for you. I have a 2023 Jeep Wrangle Willis with a stick. I'm not hearing any loud road noise and am currently getting 15.5 mpg around town with its V-6 and 4-door hard top.
well, its not the tire noise. I mention it in the video that yes tires are louder but thats not the problem, the problem lies in the hardtop and the doors not being sound proof/ reducing the sound. So I am not complaining about the tires, I can live with that.
Ya but i get his point. Ive been building/driving 4x4s for years. Open top doors off vehicles are not quiet. Broncos/jeeps ect will never be quiet compared to regular trucks and suvs. Either way, sorry about your Bronco.
@@utsavchatterjee3605 Yah I am not a fan of the inline 4 motors rather have the V6 and save 20K. I think they look really nice but I image it will be 60K like the bronco.
Won't be long i switch to Toyotas cause I enjoy DIY car care 4cylinders always started with Tacos n 4runners too so it won't be long til the market levels out 5th gens are still amazing and can be had for sub 30k now
Yea Ford makes the best trucks and my bronco hasn’t had 1 problem 35k miles but have the 2.7 v6 wildtrack not sure who this idiot is . Please tell me who makes the best and I will show you videos just like this
Our 21 F150 had 21 TSB from the factory but they only tell new owners. get the VIN and call the manufacturer and they will tell you before your purchase. Like the lemonade they sell as a lease plan now hoping to get one over on someone.
dang they paid you back interest too?! I'd say you did really well. I have a 4 door black diamond hardtop with a manual trans and I love it. no other option for a manual SUV. totally agree with all your points - I have a beater coupe for the summer so I can run the bronco with the doors off without worrying about it. kinda strange I treat my bronco like a motorcycle ha. best of luck with the next rig.
I got the 2 door black diamond manual. Lowest package so minimal electronics. I drive it every day and I'm at 50k miles. Done a few trails and it's gone through some snow storms. No issues so far.
You ever heard of a CB radio or satellite phone if your a newbie please don’t go off grid without proper communication because it can happen in any suv or off road vehicle you always plan ahead
Never really had too much window noise there definitely was wind noise coming from the roof. And there was most definitely a little cold leaking in from the windows. I worked with Sheboygan Ford.
What a nightmare. Years ago I had a similar issue with my Mustang 5.0 convertible. Electrical problems, nonstop. Now, in your case it’s even more in your face sort of speak with all the technology in the vehicle.
You probably should have bought a Badlands.... it off roads just fine. I have yet to have sand, mud, snow, water stop it. Complaining about its off road capability when you didn't take it out is really on you. That being said, Ford knows it has issues and should just own up to it. Replace the lemons and move on....
I bought a base 2-door manual trans Bronco and it's been great. There's no remote start or some of the other trinkets that cause some people issues. For me the Bronco is a fantastic vehicle, still pinch myself Ford delivered a true ladder frame removable top/doors rugged 4x4. Buying this vehicle for lux or image is doing it wrong though, but I hope those people keep buying ... to help subsidize the rest of us, lol.
Sorry to hear but tbh ive been tracking its RnD since 2010 its DNA is 80% Landrover derived Ranger included there may be some digital magazines online still dong take my word for it
i ant buying any of this new cheap lcd screen car/trucks new nanny electric steering cars truck garbage a code scanner should fix it at home or a new ecu simple but nope they ruined it ford sucks
RUclips CAR GUY: “I have so many problems with this vehicle! The dealership was awful! The manufacturing is flawed! I’m glad to be rid of it!!” Also RUclips CAR GUY: “yeah, I’d buy another one… and you should too!”
I don’t think people understand that you are given the illusion of mechanical operation. Most everything is done electronically. Think vehicle is a good example. I wonder much less expensive it would be without all the electronics
Well that’s what all new vehicles are. Without the electrical and software they would be a motor and a body. But without those things they wouldn’t sell as the average consumer wants those tech features and more so they need them to pass regulations to sell them.
I just bought a 2024 2door 2.3 Big Bend in April, just turned 9k miles on it, so far so good. I agree, it is a good daily and I'm looking forward to winter to see how it does in the snow, sleet and ice with the BFG KO2's that I have on it. Sorry to hear about the bad experience with yours. Any manufacturer can produce a bad and problematic vehicle and it sucks when you get one!
If I got a bronco I would probably use it mainly as a fun weekend suv/Car something I can look forward to driving and it would put less miles on it. With that being said the Bronco is a good looking and seems fun to drive
You really can’t just take a soft top off and back on just like that. You can pop it back but it’s a little bit more than just popping it off and back on. What do you expect from an automobile with big tires? Bigger tires make noise on the road.Maybe do a little bit more research and even test drive it for a while. This is not a European sports car.
The road noise from the bronco was dramatically changed in the raptor proving they could and should have used better qualities in the first year. For the price of vehicle my complains are very valid. It’s not a 5k Jeep
Making cars "smart" is turning out not to be so smart!!
Thats why I prefer my trucks with the least amount of electronics available. I hate that crap.
Seeing new cars that are even worse I want to stick to older vehicles for a while
I agree, have a 2000 XLT for Ranger and it just keeps running :)
Ford really didn't understand the original Bronco. It was tough and no frills. Designed to go off road. These are glitzy high-tech road vehicles.
They definitely understand what the bronco was. Vehicles have changed, customers have changed and most importantly regulations have changed
My 1964 Chevy C/10 ,….does exactly what it needs to do when I turn the key! Simple mechanics and ZERO issues ❗

My warnings went away but still had the problem now and then just weird
Glad I ran into this. I was strongly considering a base 2 door but a lot of these new cars scare me. Looks like it’s between a Tacoma and FJ Cruiser.
You didn't take the Bronco off road, and you had electrical problems. You start taking it off road and banging it around, your chance of see electrical problems will increase. Your chance of getting stranded increase.
All of these electronics will be the death of all of us..imagine pulling out in front of a semi and the computer says NO...

The term "smart" equates to "dum". 😂
Buy the new 4runner if you want to buy another offroad vehicle. The trd pro looks awesome.
I liked the 4 runner that I had rented a few years back, I think the trd pro is overpriced but the more base models with the v6 I would consider.
@NavsGarage I’m talking about the new ones which are going to launch next year similar to the new tacoma.
@@utsavchatterjee3605 Brand new ones aren't likely to be as reliable as the old bulletproof V6 versions.

Yah I think so. Having a Bronco as a second vehicle makes more sense than daily in the summer imo
I got the 2 door black diamond manual. Lowest package so minimal electronics. I drive it every day and I'm at 50k miles. Done a few trails and it's gone through some snow storms. No issues so far.
That's not a repossession. A repossession is when you don't pay your car loan and they take your car back.
Thank goodness you didn’t take that truck out. Can you imagine being stranded somewhere remote and hard to reach? No Thanks!
You ever heard of a CB radio or satellite phone if your a newbie please don’t go off grid without proper communication because it can happen in any suv or off road vehicle you always plan ahead
Check the battery connections
I'm sure that was never checked. Brilliant
Did your windows ever whistle at highway speeds on cold days? What dealer did you work with? I’m in the Madison area.
Never really had too much window noise there definitely was wind noise coming from the roof. And there was most definitely a little cold leaking in from the windows.

I don’t think I complained about the off road capability?
What avout the dealership upcharge?
Paid msrp. Idk if they would cover up charge.
Why do idiots want a computer on wheels? I want a car on wheels!
Unfortunately it’s just how all new cars are

Nissan 😂 or a Fiat gladiator good luck

Why would I want to buy a computer on wheels. For what you paid for that Bronco you can buy 3 1978-94 Broncos
Hard to compare the old and new ones. Around me all of them are clapped
i ant buying any of this new cheap lcd screen car/trucks new nanny electric steering cars truck garbage a code scanner should fix it at home or a new ecu simple but nope they ruined it ford sucks
Tell you have a guy named Luigi coming to talk to them
Yeah I’ll give that a like
RUclips CAR GUY: “I have so many problems with this vehicle! The dealership was awful! The manufacturing is flawed! I’m glad to be rid of it!!”

Go buy a rebuilt Gen 2 Bronco that's Coyote powered and enjoy. Electronics in modern vehicles will cause the vehicles a early demise.
I want a blown motor on and barra swap one. You are right about modern vehicles tho.

Once again. Not about the noise from the tires. It’s the noise from the top.
No wonder used Jeep XJs are doubling in price. No one wants this advanced junk for weekend offroaders.
This is very true. That and new vehicles are too expensive
not sure what you expected buying a FORD!
That ain’t a Bronco thats s Bronkette really Broncos were based on a full size vehicle that a cheap imitation!
It’s based off a ranger, a proper truck. If they based it off the f150 image how big it would be lol. It’s already massive.
This is a typical car person that tries off road driving wind noise , I mean are you serious . You should have bought a two door wildtrack
The road noise from the bronco was dramatically changed in the raptor proving they could and should have used better qualities in the first year. For the price of vehicle my complains are very valid. It’s not a 5k Jeep
You are not 15 anymore boy, stop labeling any criticism as being a hater.
Dude, Its a Ford. Its suppose to do this stuff.
