@@HamRadioDX 10GHz EME is roughly the same thing :) In the US were limited to 500ft for the balloon so it won't be as good as short NVIS but it should be a lot closer to a 2m repeater for coverage. I'm thinking a colinear with a stacked yagi pointing down at a transceiver for general operation and some extra tethers to keep it from spinning and another stacked yagi for point to point. Another thought I had was using a G-line feed line as a tether. You VK guys are full of cool inspiring ideas. Once I saw one of your microwave videos after seeing VK3YE's passive repeater videos it clicked.
Is this at 1.5 speed or something? Something is weird about the audio.
yeah it sounds normal-ish at 0.75x speed
@@chfourchfour Agreed. Sounds like a normal human at 0.75x speed.
Yes has been sped up 2X, the original Zoom went for 2 hours
Yeah slightly sped up. You can slow playback using RUclips
This takes me back de Barry G4DIP
Your videos on microwave stuff has me seriously considering getting some 10GHz gear. I want to give a tethered balloon mounted passive repeater a try.
10 GHz passive repeater? That sounds intriguing

Do you think Australia missed an opportunity to overhaul the HAM exams whilst overhauling the licence system??
Kudos to you!!! 🙂
